Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Peachstar closed his eyes and exhaled deeply. This is going to be harder than I thought. "No, Thane," he murmured, eyes still closed. When he opened them, they were filled with mirth, and yet bore traces of an underlying fear. "Not someone else. I could never...do that to you Thane. But, uh...have you noticed anything odd about the way SpringClan's dispersed around the clearing right now?" he asked, jerking his head over to the nearby Splashfoam, who was sitting awkwardly between a few SunClan warriors. He noticed and grunted in a similarly awkward manner.
"...Like I said, something's come up, and joining SpringClan maybe isn't the best idea right now. If you value your, um, life, anyway. B-but, when we we're f-free again, you'll be the first to know!!!" he said, with a sheepish smile.
Thane looked over at Splashfoam surrounded by SunClan warriors. God. SpringClan just couldn't help, but get cozy with literally anyone. They were so awkwardly close to those cats. He shivered, this is the clan he wanted to join. This flowery, cute, emotionally close and caring clan. Maybe Peachstar had a point, maybe he wasn't ready to join a clan that got so comfortably close to other cats. He would probably scare off anyone who tried to get near him. But then he caught valuing his life and being free and he looked around once more realizing the actual situation. He took a breath, he knew what usually happened. His mom did it enough to other clans, he did it enough to other clans. He knew his mom always went for the leader first to execute, to make an example. That would be a long death for a new leader with 9 lives. Thane curled around Peachstar, "I'm not leaving you. I've taken over enough clans to know how this works out, but if I'm with you I can protect you. Let me be your tenth life."
(You know what I changed my mind. I am going to have this be where Frostcloud already went through her lives ceremony. It'd be funnier for her to interact with literally everyone else if she had.)
SummerClan
Froststar had watched Sean approach Burningstar and her with no comment. When he spoke to Burningstar asking about his sister, she waited for the other leader to respond but before she had the chance to, Sean seemed to notice her for the first time and looked her up and down, clearly assessing her, before asking who she was.
"I could ask the same of you. But I am Froststar, Leader of SummerClan." She said stiffly, not really liking the look of the tom and the way he acted so casually around Clan Leaders.
This may not be her first Gathering as leader of SummerClan but it was the first one she had attended since her lives ceremony and subsequently regaining all her memories of her past life, and with the revelation of her old experiences, it had changed her.
"Thane, I..." Peachstar trailed off, still not quite able to meet Thane's eyes. Could he really let his mate do this for him, and risk death just so they could be together? As he opened his eyes and met Thane's gaze, he knew he already had his answer.
"...Thank you," he murmured, shoulders sagging as all the energy in his body left him. "You...you never cease to astound me, Thane. You're welcome in SpringClan anytime." He paused for a second, just the hint of one of his trademark bright smiles beginning to bloom on his face. "You'll have to be an apprentice for a bit, though."
NightClan Burningstar was a bit taken aback by Sean's flirting and she blinked at him for a moment. Before she then recovered, wasn't Green Glowstar's other name, and looking at Sean she could see the similarities between him and Glowstar. She recovered and dipped her head to him. "Oh, you're looking for Glowstar well she's... over there by Kerrigan." Burningstar meowed flicking her tail towards the BrookClan leader. "I should warn you though, she's... in a bit of difficult situation. Foxstar and Kerrigan have taken over DayClan and SpringClan... with... NightClan helping conquer SpringClan." She added a bit quickly. She wasn't... ashamed per se of what she'd done. SpringClan had been bested by NightClan and Peachstar had surrendered. The act of defeating them was not what weighed heavily in her gut like a stone. It was what Foxstar intended to do to those cats, and what she and Kerrigan had already done. Take the kits from DayClan and SpringClan and divide them up between them.
And Burningstar doubted those kittens would be entirely as well off as the 4 kittens Burningstar and Soaringbird had taken from BrookClan. Much less the mothers of those children. But still after Kerrigan's reaction when she'd come demanding retribution for the action, and Burningstar herself sitting on the matter. She realized what an awful thing she'd done... and thus when the discussion of kits had come up Burningstar had firmly said she wanted none. She would not be part of an effort to separate mothers and kits again. Or at least, take them and add them to NightClan again, her paws were not clean of the matter entirely.
"Mmm. yeah, you could ask me, but since you're not I'll introduce myself. I'm Sean, from Renegade Regime. I was the commander there, but now I'm one of Commander Mars many guards."
His eyes widened with shock at Burningstar's statement, "Are you being serious? Uh! That's hilarious, you're such an awful friend, I loooove that. She's literally cursed, I swear. It's probably because of all the poor cats she killed, she's just going to keep getting back stabbed for all the bad karma she's racked up, her own fault, honestly. I always tell her, well at least your soul is more savable than that fur color. It's funny cause there's nothing that she can do about it. Anyways how bad is it? Did her whole clan get murdered?" He gasped, "Are you going to murder her? That would be out-rage-ous, please invite me cause we kind of have this bet going. I mean don't get be wrong, we hate each other, but it's not as bad as it sounds, we just more don't care... Things got complicated after I killed her best friend. Anyways! Super cool meeting you, love the fur, but winter so is not your friend. Actually I should probably get to know you more, it's a soirée after all."
