(These are Windchaser's and Illuminatedpath's third litter after their second litter was killed by Foxstar)
Windchaser was heavily pregnant as she walked across the camp, her green eyes dull with grief. The loss of her last litter had caused her great sorrow. With the paranoia she was undergoing, she had decided to remain in camp during her entire recent pregnancy. She had not stepped foot outside of camp since she had found out she was expecting again with the fear that she may lose these kits to some crazy maniac again. The ginger and white queen was heading for the nursery for a nap. Having a pregnancy back to back, including the grief, was taking a toll on her. Before she reached the nursery, she halted. A pain started in her stomach and her knees buckled. She lowered herself to the ground as softly as she could. "The kits! The kits are coming!" She cried, hoping Illuminatedpath was back from his patrol so he could see the birth of his kits.

Lilacpaw bounded over immediately, "They are!?" She exclaimed and quick as lightning strikes bolted out and collected a firm stick and some warm wet moss. She lied them down by her mother before running off, stealing some poor kits mossball and rolled it over towards her mom. Taking a part the pieces of the mossball to create a soft pillow for her mother to rest her head on, "Don't worry mom, I'm here for you," She promised, knowing how hard it was for her losing her last litter.
Illuminatedpath had just returned with his patrol when his ears pricked up and he rushed over to her immediately. "They're coming?" He repeated, then realized he had nothing to offer to help while Lilacpaw came over with some moss. "Good work Lilacpaw, I'm going to go fetch Brakewings," Illuminatedpath said before darting off to go find the medicine cat. "Brakewings!" He called.
Windchaser clenched her jaws as another contraction rippled through her body. She looked up with her bold green eyes as one of her sweet daughters brought her objects to make her feel more comfortable. She couldnt help but feel pride in how intelligent her daughters were. She wouldn't be surprised if Lilacpaw ended up being medicine cat one day. "Thank you, dear" she forced out through the pain. Her eyes met Illuminatedpath as he bounded away toward Brakewings' den and relief flooded over her. She was glad he made it to see their third litter and more than relieved she had gone into labor in the camp this time.

Outside, the voices of DayClan cats could be heard murmmering as an unexpected visitor showed up in DayClan's camp. Of course Littlestar had no idea that Windchaser was giving birth in the nursery, she had only come to invite Strik to her tying the knot ceremony in person. Since she would be one of her attendants helping Littlestar get ready if she accepted. While Littlestar didn't normally venture into DayClan's territory(unlike many of the other SunClan cats), so her arrival had caused quite the stir as cats ran to inform their leader of their guest.
Buttercup, one of Windchaser's daughters, stood outside the nursery with her fur bristling as Littlestar made her way into Dayclan camp. This was definitely not the stress her mother needed right now. If she wasnt just a mere apprentice, she would ask Littlestar to leave. Unfortunately, it was none of her business and the reason for Littlestar being here could be important. Her mother was just going to have to suck it up.
Windchaser was breathing steadily as the contractions forced out the first kit. She heard the surprised gasps and whisperings of the cats outside the nursery but it didn't strike her as something to worry about until, upon her breathing, she caught a strong whiff of Sunclan. Suddenly, her heart raced and she became nearly hysterical as the first cat that came to mind was Foxbane. Windchaser's eyes widened, anger and stress rising inside her with the urge to protect her litter. This wasnt what she needed right now. Flash backs of Foxbane murdering her last litter caused her to panic and she slid out her claws, baring her teeth. "Whose out there!?" She demanded anyone near her to tell her.

Without waiting for long, Littlestar smiled and walked over to where Buttercup stood. She flicked her ear in recognition "Will you go and inform st...Glowstar that I am here?" she purred lightly. SHe wasn't to afraid of being attacked her, DayClan was SunClan's allies, and she was wearing the feather that Stik had given her that gave her free passage to travel across DayClan as she pleased. She had given it to her when she was still young, a sign of friendship and trust that had formed between the two opposing leaders. However, the sound of panting and screams within "It sounds like DayClan will be having some new kits running around soon enough" she murmmered, even though she couldn't make out the specifics of what was being said. "I don't wish to disturb them, so I will go wait near Strik's den. I am sure that your medicine cat can handle things, however If you need any help during the birthing, I am more that willing to offer my assistance" she turned, padding away from the nursery. Unlike most leaders, she was also trained in the art of healing, having helped many queens give birth in the past. Having both Foxbane and Mountainsound to learn from did have its advantages, for not many cats could match their medical knowledge.
Buttercup swallowed nervously but gave a nod of acknowledgement and dashed away in search of Glowstar.
In the meantime, Windchaser was in full panic. The medicine cat and apprentice still was not back, yet, and was unsure if she could deliver her kits without them. Although one had already been born, her new stress levels were making it much more difficult. Windchaser began to experience more pain and it felt as if one of the kits were stuck. She began to yowl in pain, forgetting the question she had demanded the others to answer.
As the moments ticked by, Littlestar's paws itched to go to the DayClan nursery and provide whomever was giving birth with some relief. The sounds of agony gripped her heart, the scent of fear stung her nose. Yet it was what she couldn't hear that was the most disturbing. The soothing tone of a medicine cat's voice to ease the queen was missing, and even after minutes began to pass there were no new sounds of kits squealing. Her ears strained, trying to make out what was going on. Yet she didn't approach. Even though she wished to help, she had not been invited to do so. Unlike most medicine cats, she was both leader and healer. Every action she took would be scrutinized intensely.
Foxtrotter was in the camp. The cries of agony making the young tom pace. Something wasnt right and he wasnt sure where the medicine cats were. His green and honey colored eyes turned to Littlestar. Didn't the leader of Sunclan also the medicine cat? He padded over to her and dipped his head politely. "I know it probably isnt any of my business but...is there anything you can do to help her?" He asked, fearful that something was wrong. Even if Littlestar was the cause of the problem, perhaps she could also be the solution.
"Oh hey Littlestar," Glowstar said, passing by her to drop the fluffiest rabbit Littlestar would have ever seen in her life into the freshkill pile, "What can I do you for?" She asked, her ear twitching just slightly at the pained sounds Windchaser was making, "Um. Is she okay?"
"She's in labor," Lilacpaw hissed.
"Aw dammit. Alright, Brakewings. BRAKEWINGS!" She screamed before looking at Littlestar, "He's um. He has a bad teacher so he's not very professional," Glowstar explained, but also didn't go into detail that she knew Brakewings was being trained by a Dark Forest medicine cat who seemed to continuously give him bad advice and was pretty sure she would teach him how to kill this litter. But they, when it's all you got, it's all you got.
The medicine cat was headed back to camp with a mouthful of suspicious berries when he heard his name. Something was wrong. His eyes widened as the ginger tom hustled back and into the camp, setting down the berries and let them roll across the ground as his attention immediately focused on Windchaser. "Everyone clear some space," he ordered, dropping down at her side. He checked the first kit, licking it vigorously and checking it could breathe before nudging it toward Windchaser's muzzle.
"Here's your first kit, say hello," he mewed encouragingly, "and get ready for the next one."
Windchaser looked lovingly at her kit but before she could say anything, there was another convulsion and she let out a cry. "I know theres Sunclan hear" she mewed, her voice tight with pain. "Who is it?"

Littlestar looked to the nursery "Well if you want me to, I could go and..." but before she could speak here came DayClan's medicine cat right on cue. It seemed rude to cut in now their healer was here.
"Nobody important," he assured her, "you're safe. The whole clan is here to protect you this time." He wouldn't let anyone touch her kits. He didn't even look up to search for Littlestar or check her scent, too busy with the scene in front of him. "How are you feeling? Do you feel faint?"
She began to relax a little at Brakewing's response though a part of her was still rather tense. She couldnt bear losing another litter to Foxbane. She hook her head at the medicine cat's question. "No but I'm having a little trouble..." she trailed off as another contraction pulsed through her body and she groaned. "Pushing." She finished. She was worried one of the kits had gotten stuck in her state of panic.
