Ravensara looked down at Silverkit, surprised by the question. "Whenever we find kits in need. It's not everyday, but it does happen." This would just be her first time bringing some home. This group of kits was beginning to unnerve her. They seemed very intelligent and definitely suspicious. Sure, WinterClan hated outsiders but they would never turn kits away. But this group seemed to be reading the situation as a threat. The young warrior flicked her tail in consideration, until Earlybloom called her name.
The white and gray Witch was leaving camp when she ran into Ravensara and a group of kits, the surprise in her eyes melted to one of concern and she called Ravensara's name and bounded over. "Kits! Where did they come from? Are they okay?"
Banekit jumped when another cat approached, slowing slightly as the cat spoke to Ravensara. She smelled weird, like plants instead of what Ravensara smelled like. Who was she?
Dragon kit looked up from the snow just in time to stop before running into Banekit as he slowed down, irritation stirred in him until he saw Earlybloom and he understood his brothers reaction. "Who is she?" It was the first time he had spoken, and still he didn't make eye contact with either of the Winterclan she-cats, the newcomer unlike Ravensara had a more powerful air flowing around her, the scent of plants weaving through it. He wasn't sure he liked this, how many new faces would he be forced to encounter, and how many of them would react negatively to the arrival of him and his siblings.

Ravensara heard Dragonkit's question and looked down at him kindly, "this is Earlybloom, the Witch of WinterClan. She takes care of us when we get sick or hurt." The she-cat looked back to Earlybloom with and let out a sigh, "I found them outside the territory and brought them here, the scent of their mother was entirely to stale. I made sure to leave our scent in case she does come back. Leaning in, she added in a whisper, "I think they are orphans."
The white and gray cat let out a small gasp and stared down at the group of kits, tail twitching, "well they are safe now. I'll check them all over before we take them to Stormyblizzard or Wintrystar."

Were they safe? How could they trust these strangers? Corpsekit looked up upon the new cat's face, fear creeping in to her posture. She wouldn't be taken by surprise, they're mother had said to watch out for each other, and she'd do just that!
Silverkit felt entirely to uncomfortable in the situation, his eyes flicked from cat to cat, sibling to sibling, as he shifted uneasily on his paws. He didn't know what Ravensara had whispered to Earlybloom to make her gasp like that. But something about the interaction pained him and he puffed out his chest in compensation and decided to take the lead as it seemed neither of his siblings would be doing so. "We're fine." He finally spoke up as he sent her as steely eyed a look as a cat as young as himself could. "Some food and we'll be good as new."

Earlybloom looked at Silverkit with kind and sympathetic eyes, seeing and trying to ignore the steely look in Silverkit and fear in the other kits. They were older than most kits brought in, perhaps this would prove a difficult adjustment. "Well," she meowed after a moment, "let's get you fed! Do you like squirrel? I believe Asterblossom just brought in one."
Ravensara relaxed, happy to have the kits admitted into camp and the promise of food would surely help them relax. "Yes, come along kits. Let's get you settled in!"
"Cool," Banekit meowed, this whole situation was exciting to him, unlike his other siblings. So he bounded forward with Earlybloom as Ravensara hung back with the other kits.
Dragonkit fell back once again, this time with ears perked to listen to Ravensara and the others as they spoke. He still wasn't sure about all of this, but at the mention of food his stomach let out a rumble and so he followed the witch and soldier to their home. He placed his paws in the prints left by those in front of him for a short distance, knowing the snow wouldnt be as deep in those places, he veered from the path only once, a bad decision on his part as he felt himself sink instantly into a deep mound of white fluff. "Wah!" His shocked cry was muffled as snow filled his open mouth.
Silverkit paused, whipping his head around to check on his brother as worry burst forth inside him only to find the kit had fallen into a deep snow pile. Hurrying over to the edge of the path he tried to reach out a paw to grasp his brother but couldn't quite reach him and unsure if his brother had fallen into a hole or had twisted a paw he started panicking lightly. What if Dragonkit couldn't get out on his own! "Don't just stand there help him." He turned to the adult cats with wide eyes, form shivering as he danced on his paws anxiously.

Ravensara was closer and the she-cat lunged forward and went shoulder deep in the snow bank to grab the kit, Earlybloom joined her moments later and as Ravensara set the soggy kit down Earlybloom opened his jaws and turned him on his side, patting his back firmly and looking up at Silverkit, "be calm, little one. He's safe, I'm making sure he can breathe after the snow. Ravensara is going to warm him back up." As she said it the warrior was already setting to work, licking Dragonkit's fur the wrong way in rapid strokes, worry clear on her face. Snow was an annoyance to warriors, but potentially deadly to kits as young as this litter.
Dragonkit coughed as he was lifted from the snow, why did it have to be him, of course he didn't want his siblings to nearly die in the snow but still, why him. As his airway cleared he let his eyes flutter open, the feeling of Ravensaras tongue on his fur becoming more apparent. "S-stop." It was a pitiful sound, his word stuttered as his teeth chattered from the cold, but he didn't want to be touched. "I s-said st-stop!" He yelled again, much louder, using the last bit of his strength to squirm away from the she-cats to Silverkits side.
Hearing Dragonkit's vehement demand the silver colored kit puffed up like an angry hedgehog and took a step forward and ahead of his brother. Making it clear that if his brother didn't want their help he was going to make a nuisance of himself to make sure Dragonkit's wishes were followed. Though Silverkit had already proven himself to be a pain with his questions and objections, not to mention constant suspicions. He did not consider himself a dominant cat, and among his siblings he didn't think himself the boldest. But that might be due to his own introvert preference in socialization making him rather clueless. "Are you alright?" He asked Dragonkit, sparing his brother a look while keeping a suspicious eye on the older cats.
He was shaking, still partly wet from the snow that clung to his fur, but he nodded to Silverkit despite that. "I'm okay." His eyes darted toward the Winterclan cats, making sure they didn't come near him, even if they were only trying to help he did want it. "Thank you, Silverkit. Can we go now?" His voice was quiet but he wanted to go, not to Winterclan, but anywhere else.

[[ i'm really sorry for my disappearance, things have been turbulent for me, but I'm back <3 ]]
Banekit watched the scene with utter calm, eyes watching carefully. When Ravensara jumped away, listening to Dragonkit's outcry, Banekit rolled his eyes and looked at his siblings with distaste, "hey," he meowed, padding up clumsily to his brothers, "they aren't the bad guys."
Ravensara exchanged an uncertain look with Earlybloom, these kits were different. Usually kits were young enough to be integrated into the clan without incident, but this litter seemed full of suspicion, and distrust. Would Wintrystar tolerate such behavior? "Yes," Earlybloom meowed, "let's go. WinterClan awaits."
