Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He could just make out a hint of a mischievous grin snuck across her lips at his frustration before going back to appearing as her oblivious self, "Of course," Strik said picking up the fish and following Bloodyrondo back to camp.
It was infuriating how agreeable Stik was, but, to be devil's advocate, she did just promise subservience. Bloodyrondo still felt like she was kind of making fun of him, though. He picked up his fish and lead the way back through the camp's tunnels and was happy at least that they could not speak on account of the prey that they were carrying. --- "Strik! Bloody!" They had been in camp maybe thirty seconds when Discordantpaw's calico face popped up out of the corner of Bloodyrondo's eye. The she-cat's nearly black pelt looked like a void in the sunlight and he was surprised to realize just how grown up she was starting to look. Sure, she still had a little kitten fluff, but she was undeniably apprentice aged now. Foxbane had insisted on promoting her at four moons old so this was significant.
Dissy trotted over as if to rub her face against her half-brother in her usual greeting. He braced for impact but it never came; she had chosen to bump Glowstar instead, "Been awhile since we're been on a patrol together! How are you? Oh, right, fish's got your tongue, haha."
Bloody shot daggers at Discordantpaw. He felt betrayed but literally couldn't say anything. She met his gaze but her purple eyes revealed nothing; she continued purring.
Strik's eyes brightened at the greeting, it had been a life time ago since an apprentice in SunClan greeted her fondly. When DayClan was enslaved Foxstar at the time had tried to keep her busy by making her more involved by giving her Spellpaw, Foxstar's granddaughter. Since then she hadn't gotten an apprentice from SunClan, but it still warmed her heart to hear a young voice call out excitedly. With a quick flash of a grin Strikhedoniadalisay threw her fish up high in the air, "Good," She replied swiftly before lifting her snout up to try and catch the falling fish. Instead of catching it in her mouth it landed at the tip of her snout. Strikhedoniadalisay winced as she carefully balanced the large fish on her snout, "StarClan," She cursed slowly wobbling over to the freshkill pile and placing the fish on top.
Strik licked at her paw grooming her face to get the fish smell off of her, "Yeah it has been a while. Littlestar and Bloodyrondo don't usually assign me to patrols unless I'm here when they're announcing them. Since I missed today's patrol I decided to go out hunting to catch up with my slack and found Bloodyrondo. I can show up tomorrow for hunting patrols since it looks like I won't make it back to the league tonight."
Discordantpaw's purple eyes went wide as she saw Strikhedoniadalisay toss the rather large fish in the air as if it were as light as a mouse. She grinned widely as she watched it come back down and balance on the DayClan leader's nose. If she noticed Strik's slight praise to StarClan, she didn't say anything about it, "Wow, Bloodyrondo could never do something that cool." She said as she followed Strik to the fresh-kill pile, her tail sticking straight in the air. She had a little spring to her step but anyone who knew the game of mischief could tell she was intentionally picking on her older brother, "And you said you were planning to go to the League? Why not still go? I want to go visit my dad anyway, we can go together!"
"Absolutely not." Bloodyrondo growled as he joined the two she-cats. He had practiced the fish trick when he put his own catch in the fresh-kill pile but it landed on his head. The sun-shaped face paint was looking less like a sun and more like a hair-ball. Thankfully, it seemed that no one had seen the failure, or so he convinced himself as he drew his paw to his forehead, "Discordantpaw, you have a morning patrol tomorrow that you can't miss."
"No I don't," Dissy replied but she had a bemused smile on her face. Smug. Almost like she knew this was coming.
"Well, now you do." Bloodyrondo said dismissively. He was smirking. Serves her right for making fun of him earlier, "Strik, I'll include you in the sun-high patrols, if that works for you."
Strikhedoniadalisay smiled at the jab at Bloodyrondo, she hadn't known they were siblings before, but she could already guess they were or at the very least had a sibling relationship with one another. For a moment she thought about saying yes to Discordantpaw, but Bloodyrondo answered for them. She had forgotten that SunClan was strict about apprentices never leaving camp, even for gatherings, which sucked eggs. She had grown up in the Regime and given their loner attitudes, they had done the same to her, although that extra sucked because it denied her sunlight for her entire childhood. At least in SunClan they couldn't deny sunlight.
"I forgot how tough you guys are on the whole, no apprentices leaving thing. Yeah sure, it's been forever since I've been on an official one," Strik agreed in a casual tone, she scanned the grounds of the camp for a moment, likely looking for Dusky before her attention returned back to the two. "Are you two siblings?"
Bloodyrondo waited for Discordantpaw to answer but the calico she-cat was busy grooming herself. Of course she was. Her eyes were on the ground but he could tell she was smirking. She knew it annoyed him to have to explain their relation to other cats so she was intentionally forcing him into it. Oh, whatever, he wasn't a coward, "Half siblings. You probably wouldn't know my mother well - she is still an Initiate, but her name is Vibrance. You would know Discordantpaw's mother, though. Foxbane," He watched Glowstar's eyes, hoping to get some sort of telling reaction, he knew that the DayClan leader and ex-High Priestess had a colorful history, "Our father is---"
"I'll give you a hint!" Discordantpaw cut Bloodyrondo off and dropped to the ground. She rolled onto her back and suck her left hind leg out to reveal a beautiful, perfectly formed bengal rosette on her inner thigh. She actually had some more rosettes on her pelt but most were not complete or rather small. This one was dramatic because everything about it -from its coloration to its pattern - looked cut and sewn off Funk E'tan's very own pelt, "I already told you he's in the League. Can you guess?"
"Uhhhhh. I don't know, there's like two prominent bengal families in Primal Instinct and dozens more individually," Glowstar said honestly with a sheepish smile, guessing genetics always felt impossible, but maybe that wasn't true. Lucistic and Senescence were kidnapped young and when they returned they looked very different in nearly every physical way possible and yet she knew they were hers. Maybe it was different when looking over her own kits though. "Go ahead and reveal it."
"You're not even going to try?" Discordantpaw looked positively disappointed as she did her best to lay on the guilt. She was still quite young and had a lot of kitten energy left in her; as such, the meanest thing any adult cat could do was not play along with her games. Unfortunately, her older half-brother had no problem with being more direct.
"Funk." He sighed as he scruffed the apprentice, pulling her back into an upright position, "Discordantpaw, I think it's about time you head over to the apprentices den. Don't you dare bother Glo- Strikhedoniadalisay anymore tonight. I'll see you in the morning."
"No fun." She frowned and turned her eyes to the DayClan leader, as if expecting her to stand up for her.
--- OOC: We have so many threads so I'm totally cool with ending this here / on the next reply!
"I mean, I figured it was Funk, but he's my boyfriend, if I was wrong I think I'd die a little inside for guessing him," Strikhedoniadalisay laughed before noticing Discordantpaw's stare, "What, if you don't want to go to the apprentice den you can always disobey. That's literally all I did at your age, until it got so bad they imprisoned me again. But then I broke out and moved into the league cause screw the rules, but then the league threw me out for going on my own private mission to take over DayClan. It's their loss though because DayClan's mine now. Unless Funk and I do marry then technically the league does get it," She laughed once more with a smile so light and carefree her worries seemed the weight of gossamer.
"Oh! You're dating our dad? That's so cute even though you are like way older than him!" Discordantpaw feigned surprise, it was not really a secret that the two of them were a couple, although it was always good to confirm the rumor from its source, "You are so cool, I would never break any rules like that."
"You aren't seriously going to give DayClan to the League, right? Just because you have a crush on the Nemesis?" Bloodyrondo cut in with an edge to his voice that made Disocrdantpaw shut up real quickly. She could tell that her brother was not playing around anymore. He always took everything too seriously. She blinked her eyes slowly toward Strik as Bloodyrondo continued, "I've never heard of something so, foolhardy. Irresponsible. Your poor subordinates..."
