Pour didn't even hear them talk, worn down pebbles and droplets coating the shore as she ran ahead. Muddied paws scrambled to a stop as the voices faded. Course, she was still in eyeshot of Funk. Though the Nemesis appeared more interested in Blue then his cute little daughter. She felt her skin bristle, light fur poofing up. She needed to do something about this itch, this deep feeling she couldn't identify. But when she turned to face them, she passed something that made her do a double-take.
As cruel as he was pretty, Funk had messed with Poppypaw enough to be satiated for now. So his plan involved little, shaking the chilly water off his paws with a smile. "As fun as it'd be to see everyone struggle, it's not what I have in mind." Really, it was far simpler. And based on the lack of the crackles of pawsteps in front of them, he figured Pourtheteasis-chan found it. They dipped down a little as the land rose, leaving a hideaway cove right by the river. Pour's baby blue eyes could barely make out the walls, but Funk knew it wasn't horribly deep. And the river ducked more, leaving the entrance mostly dry and sunny if you got into the right area. "Not really super duper secret, but most don't come out this way. Figured this ought to satisfy both of you." He purred over the scratching of tiny kitten claws against the stony walls.
It was pretty interesting, although not quite what Blue had in mind. Her adventurous spirit had been crushed when she had been promoted to Mage so she tried her best to stick to the League's territory. She never considered abandoning her birth home as a rule but the thought crossed her mind now more than it ever had. The black she-cat would never act on it, but seeing grass on the other side wore her down. Oh, she was being a hypocrite, trying to pin this feeling all on Funk for keeping her out here. She'd already crossed that barrier all her own when she wandered into SummerClan territory. She realized now that chasing Pour had just been an excuse to leave camp for awhile.
"It's... pretty." Blue wasn't one to really kick back and relax. Truthfully she'd never even learned how to play. This place seemed like a kit's paradise, though, and she half hoped that Funk would bring their kits here someday, so long as the weather was reasonable. The water was pretty still and would be great for learning how to swim assuming that it wasn't very deep. The water was a little cold for that now, though, "So, what are we supposed to do?"

That wasn't the question he expected, tilting his head as Pour attacked this and that behind them. Blue asked it like he was pulling all the strings, some sort of director if this was a movie. Funk tilted his head, leaning down and stretching out as he replied, "Take a break. You wanted one earlier after all." This place was a lot nicer in the morning when the sun would shine in and all the rocks would glitter in the light. Feeling the pockets of tension loosening in him, he sat down in the grass, watching Pour dance around this and that with a strange affection in those green eyes. One he didn't even realize he had.
Blue blushed when she realized that her question had been stupid and set off to do just as directed before Funk noticed her embarrassment. She sat down in a patch of grass far enough away from the Nemesis that they would not touch, but close enough that she immediately regretted her decision, for she could still pick up his tell-tale scent of herbs, see the way the slight breeze ruffled his pelt, count each whisker on his muzzle. Even though she was carrying his kits, seldom had they had alone time together like this, and she was shocked how quickly her mind spiraled. Blue quickly noticed that her heart beat was speeding up. She knew better than to fall in love with Funk. He had a line of toms and she-cat pining for him and she knew that she was at the very end of it. But there was little she could do about her crush now. She knew some cats treated their out of control feelings with herbs but Blue did not know who to start, was not about to ask Nyira, and certainly wasn't going to ask the very cat who she wanted to forget.
"This is... nice..." She said half-heartedly, wanting to fill the voice of silence, but her lips quivered a little bit as she struggled to find something to talk about that wasn't her affections, "How did you find it?"

His pelt pricked, the breeze cutting through him. As the sun shone off the water, it glittered and gleamed. Rays bounced off, lighting each band of color on each strand of fur. It reminded him of the lights with broken glass in museums, the power that was now pulled and scattered along the ground. The lighting was essential for a picture, a display. He could wonder if statues blushed underneath their stony exterior, to be admired like they were. To be the centers of attention they were, to be loved like they were.
Funk didn't. Instead, he stretched out a paw to stop Pour from running off again. His daughter pouted, but dropped it. It didn't get her anywhere, the Nemesis' eyes showed nothing.
There was the truth to Blue's question, that he found it on accident while walking around with a pretty little thing or other. He never remembered. Funk loosened up as Pour found a butterfly to chase. "I used to relax here while I was Shaman, get away from some people and such. It's nice, right?"
Before Funk's succession, Blue had mostly kept to herself, skipped every gathering, lived her life as a loner in all but title. She hadn't shared a single word with him in those days. He was just another member of the hierarchy, a cat to be avoided. She was not quick to forget his affinity for herbs but she just had a hard time imagining him as anything less than the Nemesis. Shaman seemed like such a downgrade given all that she knew he was capable of today.
The fact that he shared this place with her, with its background, made it seem a lot more special. Blue wasn't sure if she was at ease or not but her black fur was sucking in the sunlight, warming up her tired bones, and all it all she felt... pleasant.
"Thank you for sharing it with me. Seeing how remote it is, I'm sure you really do get some peace and quiet here," She yawned, resting her head on her paws, suddenly exhaustion taking hold. Oh, a nap sounded so, so nice... but she knew better than the be tempted by that relief. If she fell asleep now they wouldn't be able to make it back to the church before nightfall. Not that it was a bad thing, it was just not her preference.

Funk had stopped thinking about his Shaman days since they moved. It was part of the reason they did, he had a hard time sleeping in that dusty bed. They were gone as quickly as they came, and the taste was finally starting to fade. It was about time. He barely saw anyone those days, holed away to try and fix the greenhouse. And the few he did see, were better off forgotten. So now his Nemesis-ship, it was almost his everything. If he knew what she was thinking, he'd almost feel that heart of stone crack.
"Of course." Funk purred, laying down in the sun a short distance away from Blue. The light just missed him, and the faint breeze rustled the grass in front of him. Just like the old him, he ripped a piece of it out and stuck it in between his teeth. "Yep, though now I know Pour is gonna go tell all her siblings." He chided lightly, getting his daughter's attention away from the butterfly briefly.
"Hey! No I won't. Who do you think I am?" Pour announced dramatically, sparks of anger in her voice that didn't even phase Funk as he blew the whistle blissfully.
Blue chuckled at Pour's enthusiasm. She was a spunky kit, always getting into trouble, almost like it was her special mission to do so. She didn't believe for a second that this place would be kept a secret but she didn't think it would encapture the attention of any kit for very long. It was beautiful and secluded, yes, but there was not a lot to do here outside of relax and maybe fish a little bit. She yawned again and turned her head away from Funk and his daughter, "I think I'm going to take a nap here after all. Don't feel like you need to wait for me, I'll find my way back all my own."
(we can end this here unless you have further plans :3)
