Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
pLuto Blueflame had only been a warrior for a few short moons and in that time she'd ppushed herself to become more open with her feelings on a certain tom. But either she wasn't being obvious enough, which was possible since her methods were more of volunteering to be on every patrol or hunting group he was on. Or he was oblivious or rejecting her advances. The only way to find out would be to spell it out. Either she'd get her heartbroken or she'd finally have her man.
Now where to find him? Gazing around camp, she searched for Poisonrush. The orange and white tabby hardly watched where she was walking, her eyes searched around her and not in front of her. A consequence that caused her to knock into someone. That someone being just the cat she was looking for. Great, she'd found him, but she'd also just shown she was clumsy fool too.
"Yeah, I suppose you cou-," Poisonrush's words were cut off as he felt something bump into. Turning around, he saw that it was Bmueflame. "Oh, hey, Blueflame, are you okay?" he asked sincerely. Icefrost leaned over to look behind his companion to see who he was talking to and a grin slowly spread across his face. Being the observant cat he is, he had connected the dots and figured out shy it was that Blueflame had always volunteered to do anything that involved Poisonrush. Backing away, the grin still on his face, he said, "Hey Poisonrush, I'll see you later. I just remembered Burningember wanted to show me something." Poisonrush quickly nodded in response to the other tom before shifting his full attention to the newcomer.
(I hope you like awkward role playing cus she's gonna be awkward like the whole time lol)
"Um..." She was speechless. Here was her crush actually talking to her. Her of all cats! Poor Blueflame just laid in a puddle on the ground, looking up in wonder at the tom before her. She'd completely forgotten that she'd been looking for him in the first place. Or even that she was going to confess her feelings to him. Poor orange and white fur was a ruffled mess from her fall, the dust had collected on some of her fur and a leaf had made its way to her side, sticking to her like glue. But she didn't notice anything of this or that Icefrrost had just left them alone, on purpose at that.
( Lol that's fine but I have faith that PR will get her out of the awkwardness stage )
He gave her a friendly smile. "Are you okay?" he asked again as he went to help her up. For some reason, Icefrost's disappearance was rather suspicious but he had to put a hold on that. "Here, let me help you up." As he went to her side, he caught her eyes and he couldnt help it but get caught in her eyes. He had had talked to her before but never enough to notice it before but now? Wow...
(Lol I'd love it if he's almost looking at her like a little kid, but then realizes that she's not and starts to fall for her. Just an option, doesn't have to happen that way!)
"I LIKE YOU!" Oh my StarClan, did she just blurt that out loud. Her eyes went wide and her face heated up. Up she'd just said that out loud. Screamed it even. Now the whole clan knew about her little crush, though honestly they probably knew before hand. Blueflame looked up at the tom, then high tailed it out of there like the fool she was. Star above she'd just screwed that up. At least she'd said it. Did as she promised herself she would. But...she could have done it better than that.
Her head hung low as she came to a walk outside of camp. In her mad dash, she'd nearly ran over two cats, tripped at the entrance, and stumbled on a stick not far past camp. Beaten up from her sprint, and embarrassed beyond belief, she allowed her paws to carry her away from camp. No way was she gonna be able to face any of her clanmates now. At least for the next few days. Yea she'd just live out here. Find a nice hollow tree and camp out there till they forget she just did that.
(That's what I'm going for lol but what's the age gap here in terms of human years so I can understand haha, I cant convert to save my life. PR would be in his mid to late 20s)
The tom stood there in shock, confused by the she-cat's words. What could she mean by that? he asked himself. Just as he went to ask her, she darted off, clearly embarrassed. But for what? He didn't understand it, not one bit. He whipped around and watched her leave camp, bewildered. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Burningember and Icefrost covering their mouths with a paw trying to hold back laughter. "Hey, you two, what are you laughing about?" he questioned as he padded toward.
The twins instantly straightened out their faces as the Aurulent approached them. They cleared their throats and looked at each other. "Ahem...nothing, Poisonrush, nothing at all," Icefrost responded.
"No, really what were you two snickering about? Did it have something to do with what just happened?" he said with an incredulous look.
Burningember shook his head quickly, a cheesy smile spreading across his face. Icefrost was quick to jab him with a paw. Jokingly wincing at his brother, he said, "Yeah. Blueflame just confessed to you and all you could do was stand there? That doesn't happen everyday, man!"
"I mean...it was a bit random. I wa- I was caught off guard..."
"How could you have not seen the signs before. As "observant" as you are you should have caught the hints, man!"
"Uh...umm..." Poisonrush was at a loss for words. He honestly didnt put too much thought into it. He was always so task oriented he he didnt pay attention to it. And besides, she was younger than him, not by much, but still. He never would have guessed she had those sort of feelings. He sighed, still not knowing what to do about that.
"Here, take some advice from me. Its obvious she was embarrassed by what she just did, so she must have been holding it for some time now. Heck, I think everyone but you saw that she felt something for you. My recommendation is that you go after her if you really want to understand what that was about." Burningember suggested. Icefrost nodded his approval in the background.
"I dont know about-"
"Just do it, dude! It might be good for you."
Poisonrush thought about it for a moment before giving in. "Yeah, I suppose you're right," he said reluctantly as he turned to head toward the camp entrance This was so new to him. Admittedly, a part of him was interested in seeing what it was about but he repressed the thought. Let's find out
Poor Blueflame had collapsed in a puddle of despair. She'd royally embarrassed herself today. Gods above how she wanted the earth to just open up and swoll her whole. She could just make a nice pleasant trip over to the old Survival Clans, see if any of the earth there would just give away and end her misery. All of the clan had heard her, and if they hadn't gossip would make sure they knew about what happened. That was clan life for you. Nothing was truly secret when you lived in such close quarters with people. StarClan above! They all probably knew about her crush on the older tom. Yup, the ground swallowing her up sounded great right now.
Poisonrush followed the faint scent of the she-cat through the forest. Along the way, he thought of what he was going to say or, rather, what he should say to her. Thoughts were flooding his mind. How do I not make this awkward, how do I explain how I feel, what am I even feeling He shook the thoughts from his head and continued on, deciding that when he sees her, he would just say what comes to his mind first. As the scent got stronger, he knew he was getting closer and closer to the moment of truth.
Blueflame didn't pay any attention to the world around her. All caught up in her mind, going over and over what she'd done. The embarrassment left her a blushing mess even now. It'd been a few minutes since the incident but her mind wouldn't stop replaying it.
"Blueflame?" he called out to the woods in front of him. Glancing up, he could see that the sun was beginning to go down and the light was starting to fade. With no response, he called out again. Hopefully she is here somewhere. he thought as he continued forward.
Hearing her name, she perked up, curious and confused as to who would be looking for her. She had no family, as she'd been found as an orphan to the clan and very few friends to begin with. So who could possibly have come looking for her? Then out of the bush came the voice. The tom she really didn't want to face right now. Her blush deepened, her voice cracked, "h-hi...." StarClan above, couldn't she just well-o in self-pity? Leave her to be embarrassed all alone? He...he wasn't here to mock her right? Well if he was here to reject her at least it was out in the woods away from prying eyes. pLuto
A nervous smile awkwardly spread across his face as he exited the brush. Now what he supposed to say? "H-hey," responded tentatively. "I just wanted to come check in you. I me-, I mean..." he paused, thinking of the right words to say then shook his head, figuring he was overthinking the whole thing. "Did you really mean what you said earlier?" He winced slightly, thinking what he said was a little too direct. "Sorry," he said with a nervous chuckle. But why was he nervous? He was her senior, a role model. She was just promoted not too long ago. This wasn't the way to act around her. Unless there was an underlying reason he was failing to recognize....
"I-it's okay..." StarClan, were they a mess. Neither could find words for what had happened. "Sorry..about before. I didn't me-mean for me..you to be...embarrassed." Blueflame couldn't meet his eyes, paws shifting from spot to spot in nerves. "W-we could...I mean you could forget everything I said back there."
A nervous chuckle escaped from his mouth. Realizing what he had done, he took a deep breath and relaxed his nerves "No, no its okay. Really." he reassured her more confidently. "I actually came to talk to you about that. "Did you actually mean what you said?" Taking a moment to come to terms with himself, he felt that he should be honest. Standing in front of her, he felt something like a sort of excitement mixed with anxiety.
She blushed, even more, her face feeling as though it really was on fire. "I..I mean..yes..." Her eyes darted away from him, focusing once again on her paws. StarClan above, this was just torture! Could the ground just swallow her up? Any minute now, please! He had his answer now could he just leave her to cry in peace, reject her and just leave?
He looked down, thinking of what to say. "But why?" he said without thinking. His head suddenly snapped up, realizing what he just said. "I dont know why I said that, hehe..." he chuckled nervously. Shaking the thoughts from his head. "Okay, look I'm going to be honest with you, Blueflame."
She didn't have an answer for him for his question. Her mind had just decided she needed to blurt out her feelings. Sure she was gonna tell him anyway but not like that! Looking back up at him with her waterfilled blue eyes, she waited for him to continue. What did he have to be honest about? That he liked her as friends and that they shouldn't be anything more? That she was too young for him?
He offered the she-cat a small smile and returned her blue gaze with his own amber. "You've grown up to be a fine warrior, Blueflame. All the training you've done, all the progress you've made made, I admire that about you. I always have. I've always kept myself so busy with training and missions that I push my feelings aside and never realized it. But now, now that I'm talking to you...," He took a step toward her. "It's more than just admiration."
At first, hearing his words, she was sure he was turning her down. Rejecting her with the "you're too young" speech. But then his tone changed..and she could see a light at the end of the tree line. Hope began to blossom in her chest, filling her with the eagerness once again. A grin split onto her face, her gaze locking with his. "It is?!" Blueflame couldn't with hold her excitement now, it burst out of her as she hurried to speak her words, to find out that...could it be true, what she was thinking he was talking about?
"It is," he responded, his smile widening. Seeing her excitement was reassuring to say the least. He thought what he said came off as a little awkward but that that wasn't the case. This was the perfect time to go with his guy feeling and it felt great. For once, he was tapped into his inner being, something he had always struggled. It was a new experience but it was an eventual necessity. He was excited and anxious of what was to come.
