Meanwhile, it was just another day. Not that he got a lot of opportunities to actually pull the you don't know who i am line. Not that he was particularly talking about Lucistic too, but he wasn't gonna question it. Still, pack of dogs. Just sounded like a dog walker to him. "You can?" Funk tilted his head at Lucistic, catching the building that they just left in his peripheral. And an idea came to mind. Though, depending on the mutts, it might now work. Still, the Nemesis was curious. "Alright. We'll have to keep an eye out for this Hound. I wanna see this talent of yours in action."
The tom across the street simply nodded and retreated back into his home using the pet door, leaving the two Primal Instinct cats alone. Lucistic's eyes lit up as a grin fastened around his lips, "Alright let's go talk to some dogs then. I wonder if we'll get into an interesting discussion about squirrels again." He said thoughtfully, his paw tracing over his chin before he following Funk E'tan's lead.

Funk's light green gaze watched the kittypet disappear before turning to the long street ahead of them. He already forgot what the kittypet called the dog walker, settling his thoughts by putting his paws to the pavement. The squirrels... Funk wondered how much more they could get. These were pets though, nothing wild and mangy like he was used to. But, if Lucistic's talent was true, he could probably get the torture he craved. "Alright then." Not that he really knew which way to go, he just set off in the direction the kittypet pointed.
Soon enough the fortress was up ahead, its structure towering tall in cold grey stone and tall staircases that seemed to barely have much of an incline making the path ahead look rigid. Since walking to this side of the city the air tasted like muck and the skies had turned grey as though the very land was tamed to the Hounds gloomy fortress theme.
Lucistic took a few eager glances to look around at the surrounding land, likely hoping to find a dog somewhere. But thus far there seemed to be no dogs and while he wasn't thinking it this was a smart decision. If a two-leg saw stray aggressive dogs in the open there was no way this Hound character would be able to keep up his undercover business. What that business was exactly the kittypet hadn't offered the information.

So maybe he was hoping for more. To find this Hound or whatever and have Lucistic magically aggravate the dogs enough to where they could lead them back to the lab and hopefully give them a new snack. But the further the pair walked, the more strange he found that there were no dogs around. Normally, they were everywhere. Course, they could never show up when they actually wanted them to. Who was this Hound though? Funk figured they were some sort of dog walker, threw a couple coins to keep the mutts entertained for a bit. But he didn't think they had every dog. To make the area worse, it was quiet, other than the wind rattling the siding of a house.
"Well, this is starting to look like a bust." The Nemesis sighed, breaking that silence.
Lucistic's ears were pinned up right like a wolves. He listened carefully as the wind tickled against his ears, "We are here already, we could investigate the inside. At worse no ones there, but at best this is an ambush."

"That sounds like an awful idea," Funk's gaze didn't tear from the house in front of them. There was really no reason to risk it. But if there was one thing he would never admit to being, it was stupidly impulsive. "I love it, let's go." was all the nemesis needed to say before jumping to the top of the fence.
Lucistic's tail wagged, a sharp toothed grin lied lazily across his jawline at Funk E'tan's response. He wasted no time running up and into the building, but slipped on the marble floor collapsing to the ground. While lying on the white smooth flooring he tasted the air realizing that the scent of dog was thick, almost to a disgusting to degree. Standing up with his claws unsheathed he could see that the entire building was empty even in the dark. But there was something extra he wasn't picking up on, it wasn't faint, but rather far away. He couldn't figure out how that was possible when the room was rather bland even if it was big. There wasn't anything hidden in sight that he could tell. But hey it might still be an ambush!

"I wonder how MMMPHGHM is doing." Funk mused to himself as he followed behind Lucistic lazily. Instincts took over, and he unsheathed his claws to give him a little more friction on the floor. "Wow, marble. Someone is living the high life." The smell of dog hid everything else. Not even a trace of clipped grass or cooked food was in the air. Maybe there was something extra, but Funk didn't pick up on it either. Not that he was afraid, had any reason to fear. His confidence was overblown as he walked a couple of paces past Lucistic. "I get the appeal of the minimalistic style, though this is a bit much." Even in the dark, the white walls felt too bright. Only a few pieces of furniture were there, but they had all been shoved into a corner in an attempt to look stylish.
Lucistic snickered at Funk's comment, his laughter sly and taunting, "I bet he's doing great."
Suddenly the lights flashed on making Lucistic briefly look up when he hadn't originally. All along the top rim of the wall were balconies and behind them were cats starting to walk in to peer down at them. They were chattering rather casually like they were here to see a game.
Suddenly a small space in the wall opened up, it almost looked like a large vent maybe? Nothing came out at first, but suddenly two massive dogs crawled out. Neither behaved naturally, like they weren't right in the head or maybe fed something that put them off. The two hounds were already sniffing the ground, they hadn't yet spotted Lucistic or Funk E'tan.
Behind the two where they had come in there were cats now guarding the exit to make sure they couldn't leave.

Now that he was thinking about it, maybe he should have just killed MMMPHGHM instead of leaving him unsupervised. Sure, it'd be a waste. But less of a waste if he managed to escape his binds. Oh well, he was probably gonna hand him over to the Punishment district to be played with at the end anyway.
His thoughts were snapped away as the lights flashed on. Above them were all sorts of cats he didn't recognize. It reminded him of staring down at the fighters in the coliseum. Though, now he was here. Funk unconsciously stepped back to where Lucistic was. Despite the circumstances, he casually rubbed his paw against the floor before stealing a glance back at the guards behind them. "Aw, man. It is a trap. Who knew?" Funk sighed, about as exasperated as a kid you stop from going to the amusement park. Like this was just a bother, or an inconvenience, rather than a life-threatening situation. He made a note of the path here, already preparing to send scouts here once they escaped.
Even when the dogs came out, he only flinched a little. They didn't look right, not even spotting Funk and Lucistic even though they were right in front of them. "Somethin 'bout them doesn't seem right. Maybe they were given something?" Funk spoke lowly, a little more cautiously, before glancing over at Lucistic again. For as much as he wanted to turn tail and run, there was no way out. He'd have to trust Luc to get them out, even as his mind started putting together back up plans. "Well, Luc. Here's your chance to show off that nifty ability of yours." One that Funk still wasn't sure he ever had, but what choice did he have? "If you can't get through to them though, get ready to run. Maybe this floor will prove itself not as cheap as it looks." So Funk;s voice lilted back to it's usual laidback tone.
Lucistic looked at Funk and then back at the dogs, they looked rapid. True to his word though Lucistic barked at them with a deep thunderous tone, however that did little to deter the dogs. The tough part about dogs was he could never let them tear him to shreds. It was easy to get infections from dogs, in fact with feral dangerous mutts like these it was almost guaranteed. Then if he tried to get a dog to submit it was almost certain it wasn't going to listen.
His fur spiked up as his thoughts flew past him. It wouldn't listen because clearly they were on something making them act out of control. He pulled back a smile as the dogs came at them, but there was little they could do with the doors closed.
Lucistic turned tail and ran nudging Funk forward to do the same, "The floors slippery, if we run and then do a fast turn they won't be able to rotate fast enough. That's when we can strike and damage their eyes or muzzle, they're sensitive there." Not that Funk E'tan would know it, but in their very very old territory dogs were a bit of an issue. Something hunters just had to learn how to handle.

Funk's ears flattened against his skull at Lucistic's bark. "Oh my god, you were not joking." His exclamation trailed off into a laugh. Like wow, he could really do it if these dogs weren't nuts. Course, Funk had no idea about the past of Primal Instinct, but was familiar with dealing with dogs in the city to work out his own ways.
He stepped back a few paces as Lucistic nudged him back. "Yep, that's what I was thinking. You can get them to slide into things too, but it's risky. But if we could get one of them to slide into one of the windows or some of the cat guards, we can make a run for it." And then come back with a whole swam of Punishment cats and let them go nuts. These cats must have not known who they were messing with.
"Alright, we'll run right at those guards then and split," Lucistic agreed as he carefully aimed himself at the guards, but not a moment before it was too late to slamming into him he made a sharp turn ducking out of the way so the dog following him would barrel into the guard and could only hope that the two after Funk would do the same.

Of course Funk had two on him. One of them really could not have gone after the other lanky tom huh? He was at least used to leading dogs around. His siblings and he did it a lot in their youth when they were smaller and maybe faster. His heart pounded in his chest, teeth clicking next to his tail as he took them around a longer path to give Lucistic time. As soon as one dog barreled into the guards, he followed and led a second one into them. But the third dog skidded to a stop before the pile, managing to keep chasing after Funk. "Damn. Should have guessed."
Lucistic stood by, expectantly, once Funk swerved the other two into the guards they could run off. His ears drooped as he watched one dog slip into the other, but one of them kept following. Lucistic raced around the other side of the circular room until he met the dog as it rounded the bend. Leaping out into the side of the dogs muzzle he gripped onto its face and began to bite and claws at the beast, knowing a dogs most sensitive area was around where the muzzle was. Instead though the dog hardly flinched, consumed by whatever it was given. At first despite all of Lucistic's clawing the dog still pursued Funk, but after a moment the dog seemed to realize the irritation Lucistic was bringing it and instead thrashed Lucistic onto the ground in front of it. Lucistic hardly had time to react as the dog bit down over Lucistic's body. There wasn't a scream only a gasp as the air left Lucistic's body. The dog wasn't even letting go, holding onto Lucistic like a prize he didn't want to lose.
A new figure emerged from the balcony section, staring down with brand new interest, "Fascinating situation you're in Funk E'tan," The voice wasn't natural, it sounded like insane mans impersonation of sanity, "That dog is made of raw muscle and his jaw strength is more impressive than anything your claws can do. But it looks like you can leave. Or maybe you actually want to keep your friend. But if you do looks like we'll have to have a trade. My puppy seems uninterested in letting his new chew toy go," The stranger said, his voice echoing easily across the building.

Funk was in a predicament where all he could do was run. Even if he considered some trick to scale the wall then jump on the dog's back, Funk couldn't line himself up well enough. Or when his second attempt ended with him launching himself over the dog, he gave up. The Nemesis heard the dog come to a halt, but could do nothing as it bit down on Lucistic.
His feet moved before he could think of it, approaching the dog even when every other instinct told him to run away. The voice stopped him, drawing his attention up. Even as he spoke, Funk's gaze flattened. Like he was listening to a really boring lecture. Just as quickly, he relaxed once the voice stopped. His voice may have echoed but Funk E'tan's laugh boomed across the building. A loud, mad laugh that left everyone silent except for him. It was dark, commanding, drawing all that attention back to him.
Funk finally gasped for air, something Lucistic didn't quite have the luxury of yet. "How pathetic. I've never heard such an inane plea in my life. You, trade with me? Who even are you, really?" This guy really knew nothing. Didn't know Lucistic's tolerance, and didn't know how many dogs Funk had to wrestle off his siblings. He quietly thanked those lessons he got from Fox and Eshek before he bolted. Nothing else was usable, it was just himself. Darting underneath the dog, he was able to climb up it. His paws, and his claws, must have still been coated in whatever he gave that cat. He hooked his back legs around the dog's neck and let his front legs go to town. Funk found the softest parts, the hollowest parts and hit there. His claws sank into the dog's nose, scratching until it became a bloody mess. Attempting to stifle the dog's breathing and force it to let go of Lucistic while trying to sink as much of the poison into it as possible. "Luc! If you die on me, I'm bringing you back just to kill you myself. Now hit what you can."
"Someone who's seen the birth of empires and the fall of cat kind as many times as an oceans waved at shore. I've lived many life times, what I wouldn't give to see the world through young eyes like you," The cat said dreamily as he lied down, watching as Funk E'tan pitted himself against the dog, "You and I have walked similar journeys," He ventured, "Bite down!" He commanded curtly as the dog made a sickening crunch as it bit down against Lucistic's body, but it seemed to be learning that holding onto his prize wasn't very worth it. Especially when its mind was already hazy with drugs, but now with poison to the mix the mutt was beginning to appear disoriented even if it was a smaller dose for a dog his size.
"I've seen enough, this was... Boring." He stood up and turned the other way.
The dog at this point let go of Lucistic as it mainly focused on pawing at its own muzzle as though it had fleas or didn't recognize the pain as suffering.
Lucistic grunted hitting the ground with a heavy thud. He loved this kind of dying pain, it was relaxing, one only a skilled tormentor could grant him. Whatever cracked inside of him that didn't seem to be what was killing him so much as the blood flow from the bite. He looked at Funk E'tan with a for once dull expression instead of the brightness that typically lit his eyes. "Can you do me a favor and save my life? I know it's pretty big, but I'll pay you back," Lucistic said without smiling, he was beat and couldn't put in much effort of anything. Even keeping his voice steady was hard. Worse yet he was entirely serious, even the nicest guys in the league didn't save anyone if they were a burden. Really he was one of the few hunters who would go out of his way to help anyone in need and at this point he wasn't sure if Funk E'tan would help him.
(This is back in early February so it was back before they really bonded. In present day he wouldn't doubt Funk like this)

"Great, old man. Maybe talking to young people should be more your style than pitting them against drugged up dogs like this." Funk did not care. Monologues were only best when he was saying them. The dog whipped this way and that to get the Nemesis off, but it only made him hang on harder. It was a vicious cycle. The Nemesis' heart thudded against the dog's head. He hadn't had such a thrill in a long time. It really made him want to kill this dog.
"Sure thing. I want a prize from this thing first though." He wouldn't admit to being grateful when the dog let go of Lucistic without tearing through him too much. His first goal was achieved. Now at least he could tell Sen and Glow he tried. The dog spun in circles, blood spilling on the cheap marble when Funk got an idea. It was dumb, but hey, maybe it'd work. The dog's only mission was getting Funk off of it, mind hazy to where it barely knew where it was. Slipping in it's own blood, Funk held down harder as the dog took off again. And ran right into a wall, knocking itself out. Though it also threw Funk off and into the wall, the bengal landing to the side with a thud.
The silence in the house was palpable. Funk could barely see, not even trying to stand. Any attempts would end with him right back on the ground. Who would have thought he would get dizzy. Somewhere along the line, the spectators started to leave. The more adamant ones begging the dog to wake up. Funk finally pulled himself up onto his paws, well three of them. Something squishy was on one of his front paws, he didn't wanna crush it. Standing next to Lucistic, he lifted that one paw. Claws unfurling to reveal a crushed eyeball. He must have torn it out in the fight. With a sigh, he flicked his wrist, sending the remnants onto the floor.
"I'll be expecting some undying loyalty by the time we get back home."
Lucistic stared ahead as Funk gripped onto the dog, his conscious blacking out briefly before steadying again. This time Funk E'tan was walking towards him with the prize in his paw. "Promise," He agreed, "I'll be as loyal to you as a dog."
(I'll time skip, let me know if you have any objections to it lol)
Time Skip - Present Day
Carry a sparrow Lucistic walked over to Funk E'tan and placed it down in front of him, "In case you're hungry." He was later than usual. Typically the moment the sun began to set he was already heading into league territory. Now the moon had been out for sometime now and he only just arrived, he was surprising punctual unlike his sister. "Bloodystar asked me to spy for him, but my loyalties lie with you so naturally I've mainly been watching him. He has mom stuck in SunClan, only she's literally stuck. Something's wrong with his amulet, it won't let her leave. But y'know, after banging it into a wall there's really no other professional skills I could offer to fix it."
