(get yo violent juice and give me pi conts please)
Funk licked a paw and ran it over his face, casually grooming as the subject let out another useless yell. They were overly frustrating, more so in their vain attempts to get help. Like there was any around here. They kept talking about some sort of 'Leeroy' and 'Shuu' but Funk had found himself growing tired of it. Cleaning a strip of cloth, he took it and approached the subject. Who began to squirm, ask him what he wanted.
"What I want? The question is more what you wanted after you double crossed my boys." The Nemesis talked in a sing-song voice, he always did with subjects. Honey and sugared words were scarier, after all. They babbled on, about how they didn't mean to and the like, but their words got disjointed as Funk tightened the gag. Their limbs were held down by other ropes or chains. Anything Funk could find. The gag forced their mouth open, but all that came out was garbled words and spit.
"You're so much prettier now, dear." Funk's tail smoothed over the puffing fur on their back. The light in the abandoned lab was awful, but it made up in so many ways. All sorts of tools and restraints were stored. Bottles filled with mysterious liquids and pills were begging to be tested. If there was still electricity, bright white lights would of let Funk have a better look. But he was fine as he was. His side table sat in front of the subject, covered with tools consisting of hooks and hammers and knives and some just long pieces of wood. And that was what was on top.
The red bengal's ears pinned back when he heard something outside. The lab was in a fairly remote part of town, not commonly visited. But of course the idiots screams brought someone running over. "Yes?" was all he asked, tapping one of the subject's limbs and watching it jump.
"Nothing," Lucistic said, but moved into the room anyways looking interested in Funk's work, "Just was wondering who was making who scream, thought mayyyybe the tormentor could have some fun with me, but I'll wait my turn. Can I have a turn?" He asked with a pretty please smile that just didn't work for him and looked more menacing than anything. Lucistic liked being used as a test subject way more than actually tormenting someone, which was too bad because he was actually great at obtaining confessions fast and making anything hurt slow and more painful over time. His father was well known for being capable of never touching a cat, but sending enough fear to permanently damage a cats psyche and his mom was known for being particularly vicious, but enough of a moral code to never touch a kit. Lucistic was a combination of both, but wasted potential who rather punishment district members experiment new torture techniques on him than actually using his skill to help the league.

"Ah, birds of a feather really do flock together," Funk muttered with a smile, not even bothering to try and keep Lucistic out of his lab. He shouldn't be surprised. Of course, the resident masochist heard the screams and wanted to be the one screaming. He didn't mind tho, ushering Luc in further in case he had any doubts. Funk never bothered Luc too much to be a test subject, especially now that he was seeing Glowstar. Patting the other on the back with his tail, he used a claw to pull down his face mask. "Of course. Though you know I can't scar you 'less Glow or Sen chew me out." He said with a wink as he stood and walked around his captive.
"Introduce yourself, dear. We mustn't be rude." Funk threatened, but when a few moments of silence passed, he let out a sigh and sliced open the subject's back thigh. They let out a strangled cry as the Nemesis finished his pace around them. "Yes, this is MMMPHGHM and they double-crossed one of my boys." Funk pressed himself against the subject's side, a garbled purr as he pulled at their cheek with a free claw, "Threatened to start spilling secrets to the other clans, didn't you?" He let go, flicking the blood off his paw before joining Lucistic again. "It's more my business so I didn't feel like bothering Innocentia with this. I know this isn't your field but indulge me some. If you were tied here, what would you want done to you?" Funk gestured around, he had many things the Punishment district didn't. Maybe something here would catch Luc's attention.
"Yeah, that leaves out the most fun tortures," Lucistic pointed out. His head turned to look at the tormented tom and laughed at Funk's introduction, "What a unique name and am I one of the boys?" he grinned, a slight German accent peeking through, it came and went with Lucistic though it seemed the more relaxed he was the easier it came out, which likely meant it took effort to hide. He got it from his dad. His ears perked up at Funk's question, "Well when Eshek tortured me she usually liked to blind me so I'd focus on my other senses, I always thought that was clever. And then she'd slowly trace her claw or a sharp stone down the center of me and at the end give a harsh tug," He remembered fondly, "Personally, I always like to feel pain slow and not too painful at first. Too many torturers just torment too hard right away and then any other thing they do to hurt me doesn't matter because I have a bigger pain to concentrate on. Like if you want to mentally destroy someone that's the way to go I guess, but definitely not if you want answers or to please a masochist."

If Lucistic was anyone else, Funk wouldn't mind giving him the scars. They were like concrete memories, the kind he got to relish in whenever he saw them again. But he really didn't need more of the Eeries pissed at him. "If by that, you mean he double-crossed you by getting to try this little spreader before you. Then yes, he did." That wasn't as serious to Funk as, say, trying to disrupt his drug ring. He returned to the subject, turning the corner to the back and gently cranking the restraints further back. Pulling on their limbs just enough to keep them uncomfortable. The turning of the cogs stopped when Luc started talking again.
ah. right.
Funk wondered if Lucistic would have the tact to not mention his dead mate. Maybe he should have known better. Over the last few moons, he had become more numb to the name. It didn't hurt as much. Still, hearing it again, now when he was supposed to be enjoying himself, bugged him. A part of him felt the need to prove he was better than her, especially after always taking the back seat in that relationship. A petty notion, but one that was surely bad for the captive. "Hmm... that was her style, huh." The Nemesis mused to himself before appearing in front of the captive again. "Though I don't need any answers and I take it you're not a masochist. So this will do. Though I don't play the same song twice. So don't come in with expectations when it's your time, Luc." A bad move. He had to be more creative for this session.
Funk shrugged, walking to the side and grabbing the first tool he used. A pair of forceps. "My present should be pumping through your system by now. Blood flow will increase and your senses will be elevated. Along with another 'special surprise' that you will find out later. So..." Funk turned to look at Lucistic, "Are you going to participate or just watch?"
“Eh, I’m just gonna watch,” Lucistic shrugged as though Funk were a channel on TV he flipped to because nothing else was on. He sat down and licked at his paws, his claws were noticeably painted green. Truthfully, he had no idea where Funk E’tan was going with this, but it looked complicated and therefore boring because he had to pay attention. It reminded him of when he was a test experiment in Toxicity, Craven always had the weirdest tools and ideas to torture him with, he never knew what to expect. But sometimes they got too needlessly complex that he wished she would just bash him with a rock.

"Your loss." Funk shrugged like he didn't care despite caring immensely. The first thing he did was a similar move to Eshek's, grabbing a stip of torn cloth. A garish design now decorated the cat's eyes, and the Nemesis' only words were telling him, "Relax." He then proceeded to run around his lab, making a lot of cluttering noises but coming back with four different containers of water. Each was short enough to hold a decent amount of water and still allow Funk to slip them each underneath the cat's paws. Of course, the feeling was uncomfortable enough. But the water was warm and relaxing and they had no way of knowing how dark and murky it was. Truthfully, he scooped it up from a puddle not far off.
He let the captive sit there for some time before going and grabbing a closed container. It wasn't see-through, simply a surprise for all involved as Funk lifted one of the front paws out of the water and rested it on a nearby brick. Funk started with a slow and circular movement, pressing into the skin deeply. He heard a few hisses from the tom, but didn't flinch. When he wasn't massaging the leg, he dragged the tom's claws over the brick a few times, buffing them down. The sensations were unpleasant, but not awful. He did this a few times so when the tom felt one of his claws pressed tightly, he could have thought nothing of it. Least till Funk yanked on the claw hard and it came out without much resistance. The culprit let out the most awful shriek, squirming in the restraints but not able to move. Their whole body wracked in pain, Funk's only response was a simple chuckle. He got up and approached Lucistic and the closed container, setting the loose claw down before pulling the container closer to him. "Here, a keepsake."
Lucistic rolled his eyes and watched as once again another league cat went overboard to torture someone. He bit the side of his lip, not wanting to contradict himself and actually become interested, but what were the bowls of water for. Was there a flesh eating virus inside? Or maybe he would get electrocuted. Predictable. Still he was kind of hooked at this point to see it through and sat back down to watch. Curiously he observed each of Funks steps like a dog curiously watching its master. His radioactive green eyes gleamed a reddish coppery tone as Funk tore the claw clean out of the cats paw. His tail curled in and outwards and he couldn't help, but exclaim a, "WHOA!" Watching in excitement as the cat squirmed about. When Funk got up he wondered if he was mad at him for initially being bored, but instead handed him a small container. He looked up from the container and back at Funk, "You're so cool! Plus I've been looking for a new earring so this will do great," Lucistic said admiringly before adding more politely, "Thank-you. And you don't have to torment me, no nemesis ever has, especially after Duriel E'tan..."

Funk was overly dramatic. That was his way. He wasn't immune to the bored look on Lucistic's face though. "I get it, it's a bit much." Slowly, he began to open the container, swiping away at the plastic. "There are so many different ways to torture someone. At the core though, my favorite is to take something pleasurable and twist it. That's where the manicure comes in. Just be sure to clean that off real good before sticking it in." Finally, he opened the container. The tear was accompanied by a rotten smell. It was filled with a clear water, though the squirming black creature inside was bound to squick anyone out. "You're welcome. And very well. Though if you ever feel like testing a new concoction, I'm always here." The Nemesis said with a smile, taking the container with the leech back to the captive.
They had begun to calm down, the pain beginning to edge off. Quiet whimpers escaped them as Funk dumped the water and the leech into the bowl beneath the cat. "You sorry, dear?" He didn't even touch them, but just hearing his voice by their side made them jump and attempt to squirm away. A string of yes's followed. not that it stopped Funk from guiding their foot back into the water. They briefly calmed, but the leech must have brushed up against them, causing them to yelp and pull their paw out. Funk let out a chuckle. "It's just a fish, love."
"That's no fish."
His light touches stiffened, and Funk ran his claws lightly through their pelt. "Just. A. Fish. Do I make myself clear?" The next yes was quieter but accepted. Though they still kept their paw out of the water. Oh well, they wouldn't be able to avoid it for long. For Lucistic, his next set will be simpler.
“I’m always up for testing new things, when I was a kit I tested all kinds of medicine and poisons. It’s how I got into the passion. Plus that’s way better than being tested on to get my claws removed, like a kittypet,” Lucistic explained and set down the claw for now and walked over to Funk E’tan, “Did you have something in mind?”

Funk made the mental note to test things the second time around on Lucistic. Or at least the lighter stuff. Things he didn't feel like sticking in himself or his prized rats. Things for the worse of the worse. He tilted his head to the side as Lucistic came up. His recent stuff might have bee a little too toxic for him. Glancing from Lucistic to the captive, he got an idea. "I have a few things that you might like. I'll even let you pick what our friend tests here. Sound good?"

(i forgot where i was going with this so...)
It didn't take Funk as long to collect the pieces as last time. Ignoring the murmuring and the plastic shifting along the ground as the prisoner squirmed about, the bengal placed 4 different bottles in front of Lucistic. At first, they were your average water bottles, caps screwed on and labels torn off. "For now, I'll let you judge on appearance. If you want to know the specifics, I'm willing. But I'm curious what you would pick without knowing what they are."
The first bottle wasn't very full, the liquid in it clear. Shaking it showed the liquid moving slowly, thick enough to be considered a runny jelly. The bottle covered in the dried stuff was sticky, and it didn't have a particularly strong smell one way or the other.
The second bottle was full of an orange fluid that did not look healthy. Almost too orange. It bubbled at the top, and flipping the bottle showed the bubbles moving slowly through the fluid. The bottle didn't look stained at all and unscrewing the cap brought out a strong earthy smell.
The third bottle was bright and minty, light green and clear fluid filling it halfway. It smelled overly clean, and you had an idea of what it could be. However, when you shook it, the carbonation in it was far louder than you expected.
The fourth bottle felt empty, but the inside was covered in a black dried goo. If you didn't know any better, you could swear it jumped a little when Funk put it down. A few holes had been formed at the top of the bottle, but even looking inside only showed black. It didn't even look like there was liquid in it.
Lucistic looked over each bottle carefully, his ear twitched slightly as he peered into each bottle and looked back at Funk, "I think... All of them! Yeah. All. Man, I wish I could have one, if I had to choose it would be that last one. For myself. But Gravel probably wouldn't want me too, it looks like it could get me stuck in the Shaman den and I only like to get stuck in the shaman den if the torture was worth the pain of lounging around," He explained. Lucistic's tail wagged back and forth in a slow rhythm before settling peacefully around himself as he sat down to watch.
"You want to get lunch after?" Lucistic offered. It was almost amazing how different he was compared to his sister, he was much more visibly loyal, happy, and compliant. That and he actually genuinely wanted to hangout with Funk because he found him interesting. Not for power or any self interest, he seemed to have a purer heart than most in the league.

A whimper was heard behind them at the mention of using all of them. Funk was a little surprised, mouth opening slightly as he looked to each bottle. "Great gods, no one has chosen the entire assortment." Frankly, all of these would overwhelm the captive and kill them. If the placebo effect didn't get them first. But the muted sounds of panic behind them made his heart leap. "I love the way you think." The nemesis bounced on his toes, dragging each bottle closer to the captive in a spinning mess.
He settled down, gently taking the caps off of each bottle. "Well, you can always mix it with something else. Little poison, little roughing up. It's whatever you want. Course, I'd hate to get on Gravel's bad side. So you might have to live vicariously through our buddy here." They had pulled which way and that, trying to escape Funk. But he wasn't gonna give them much of a choice. It took a lot of finagling, but he managed to fill a cut with a mix of all four. Even some of the black goo came out, leaving him with a dark-colored liquid. The next thing heard was the pulling at the chain, as one of the back paws of the captive was lifted up. Now taut, it couldn't be jerked away as he cut them slowly before feeding the mix into their bloodstream. It left quite a mess on the floor, sticking to his paw pads.
"Of course." The Nemesis was always curious, and Lucistic was so different. It made him want his pick his brain some. And to find out what pain he liked best so he never had to hear that name again. "It'll take that a minute to work if you want to go get something now."
When Funk had turned around Lucistic looked like an abused dog on the ground staring up at the victim with big radioactive green eyes, "Ugh, he's so lucky. I bet it burns and feels like its eating away at you. I've tried tormenting myself before and it's just not anywhere close as fun as it is when someone tortures me. I'm pretty sure it's my size, if I was a smaller cat I bet more cats would want to take me prisoners, but with my size I look like too much effort to drag. So unfair, if only I had Innocentia's genetics," Lucistic said thoughtfully before rising to his paws, "We can go out into the city and eat or right behind this place are some dumpsters, I'm sure they've gotta have some food in it somewhere. Once I got trapped in one and that was scary, it's slowly developing into a fear of mine, but Senescence got me last time. I think I'm less scared of being trapped in the dumpster and more afraid of those monsters that come and PICK THEM UP into the AIR and then eat everything inside. Like I don't want to be that things meal."

Funk couldn't help the chuckle bubbling from his throat. Lucistic really was selling his abandoned puppy image, it almost made him want to give him what he clearly wanted. Though watching him squirm there, completely unharmed, was it's own brand of fun. "That's likely. It's hard to drag someone as large as you." Funk considered himself decently tall, though most of the Eeries stood even taller, "You need someone to knock you down, say, right about here." He mused, tapping the side of Lucistic's knee before walking by. Looking back, he saw the captive struggling not to make a sound. "I'm open. But the dump truck came by yesterday, so you don't need to worry about it for a few days."
"It was so much easier when I was a kidnapped as a kitten, I had it lucky back then. Experimented on every single day, she'd always come up with something new too and like, I know I'll never get those days back again. Especially since she turned good so even if I die I can't hope for that again. Somethings in life can be so unfair," Lucistic complained as he walked outside into the light. He leisurely pounced up onto the side of the dumpster bin before leaping in completely, "Nothing really good in here, I guess since the dump truck came recently," He said hopping back out next to Funk E'tan.
"You two are bold. Aren't you scared of the Hound scouting out this territory soon?" A kittypet asked. He was on the opposite side of the empty street from where they were. He was a red somali with a bright sky blue collar.

Funk listened to Lucistic like he listened to most of his children, nodding and hmming every now and again to give the appearance he really cared. He'd know all the gory details in a bit, like who this she was and how she turned good. Who really could experiment like that and then find it in themselves to stop? If he had such a willing subject, you'd never see Funk outside of his lab. Even the thought sent tingles down his spine. A shame Lucistic was who he was, unable to be touched with anything sharp without his mate, his sister and his mother all jumping down the throat of the holder. He didn't give the captive a second glance.
"I did just say they were here yesterday." Funk came back with him outside and a deadpan expression on his face. "Well then, let's go to--" He started but stopped as they were interrupted. Sure, Funk knew these streets fairly well, but not enough to know exactly what this Hound was the kittypet spoke of. "I can't say we're the bold ones when you have no idea who you're speaking too. Still, doesn't sound like anything we can't handle."
Lucistic looked at Funk E'tan with interest, he never felt he was that important to be like, you don't know who I am, but it was nice to know he was at that level now. Really the only time he felt super powerful was standing next to his sister or Mittens, the two most powerful she-cats he knew followed by his mate. But now he also felt powerful standing next to the nemesis He scratched at his ear a bit like a dog while listening to the kittypet.
"Doubtful, rumor has it that this guy has got a pack of dogs on his side. Plus whoever you are I doubt you can teleport from there to here when all I need to do is backup into the alley to go back into my home. It's kind of a fortress," The tom purred.
"Oh, I can talk to dogs," Lucistic said, to try and be helpful and use this new status of being known to the best of his ability.
