Glowstar in seconds was on Shule after she tumbled with Funk. Her reaction time had dulled by two seconds since being a proxy and unfortunately that meant everything. Still if there was one thing she knew how to do it was defend, if Shule took his life she knew how to keep her away from taking anymore. Her claws dug into Shule's flank instead of aiming for any vitals and aimed to unbalance her so her bite would lose its motion and therefore its force. She twisted hard to get Shule off, but once again that was the issue of having that two second delay, she was far too close to Funk and damage could be done despite her efforts.
Even Shule could tell Funk wasn't a fighter. He wasn't vicious like Glowstar, despite being a League cat. Well, at least he didn't have the same strike power, she could tell it in the differences between his grasping claws and the sudden weight of Glowstar, her own attacks much sharper, much deeper than his. Her teeth dug into his shoulder, tearing through muscle as she literally grabbed him, throwing herself backwards and twisting to crash the Nemesis to the ground punishingly, jaws releasing in the same moment he connected with the earth, claws already poised to hit against his throat. Whatever damage Green did, she could deal with her in a moment. Her focus was on Funk, first and foremost. With her goal clear, she didn't need to hurt or kill the DayClan leader if necessary, though she wasn't above it, if her sister-in-law got too in the way of her fight with the League tom.

Okay yeah, he wasn't a fighter. But he tried? That's what he could say. Even if it was a small sting, it was better than running. Though he didn't feel quite right thinking that. Especially when he began to see stars. Funk crumpled from the suplex, not even able to keep any sort of hold. Blood seeped into his mouth, some part of his tongue got bit off. He couldn't help but struggle, flail in an attempt to get his feet under him and get away from the fight. Gee, this was already worse than what he did to Sean. It wasn't good enough, he knew that. Somehow, he managed to get onto his side, but every attempt at getting up resulted in his feet slipping out from under him. Funk could barely make out the two she-cats, a stretch of white in front of him that was too fuzzy to make sense of.
She could feel the moment of impact, her claws tearing perfectly through flesh in that familiar way that shocked her back to reality. Funk would not survive this hit. He was far too lucky that he most likely had the lives to spare, but even Shule was only fair. Well, not really, but what he'd done by comparison was less than Foxbane had, and even as a killer, she had her own standards. She wasn't trying to rid him from this world permanently, though living was more than he truly deserved.
Rolling, she twisted, digging her claws into Glowstar and shoving to force her off if she wasn't already, and bouncing nimbly to her feet. Her front paws, once white, were stained in red, and blood dripped from more than a few places on her body, but unlike the poor Nemesis, hers were, unfortunately, not lethal. Her expression was cold, eyes flitting between the DayClan leader and the dying he-cat just in case.
Glowstar knew a killing blow when she saw one and fell stiffly to the side. Her paws methodically pushing her up, instinct her only drive. The blood pooled out, the grass swayed in the breeze. He didn’t look right lying on the ground, the suns rays shining on every gruesome detail. This moment was slow, cold, it tore at her until the pain ringing in her skin felt numb, yet the wind didn’t stop and the sun stayed warm, the world went on around her. Shule’s world did too, she would return home to the Regime and go about her life, this would never cause her sleepless nights, this would always be a memory without any weight to her.
“This is why I couldn’t raise Serenity and Kaisra with you. We should be a team because we care about the same people. We should be moms first. Instead you would never put your claws aside for family, you’re driven to make others pay rather than change. You chose to play mercenary rather than talk this out and at least try to make this a happy family. It wasn’t my job then to make you a mom and it isn’t now, I can’t make you something you’re not. But for me, this family is worth trying for so I won’t fight back, you do a good enough job hurting yourself," She looked stronger in this moment, less herself and more built into the persona of DayClan leader.
Glowstar moved to Funk’s side and sat down beside him, there was nothing left to do except be there for him and guard him from any further dangers. She didn't look at him once, she didn't engage her morbid curiosity to know if a leader shifts from a person to just a body or if their lives made them look rosy, lively, despite the temporary death. She had killed leaders, but she never stuck around to know and she couldn't bare the fear of seeing a corpse now and when he awoke, trapped in the trauma of this moment. Glow wiped at something wet around her eyes and realized she had been crying, but couldn't remember how long, she felt entirely detached from everything. She placed a paw over Funk's shoulder comfortingly and whispered a soft lullaby, the world around her melting away.
"Don’t lose yourself ♩♬ Though darkness is never far, don’t lose yourself Don’t let it take your heart For even if you lose yourself I will find you in the dark I will chase the fears away Worries will scurry far. ♩♫"
Sean wasn't far, Shule had been gone too long, usually she was done tormenting someone much earlier than this. This could be one of two things, she had gone off the deep end or Glowstar was savagely going at his wife. The first one was hot, but the second one was really bad so both he had to be there for!

It was always destined to end this way.
Guess there was no way to talk it out, or run away. For as many opportunities as Funk had to escape this fate, he didn’t take any of them. A rare change of mentality for the Nemesis. This was never something he would do before. Some regret welled in him that poured out as blood, seeping into the ground below him. It happened so fast, and he was still so far behind, that he wasn’t sure if he could feel the pain or not. He couldn’t breathe, making an awful whistling noise as he attempted. Panic took him over, but his strength was taken. The only thing he could do was stare out, catching the shuffling of feet in the corner of his vision.
His hearing was taken, and he suddenly felt so cold. He knew the sun was beating on him, but it wasn’t enough. Slowly, like a wind up toy on its last few turns, his movements slowed. The panic slowed. He couldn’t feel anything. It was a quick death, one completed by his final silent scream. Those last moments were the most painful, tears unintentionally pricking the corner of his eyes. The gardenia was ruined, stained red.
~9 to 8~
The first life given to him tore like a hot knife. Like the blood was being sucked back into him all at once. It felt like lava being poured into him, burning from the inside out. There was darkness, a shaking that gave way to light. Funk couldn’t move right away, pain grappling him. It made him realize he was alive again.
Sean walked over, “Hey babe, wha-“ He looked at Shule’s red paws, “OH GOD. Did you actually kill Glowstar!? She only has one life Shule!”
He looked to the side, no wait, she was sitting up right looking over Funk. OVER FUNK E'TAN, “OH GOD. Did you kill the nemesis of Pri-mal fluffin' Instinct?" He exclaimed again as he began to pace the ground, "This is so BAD. Also They’re going to kill us! What if the Pride turns on us? Also, I don't know if you know this Shule, but dying, hurts, like really really bad and that one time I died, the Blind Protector wasn't even sure if I was worth bringing back, but he did anyways and like, Funk might not come back and then what? AND I TOLD YOU NOT TO MESS WITH STEVE AND JESSICA, ONE RULE!" Sean fell to the ground, exhausted from freaking out. His face was planted in the grass, And- Wait." He lifted his head up enough to talk, "Did you kill him for me? For my honor and justice?”
Glowstar rested her head and paws over Funk’s side like a wolf guarding her prey, a carnivorous look staring right into Sean, “You know, you have more than one life in you. I bet when Funk returns to full strength I could drag you to primal instinct and he can take back that life your mate stole from him,” She threatened staring daggers into Sean.
Sean scoffed, "I swear, outsiders are just so violent."
True. It had been the one rule. "No one messes with my family, Sean, and especially not my mate. Not even the League Nemesis gets that privilege." She answered him shifting to lean down and touch her nose to the top of his head. Hopefully he would understand. And hopefully this time, it didn't result in an entire group trying to start a war, but then again, Funk was likely not much better than Foxbane in the first place, and luck never did seem to be on her side.
At Glowstar's comment, the Superior turned a slow circle to level her gaze back at the DayClan leader. "If you lay one claw on Sean, Green, then I swear to whatever gods you believe in, that I will find and exploit every single fear you hold, and make your life a living hell. You and Funk keep your paws off my family, and then we'll have no problems. You're right, we should be a team. I've done my best to be civil, for the most part. I am not perfect, and I do not claim that my ways are your ways. I never asked you to change me. I will care for family in my way, and you in yours, though I will never be able to truly trust you, as much as I wish I could. Perhaps one day we can talk this through, but until then, I will continue to challenge each and every threat to those I care about as they arise. I've sat back long enough on the whims of Commanders to hold my tongue and follow orders, and I'm sick of seeing my family hurt from my own hesitance to act."
She nosed Sean. It would likely be wise of them to leave. Perhaps they could go on that date after all, or maybe they should just leave altogether. Shule didn't expect to be welcome here. "I don't expect you to understand."

Funk could make out the words being spoken, but his mind couldn't quite place them together yet. Even when a new yet familiar voice entered the fray, he didn't recognize it for several moments. The blood had sunk into his fur, an ugly red patch forming. Even if pain was mixing still, messing everything up as he slowly found his feet under him and began to move. He couldn't lay here for long. He needed to get up, needed to run or fight or whatever. Funk wasn't quite there though, only able to roll onto his stomach. Unbeknownst to him but now surely seen by the others, a new scar had formed on his neck. Ripping away the fur that was there before, it was red and angry, jumping as his heartbeat again. This pain, it was surely like no other. Best for him not to get addicted to it.
Light green gaze shifting from the pair of Regime cats to Glowstar, still standing over him protectively. He placed one of his paws over her's gently, though still shaking somewhat. "It's okay, they're not worth the..." Funk started but his surprise made him choke out. For one, talking hurt like absolute hell. The smell of blood felt like it was flooding him but the feeling was like a tearing. A ripping pain like he was getting killed all over again. The worse thing was the sound. His normal tone was masked by a dissonant deepness, scratchy and hoarse that made it seem like the words were begging to leave him. This wasn't right. Wasn't he supposed to return healed? Why. Funk unconsciously touched the scar, and when he pulled away, there was red on his paw. "time? Time! Wh-What did you do to me?" His desperation and confusion ended with a hacking cough, one that went on far too long and ended with more blood on the grass around them. Time had started again.
“Shule,” Sean whispered adoringly. That was, that melted his entire heart, he felt warmer inside than he had in a long time, like the blizzard in his heart in one fast swoop turned to spring.
Sean nuzzled back into her, “Babe, that was… The. Hottest thing you’ve ever done, honestly, I think that cured my depression, is that possible? I think it is, but, say no more.” Even though Shule hadn’t said anything he made a shh sound, “It’s alright. There’s no need to explain.” He cooed lovingly.
Glowstar glared at Shule, she wanted to fight her on every word she spoke. Tell her she had no right to murder Funk for hurting Sean. That none of this was fair, but her gaze drifted back to Funk’s body, still recovering. This could have been anyone in her family, they all attacked so easily. Culturally the Regime and the league were too different, it wouldn’t surprise her if Shule’s claws were up to Lucistic or Senescence’s neck someday. Shule didn’t hesitate, that was the fact she learned today.
“Fine. Since an attack warrants death then… Maybe my family will have to do end ties with yours for their safety. But if I do Kotori and Zakiyyah are on our side of the family now,” Glowstar said, but the sorrow she felt was plain as day on her face, she didn’t want to suggest what she was offering. She didn’t catch the look of shock and pain that ran through Sean’s eyes at that statement when instead she noticed Funk waking up.
Her eyes teared up, watching him slowly shift, he still looked so hurt, but why? She stroked his back gently, but she felt panic slam into her heart when he began to choke at his own words, he couldn’t talk. Her accusing gaze turned to Shule and even Sean looked at Shule in confusion.
Did Shule do something to him? The thought ran through Sean’s mind, but he dismissed it the moment it came, she wouldn’t. She was honorable, she hadn’t even known she’d run into him, right?
“H-Hold on Funk,” Glowstar said, her voice for a moment coming out weak and uncertain. Her gaze searched for anything to help stop the bleeding in his neck, but they were in open fields. “Dammit,” She said, feeling a lump form in her throat, but she kept her voice steady, “Relax, I’ll-“ She looked in the direction of DayClan, it was far, maybe too far to get him help, she had been dragged for sometime by Shule before deciding to run off and when she did run she hadn’t run very far. Her mind was moving faster than time, thinking through every obstacle and calculating which route, which choice would be best for Funk.

Shule couldn't bring herself to say anything to Sean, though she felt her rage slipping away at his touch, the barest hint of a purr rumbling in her chest. Had her proclamation of protecting him against any threat really been so meaningful? To her, it seemed simply obvious. No one hurt her family and got away with it. Well, she thought that, until Glowstar spoke up and mentioned Kotori and Zakiyyah. It made the Superior visibly flinch, every inch of her body freezing up in an instant, her expression blanking out into a sort of nothingness that made it seem as though she was a machine that had just been overloaded and shut itself down. She wanted to turn and scream in return that Green couldn't simply steal more of her kits from her, though at the same time, she instantly understood her sister-in-law's point. After all, she had just stated that any threats to her family would be dealt with directly, and though it had started after her son's massacre, understandably, he was implicated in such a thing, and Zakiyyah too, for siding with him. More than Funk, and more even than Foxbane, Kotori had killed not only Regime cats, but other relatives of hers, including step-kits like Anansi and Plumamine. It was a double standard, and if she wasn't to be hypocritical, then she ought to be willing to kill them next time she saw them, right? But it wasn't that easy.
Even still, if she made exceptions for family hurting family, she wouldn't have considered Funk to be family, no matter what relationship he had with Glowstar. They weren't mates, she was certain of that, and if she wanted to be honest, she didn't consider Green as much her family as she did everyone on her own side, her littermates, their families and mates, Sean's other kits, all were more family to her than the DayClan leader. And yet, the she-cat would take her kits in to protect them.. from her, if it came to it? That left Shule feeling highly confused, angry, and having an underlying appreciation for it all the same. Only a few sentences, and in a way, it forced her to look at what she considered family and why, and begged her to make a choice, of who 'family' really was to her. Was it only her own and her mate's kits? Or did it extend to the side of the family she would usually rather pretend didn't exist. That was a lot to think about, and she couldn't even be certain her thoughts were coherent, they were so jumbled around in her mind. Think about it later. The little voice in her mind warned. Or you may just have a breakdown here. Forget it. File it away for now.
So she did, shoving the thoughts back down into the recesses of her mind as her body moved mechanically to turn fully towards Glowstar. Time had seemed to slow down, all these thoughts racing in between the time it took for the leader to speak, and for her accusing gaze to land back on them. A mere few moments that felt like eternity.
He wasn't healed. At least, not entirely. That, wasn't possible. Even Shule knew that. It didn't make sense, and confusion flickered over her gaze. Sean was right, she was a straightforward cat, not the sort to intentionally try to ruin Funk's voice. Her goal had been to take a life, as simple as that, and she had no intention of making him suffer more, nor leave a lasting impact on his body, other than the scar that now ran across his throat.
Her mate also had a point on her honor. Shule wasn't a needlessly cruel cat, and though she could let him die again without much feeling of loss for him as a feline, the idea didn't sit right with her. So, as much as she hated the idea of helping a cat who'd hurt her family, she managed to find her voice, the sound flat as she spoke. "The tunnels may be fastest." The ebony she-cat noted simply. "I walked through them recently. They're not in the best of shape, so it may be dangerous, but the pathways are pretty direct." She didn't know DayClan territory well, however, so she could be wrong. "Otherwise, you're banking on someone from either of our groups being near enough to help, and luck is generally not something to trust."
Was she much help at all? Maybe, probably not, but for a cat who wouldn't hesitate, even she wouldn't just let him suffer. No matter how much the despised the idea of doing anything that could be considered remotely kind to him.

He wouldn't have noticed the brief confusion in her eyes normally. But he was scanning them for a response. And this one told him this was an unintended side effect. Funk looked down at his paws. "I see, nevermind." Each word was gargled and strained like he had an overly mucousy cold. But like, unrealistically mucousy. He forced himself to sit up, not giving himself much of a chance to sit. Funk hated the look on their faces, pity and confusion. He... wanted to be strong. Wanted to shrug this off. Blood had caked all over his front and muzzle, gunking up in between his toes and in his claws. He couldn't feel any running down his chest, but there was no doubt he was bleeding internally. All of them seemed confused as to why he was still injured. So what was this? Was this just an anomaly? Did Starclan, or the Dark Forest or whoever choose to not heal him fully? But why... He'd walk if he had to. Cause he was stubborn enough to.
Glowstar looked hesitant to listen to Shule, even if she was right she knew with pretty good certainty that Brakewings was by no means a reliable medicine cat. She kept trying to drop subtle hints that he should definitely get an apprentice so eventually she could fire Brakewings, but so far no luck, he was their only medicine cat and they would just have to live with the fact that he had a demon whispering in his ears who could tell him to poison a cat at any moment. For a moment she considered SunClan, but again, little trust there on bringing them an outsider. Why were there so many bad options!? And why hadn't she paid more attention to Rake when he explained how to heal. All she could remember now was a valerian root!
"I know the tunnels from the ex surveillance team, one goes straight to camp," Glowstar said and then looked to Sean, "I need you, I know mom taught you how to heal, so help me out here."
"I-" Sean began, but seemed to think better of what he was going to say as old heinous memories found their way back, "I don't want to heal again."
Glowstar held his gaze for a moment and once his gaze fled hers she nudged Funk, "I can only drag one of you so it's going to have to be you, Funk. Don't even worry, I can manage."
With that Glowstar crawled underneath Funk, struggling initially to stand, but once she was up she was able to carry his weight and headed towards the tunnels.
Sean looked conflicted about his decision not to help them, but his tail curled around Shule's tail comfortingly.

Funk listened to the conversation, picking out certain things. It wasn't much, he was so rattled. Lowering his head and coughing again, that wet cough stained the ground with blood. Okay, definitely not good. Now he really wished Elyon had followed him. At least so she could back and get Nyira or Blue. The bengal Nemesis could do it himself, but with how runny his vision was getting it was for the best. He almost blacked out, somehow forcing himself to stay awake.
"You have the power to heal and yet not choose to? Hmm, I guess my expectations were too high for the Party King to handle." He wished he could say it simply, dryly. Instead, he felt liquid seeping out the side of his mouth and his words gargled in the mix. Funk couldn't even look at the Regime pair, shifting to completely focus on Glowstar. "I know you can. But do be careful." He tried to move in some way to help her, but his feet gave way underneath himself the instant Glow was able to stand and steady herself. He opened his mouth to thank her, but a wave of nausea made him close it again, pushing his head against her shoulder blades.

"I can carry him if you get tired." She wasn't going to force Sean to heal someone he didn't want to, let alone someone who'd hurt him. Shule couldn't do that to her mate, and she gave him a reassuring nudge, though her expression was still stony and cold. She would offer help as far as getting him to someone willing to heal him, but once he was in helpful paws, she was done with him. After all, she would neither be welcome, nor did she particularly want to be around either of the two felines before her at this current moment. Hopefully Glowstar understood that it was only due to her nature of being 'unable to stop being a mercenary' for any amount of time that she was even helping.
Okay, she wasn't supposed to be on DayClan land. She'd also been attempting to listen to Azura and not just show up randomly without warning as Glowstar's adopted daughter had asked her. The multicolor feline understood it. No one in the clan wanted her here. Well, except one. Green of course would never be upset by her showing up. Actually, maybe not never. She hadn't exactly been great to the she-cat she'd recently confessed her love to previously, though as it so happened, this was still before the time of her second confession and the realization of any relationship between the Nemesis and leader of her neighboring clan. But, that was besides the point, wasn't it? Foxbane paused as the scent hit her nose, body tensing on instinct as memories flashed before her eyes. Regime. She scrambled for a moment, wondering why they were there, until she recalled some rumors of them having been flooded out and hanging around in DayClan while things cooled off.
She should leave. And she was already half turned to do so when the scent of blood and the whispers on the wind caught her attention. It wasn't just the Regime, it was Shule, she'd be able to pick out the Superior anywhere, it was Glowstar, it was... Funk? Something about this all seemed so very, very wrong, and the ex-Priestess spun around, her paws carrying her at a rapid pace until she was standing in front of them, shock written across her face. The Senator didn't even pay attention to Shule's body freezing up, claws flicking out in a heartbeat, as she turned to Glowstar in concern, noting the new scar on Funk's neck. It wasn't long ago she'd given birth to the tom's kits, and though their connection was little, the hurt she saw in Green's eyes was more than enough to spur her on to otherwise unusual acts of generosity. "What in the hell happened!?" She could guess, based on the Mercenary's bloody paws, but to be honest, she didn't want to try and fight Shule. Even as much as she despised the she-cat, she would never win an outright fight, and her paw found it's way to her own throat in memory.
The look of shame on Sean's face was clear and being called out on it he opened his mouth, not even sure what defense he could even say, but instead closed his mouth shut immediately. Party King, only one person ever called him that, because of course everyone else called him the King of Everything, or Commander, or Shawn, or okay apparently everyone had a unique nickname for him now that he thought about it, but Party King was far too familiar. Although it was familiar and the memories came back it also didn't make any sense, but he didn't have time to rack his mind for a logical explanation when he watched Funk collapse onto Glowstar. What was Glowstar going to do if she lost Funk E'tan?
He suddenly could hear someone coming towards them. Foxbane had roared into the clearing like thunder with such an intense energy radiating off of her he could have sworn he felt the heat of her anger. Sean winced and as Foxbane's attention moved from one person to another until finally landing on Shule and pushed himself underneath her chin, if Foxbane went for the throat she would get his fangs.
Glowstar wished a wave of relief had come at at Foxbane's presence, but instead her fur spiked and the memory of carrying Deal's body to safety came racing back. Her claws unsheathed, her stress at an all time high before regaining her senses, but still allowed her claws to remain out.
"HE'S BLEEDING OUT, HELP HIM!"
Glowstar turned back when it hadn't been her that had said it, but Sean. The desperation bare and fearful and his eyes traitorously showed every ounce of panic he had.
"I'll get you anything you need," Sean promised, his tone lighter now. It wasn't easy to do, he didn't blame Glowstar for what happened to their kits, but he did blame Foxbane. He blamed her for wiping their memories, he blamed her for lying, and more importantly he blamed her for making Shule disappear. He was swallowing a lot of pride to ensure his sisters happiness and it was not easy.
For once, despite her initial instinctual reaction, she felt happy to see Foxbane there in her weakest hour.
Post by Honeystorm on Feb 15, 2020 22:43:19 GMT -5
The moment Green's claws came out, Foxbane's ears flicked back. She couldn't help the wave of hurt at the fact that, no matter how things had been patched up with her confession in the snow, she still didn't have Glowstar's full trust. The Senator had no right to feel as she did, it was her own fault, but still, the pain in her chest lingered, even as she was shocked back to reality by Sean's shout, her gaze flitting to him as her eyes widened a touch in surprise. They would never get along. Foxbane still hated the Regime for her imprisonment, and very much disliked Shule for taking one of her lives, even knowing she'd deserved it. It was hard to become more sympathetic when clearly if was the Superior who was the reason for all this pain Glowstar was feeling, and for the bleeding Nemesis before her. But she let her gaze hold Sean's for a moment, before she gave a single, slow nod, almost invisible to the eye as her body loosened, expression calming into something determined, yet steady. "Alright."
Instantly, she moved to Funk, examining him with all the expertise and gentleness of any medicine cat. It was a strange look for the ex-Priestess. Once upon a time, she had nearly killed her own clanmates for lack of healing skill, and now she deftly moved with grace and thoughtfulness, mind racing as it sifted through remedies as light speed. "Foxglove leaves and Lady's Mantle for bleeding. Crushed rose thorns and chewed gumweed to seal wounds. Marigold for infection. Cobwebs for bleeding." She spoke these at a rather conversational level, loud enough that it was clear she was listing off herbs for Sean to hopefully find. In the meantime, she flicked up her tail, smoothing down the fur and pressing it against Funk's throat. In lieu of cobwebs for the moment, her own thick fur would just have to do. "Okay, now someone explain exactly why he's bleeding out for me, will you? You can tell me the full story later, I just need the gist of his injuries." She only seemed to be half paying attention, murmuring something that sounded suspiciously like a prayer to the Sun God to lend his strength and wisdom to her, though it was too low to truly make out what she was saying except in snippets of a word or two. Either way, she didn't seem to lose focus.
Shule didn't have any words to say. Rather, she was looking at Sean with a stunned expression. After his refusal, she didn't expect him to turn around and offer to help, least of all when Foxbane showed up. In a way, Sean was a better person in that moment than she. She would have kept her mouth shut when faced with Foxbane instead of speaking up for her aid, even though her intentions seemed pretty obvious from the moment she arrived.

It was a long story. This was the only time Funk was glad he fell asleep in that twoleg house moons ago. It felt like a lifetime ago, and now it was. It was a rude awakening for Sean but also damn man. Funk was bleeding out here and it was his fault. He should at least feel more guilty. He really had no idea what he was walking into, especially when Foxbane arrived. If he wasn't dying, he might be less confused. That was not very likely though. She was the last person he expected to come. If he wasn't so cold, a rush of warmth would have taken him over. Really, he had no idea how to feel about anyone, but especially not Foxbane.
Still, some part of him was relieved. If anyone could help him, it was her. Still. "An interesting group we got here. But she probably knows what she's doing better than Brakewings." Funk was no fool to Glow's staff, though he spoke quietly so only Glow could hear him. He heard that she had wanted Brake to take an apprentice by now cause he wasn't very good. And, at this point, he'd rather take his chances with Foxbane and Sean rather than have her carry him all the way to camp.
His gaze shifted to Foxbane, moving his head slightly to let her see the wound more. His ears flicked as she gave out orders, nodding some as she listed them off. "Good. Good. Suplexed then my throat got tore out. Lost a life yet I'm still bleeding for some reason." Voice as cracked as ever, he didn't expect her to know why he was still bleeding. But if the job was to make his faith in the forces above them waver some, it did a good job.

The ex-Priestess tone was entirely full of snark. "You're an idiot, you know that? Picking a fight with a Regime cat never ends well. 'Specially if it's the dark brute of a Superior over there."
Glowstar had gently placed Funk down for Foxbane to examine, but looked uncertain by Foxbane's instruction, what if Sean wasn't going to get all of that. Tears glinted in Glowstar's eyes as she pushed them back, she didn't want to appear anymore scared than she already did in front of Funk.
Sean looked hesitant leaving Shule there and placed a paw on her shoulder, "I'm asking you to please stand by, watch over them, but don't put yourself on the line if there's danger and don't let me-" He paused and then never returned back to the subject licking her on the side of the cheek, "I'll be quick." With that Sean ran off to go collect the herbs.
For a moment Glowstar stared out around the forest distracted, "Yeah, well that didn't stop either of you. Everyone knows the right way to approach Shule is screaming and running in the opposite direction."
