(it cool. i'll just add one more section to this past part)
Black crept into the corners of his vision. Funk hadn't fully recovered from the spinning. Cats were fleeing out of the house, their only chance before the League would surely raid it. He hoped the dogs would stay unconscious until Sen got here. "Cool. Can you stand up though?" His paws shuffled underneath him, trying to keep his balance. "'Cause it will take forever to drag you back myself." He sighed suddenly. "I'll just call Senescence up. She can kill the dogs and drag you back. Get back to me when you wanna... schedule a session." Luc could have caught the faintest hint of a smile on his face before Funk walked off.
Present Day
Sleepless nights had been Funk's forte lately. When it rained, it poured truly. Glow gone, Fox depressed, recovering from the fight with Spring and Summer, and this darn book. He was so close. So if cats could have bags under their eyes, he would. Instead, his green eyes had lost most of their shine, his coat only mildly kept thanks to Sean's continuous treatments. Funk let out a sigh of relief when Lucistic showed up, letting himself tear away from his work to eat. "Thank you, Luc." Funk purred before taking a bite out of the sparrow. He was a cat of his word, and Funk was grateful to have him around.
Funk listened to the report, trying to remain indifferent as a part of the sparrow melted in his mouth. Swallowing, he let out a sigh. "Gee, this whole amulet thing is such a pain." It seemed the damn thing could do anything. "We're not gonna be able to get Glow out without either getting that amulet away from him or disabling it somehow." Sun God was dead, and so was Selene. So they couldn't just ask or have Selene make a counter amulet. With how this Enchanted Forest was going, there had to be someone with a nullification ability. But they could not be born, or be unwilling to help. "Hmm... I wonder if there's a way we could... make our own amulet to nullify that one. Sounds like a pipe dream. I'd rather just kill Bloody nine times and be done with it."
"Someone could easily take it. The amulet only appears to people who are worthy, Bloody told some gullible apprentice to find the amulet. Then I just snatched it from him and gave it to Bloody. It was pretty friggin' hilarious up until now. I underestimated his desperation to have mom to himself. But point is, if someone with a truer heart takes that amulet it'll reward them better thanks to moms enchantment," He said, but couldn't even bring a grin to his face. Future step dad looked like he'd been dragged through a couple of thorn bushes. If he had done a better job looking after his mom and not playing with Bloody so much he could have done better for the nemesis.
"I'm honestly sorry, I shouldn't have played around so much with Bloody. I promise that if you did want to take it out on me I wouldn't enjoy it," He said his tail lowering to the floor. He let his nemesis down, but added, "I could kidnap Duskslayer, I hear he has nullification properties, I bet his kits might too. If we get enough blood we can experiment how strong it is."

Even if he was grateful, the face paw of Funk hitting himself as Lucistic told him what happened could be heard around the League. The Nemesis shouldn't be surprised, just more... disappointed it was true. And it must have been, so he shook his head with a sigh. "That sounds exactly like something Glow would enchant it with. But where are we supposed to find someone like that?" If she said something like a wicked heart or good looks, Funk could do it. A truer heart though... was gonna be a lot harder.
"And you say that, but I find it hard to believe. So here's your punishment for now till I can wrangle some kits up for you to watch." Funk said with a grin before lifting his paw up in front of Lucistic's face. He held it there for a moment before he flipped his paw over, flicking the other on the nose with the back of one of his claws. "Dusky, huh? It's a possibility. But there are like 50 kits in Sunclan. Who knows if we get the right ones. Or if you could even bring them back. We might need help going down that avenue." But Funk already knew what that meant. And he could already feel himself regretting it. "They were born in the Regime, right? Meaning we should get in contact with Shule. Besides, didn't they have their own weird magic? Funk would have to ask.
Lucistic smiled warily at Funk E'tan at the mention of kits. Misty's had to be ready to be weaned off of milk soon, which was not in his favor. Lucistic let out a huff at being flicked in the nose, rubbing his paw against his snout. "Probably, it's impossible to know if she'd agree. On one paw she hates elements, on the other paw she loves her family so the idea of taking their blood probably isn't appealing," He reasoned.
