Primal Instinct
Funk looked over his shoulder at the black and white tom, rolling his eyes a little as he took a step away from the leaders. Even if they were all starting to dissipate and head towards the survival clans. "Kotori, go back with--" That was his intention, to just tell him off somewhat. So he could somewhat focus on the task at hand. So he could get himself back under control. Though those words, those damn words, brought him right back to the edge. The Nemesis' eyes widened before landing on his paws, a wave of something crashing over him. Sure, that sounded like something Sean would say but was that really part of the blowout? No doubt the stress of this situation was enough. Did he really say that? For all of Funk's logic, it was drowned out by a wave of emotion. He was drowning too, and he had no idea how to swim. What a mess. He wanted to surface so badly, get a foothold. But those words were like the final blow to the dam in his heart. There was no escape. He had to move, so he lifted his head after several moments.
"Get back with the others. And don't insult the other alliance leaders in front of me again. Or I'll turn the rest of you white to match that stupid patch on your face." He scolded under his breath before walking up to catch up with the other leaders. Even the crisp night air did little to quell that fire that burned inside of him. This was ridiculous, maybe he ought to just ask Glowstar if it was true. That's what he should have done, he knew that, though watching her hourglass figure walk ahead of him and listening to her talk to Calamitystar, he lost his nerve. The words didn't even hit his ears, just the tone. The tone that somehow made him feel it was better to take this into his own paws. This was a chance, something he could do and Foxbane couldn't. He hated the part of him that thought of it that way, but he ignored that as he approached the newest commander.
"That's your territory, right Alessandra? Have you noticed anything as of late?" Funk E'tan asked the other Revolutionary leader far too quickly, his tone laced with nerves. There was a part of him that wished it was Raijin at his side and not her. Just to have some familiarity, even if he hated the other tom. It would have made him feel better. Not like the mess he suddenly was. He lost control. It was someone's fault. He'd kill them.
"Ah Sean!" When Alessandra didn't answer right away, he turned to the Sentinel. Mad enough to grab one edge, he offered the other a smile. "Would you mind meeting with me, say near that dried up river bank by the edge of what used to be Brookclan's lands? Despite the weather, I found a plant I was interested in bringing back to the League. But it's roots are entangled around this gorgeous stone and I thought of you and your collection when I saw it. Say, when the moon is slightly past it's apex?" He held it together, but could feel his grip slipping. All at once, he was psyching himself up for this. It was just stupid enough of a lie, he figured Sean would buy it. And who'd really want to come with him when he found a new rock to rave about.
Gravel padded up close towards the leaders, keeping behind Funk E'tan out of respect, though letting out a snort of bitter amusement. "Good to see you haven't lost that stubborn Waterclan pride after all this time, Calamitystar." The former Waterclan leader purred with a small, yet genuine smile. "Fallclan is truly blessed to have you leading them. What happened to Waterclan, Earthclan, and the rest is in the past. Now is that time to focus on preserving our future." She turned her attention back to Glowstar, her kind expression now turned suddenly serious. "So what do you have in mind once we reach the Survival Clans? A flood's a ferocious thing, do you really think we can stop it?"
SUNCLAN
At the obnoxious she-cat's declaration of resisting mean comments, Flamefang simply rolled his eyes. "I mean, it's a bit late for that now, isn't it?" He remarked under his breath, feeling a bit sorry for poor Hystericplague, whose only crime was making a decent point. Instead of responding to Autumnglossomer's comments - honestly, that was the best she could come up with? He's heard worse from his brother - the former Medicine Cat did the one thing he knew would drive a cat like her absolutely nuts; he ignored her altogether. "Starclan's never done anything for anyone," he hissed at Hystericplague. "Honestly, to me, the prophecy sounds more like an exercise in controllable helplessness than anything remotely preventable. I was in the flood that destroyed the Survival clans; you can't fight nature itself, no matter how many cats are dumb enough to try."
RENEGADE REGIME
Without missing a beat, Gardenia let out a warning hiss to Funk E'tan as he approached the Sentinels, before turning a suspicious eye to Sean. What kind of offer was that? Were Sean and the Nemesis secretly conspiring together behind the Regime's back, or were they simply friends? Her thoughts were momentarily halted when she glanced over Funk E'tan's shoulder to see that familiar figure of Kotori slinking back towards the Primal Instinct group, and she once again bit back the urge to swiftly charge the traitor right then and there. It's the kind of impulse one tends to get used to, when seeing their mother's murderer on a near-monthly basis. Luckily, she was professional enough as a solider to stand aside...for now.
Thistlestar remained quiet at the sight of Rubyflame, a small part of him relieved that the leader was able to find solace in a trusted clanmate. He offered a small nod in agreement. Though the leader had yet to vocalize it outloud to anyone, he took felt the same small doubt. In the shifts of leadership throughout the clans, he feared the clans would not be strong enough to unite together enough to push forward past the impending doom. Despite his own reservations, he still had hope; hope in his clan and their ability to move forward and hope in Starclan and their vision.
The exaggerated announcement of a new leader caught the leader's attention, causing him to tear his head away from the Dayclan leader and back behind him in the direction of the meeting, his narrowed eyes narrowing slightly as he realized who it was. Another rouge group. Glowstar immediately made the trek back to the other leaders, Thistlestar following naturally. Upon his return, the amount cats in the clearing had essentially doubled. Before he could fully turn his attention back to the leaders, he scanned the clearing for his own clanmates with quiet concern. After counting the complete group, he finally felt at ease to return his attention to the leaders, nodding respectfully to both Calamitystar and Gossamer Alessandra. His collected gaze took in the Winterclan deputy thoughtfully, also offering her a respectful nod, noting the absence of the Winterclan leader.
At the tension brought by the mention of the floods and their fatal effects of the Survival Clans, Thistlestar remained collected, his spring green gaze softening at his own memories of the survivior cats that entered Springclan camp daily.
"Calamitystar has a point." The quiet leader finally spoke up, his stern gaze taking in the Fallclan leader before turning back to the rest. "The survivors of the Survival Clans know very intimately the effects of a flood. Many of which survivors relocated within all of our clans and have become family in their new prospect clans. Those who sought refuge within Springclan have proven to be some of the most resourceful and powerful members of our clan as I am sure they have for many of your clans." He stopped, allowing the words to sink for a moment before continuing "As they have assimilated into our families, their tragedies have become ours.
I know the events following the floods may have been rocky and difficult for clans to take on and endure in very drastically different ways. I can only speak for Springclan but I am sure we are all in agreement that at the threat of destruction, none of us want our clans to endure the same fate and we all have that in common." Thistlestar spoke confidently, his calm gaze took it's time to rest on each individual leader as he spoke. "How we each handled the flooding of the Survival Clans has no relevance to the task ahead, but we can certainly learn from them in order to move forward to finding answers that will push us towards salvation and not the destruction we have seen in the past. That common threshold is what we should be focused on now together as Novaclan."
At Autumngossamer's outburst, Hystericplague simply raised a brow. Ugly? Funny voice? Whatever. It wasn't anything that he wasn't already used to. He broke off into a deep cough, his gaze settling on Calamitystar, before Flamefang's voice snapped him back into the conversation. "I can't claim to know too much about the damage that the Survival flood caused, but I know the state that it left the cats involved. I spent moons afterwards still scooping up soaking kits and taking them back to Fallclan to heal. I don't know how everyone expects to stop nature. My opinion?" he paused, coughing again before continuing, "Get to the highest ground we can find. If there is, in fact, a flood coming, best to try to save ourselves instead of fight it."
"There must be something we can do!" Rubyflame said with a huff. "Twolegs can bend nature to their will, why can't we come up with something?"
"That's true," Softpelt said nodding slowly the SpringClan Medicine cat apprentice thinking back hard to her old kittypet roots fishing for a helpful memory. "I recall there being a river once near my home when I was very little. The twolegs didn't like it when it overflowed so they did something that caused it to be redirected, they brought big monsters that moved dirt and rocks and caused a shift. Perhaps if we find the source of the flood, we can do something to prevent the flood from destroying our territories?"
"I'm glad you said something or else I'd have to." Summersolstice meowed as she came up beside Funk. She'd dropped her kits off with Soaringbird, though her sister was currently one of DayClan's number at the moment. (The matter of taking back NightClan having to be left alone as survival was the priority). She gave Kotori a narrowed eye look before she focused ahead. "What did I miss? I had to settle my kits in with their aunt."

Fallclan
His ears pricked up at the sound of Gravel’s voice and he gave her a wink in return. “How could I lose my stubborn pride after you lot knocked it into me?” He joked and gave a nod to Thistlestar. “You’re right. I’m sorry I lost my temper.” He was grateful for their understanding and a bit embarrassed that he lost his cool for a moment. His character suddenly shifted back into its normal optimism and he gave the Springclan leader a friendly poke. “I hope I can be as cool as you one day!” He purred with another wink before turning towards Rubyflame. “Ya know, I think you’re on to something! I’ve seen them do that before too. Those weird bucktoothed things do it also. What were they called again? Beehives? Buckees...?”
Thistlestar turned to the Springclan Medicine Cat, his brows furrowed as his mind played with the ingenious idea. "If there is a way we can block or, or even redirect the flood, we possibly can do something about it." Thistlestar agreed, his tone even as his gaze fell away from the cats in deep thought.
The suddenly friendly poke from the Fallclan leader brought Thistlestar's attention back to the group of cats, his deep green eyes taking in black tom curiously. The compliments took Thistlestar by surprise, leaving him quiet, a small side smirk sneaking at the edge of the leader's mouth. "We don't know the direction of this potential flood." The leader proceeded, "Has anyone noticed anything strange amoungst the territories? An excess of water, a lack of?"
Kotori blinked back tears, his mouth practically gaped open in surprise, thinking of something to say, but nothing came to mind. He turned watching Funk E'tan walk off as his tail drooped. Sure it was a lie, but Funk didn't know that and even though it was a lie that would hurt Funk out of everyone he was targeting this wasn't personal. Funk was a good leader and while he wanted to hit the reset button on the new world he would miss the league the way it was now with Funk E'tan. He didn't lead like past nemesis with violence and war, but rather persuasion and charm. But more than that he was honest and blunt with an emphasis on being logical and not mean for the sake of being someone he wasn't. Now the first leader in his life who he actually admired just scolded him in front of everyone and instead of wanting revenge, he just felt pitiful. Kotori walked away from the rest of the group deciding to take a further path away from everyone. The plan would still go forward, but disappointing Funk would be a kind of shame that would stick with him.
RENEGADE REGIME
Sean looked surprised by the invitation from Funk E'tan, a joyful breathless gasp escaping his jaw, "Really? You want my help? Of course!" Sean exclaimed in excitement before rolling back his shoulders and in a more casual manner replied, "I mean, we'll have to see if I can make it at that time, but I think I can make room and it would be cool to see you there," He said with a small smile.
SUNCLAN
"If you believed that you would have gotten anyone dear to you at any lengths and taken them far away from the path of the flood, but you're here," Autumngossamer pointed out, "Besides it's... It's hard to believe right? A flood so big it doesn't just wipe out the Survival Clans, but everyone else with it? That's insane, we've had a tornado or two, but you know they leave things behind and don't touch every inch of a clan, but water is so loose and wild. It could devastate us all, but I've never heard of anything with that much water."
DAYCLAN
Glowstar nodded to Gravel, "We can stop a flood. I have a few plans in mind, but what I know is that the soil here is soggy, if flood water is going to come through we'll need our quickest warriors to scout ahead, see the probable direction of the floods path so we can create a barrier to keep most of the flood water in the Survival Clans. Unfortunately..." She said before lowering her voice into a whisper, "This might have to come at the cost of Renegade Regime's tunnels. I don't want to say anything until we're certain of that, but if such a thing happens I'm hoping Funk will be generous enough to allow Renegade back into their old territory, after all they only live underground for the most part."
TIME PROGRESSION
Glowstar walked ahead, a cold wind blew into her feathers on either side of her wind and as NovaClan walked the winds grew heavier and stronger, her tail moved up as she turned to face the other clans, "Apologies to the other leaders, I don't mean to speak for your cats, so please cut in if you have something to say, but right now we are at the edge of the Survival Clans abandoned territory, past it is rogue land. I need the fastest cats front and center and I need you all to run ahead as though the Dark Forest itself is chasing you. I need you to predict the most probable path of the water and run back here fo rus to prepare to stop it or redirect it."
Glowstar gave a nod of her head, "For those of you who volunteer, please, start running, come back and tell us what you find.

Primal Instinct
He agreed so easily, Funk E'tan was a little surprised. It was so much easier than he thought, like Sean just forgot who he was dealing with. Not that he was going to complain, it just let him calm down some. The Nemesis didn't even notice this hisses that came his way. "Great, I'll see you then." The only thing that stuck out to him was his eagerness, and the other's backpedal was ignored as Funk began making his way back up with the other leaders. When Summersolstice approached him, he gave her a brief nod and trying not to call her Burningstar like he was used to. "Not much. Just a little flame of a rumor I'm gonna step out." Funk smiled like everything was fine and they all might not experience a painful death by aliens. Like he wasn't planning to beat the living daylights out of a Sentinel. Though now he may have to let them back into their old home. It was fine at first, the League wasn't really using the ground. After tonight, things might be different. "What about you? How's Sunclan treating you?" An edge was still on his voice but he didn't think anything of it.
Sunclan and Primal Instinct
The warriors all listened to Glowstar speak and a few stepped forward. The small figure of Moonlitnocturne was shadowed by Lorelei Manina's. The hunter she-cat couldn't help but smile as she took off up the hill. Running made her feel so alive, as did the mischief that pricked at her paws. The Janus followed, surprisingly fast for one so short. His short flame point pelt was whipped by the wind, but he didn't notice. He only focused on running.
Summerclan and Winterclan
Somewhere up the hill, they waited. Though the pair was discontent about their decision, they couldn't back down now. There was no going back.
SunClan and NightClan Jetclaw spared a glance at her brother before she took off running as well. Skipstep maintaining his spot beside Littlestar for a moment before he brushed his muzzle against her and took off running, he knew he and Jetclaw were fast runners.
The tan and black she cat easily catching up Moonlitnocturne and Lorelei, she shortened her stride to keep pace with them to not overexert herself for now, blue eyes scanning around to look for trouble. Along with any signs of where the flood would go. Skipstep falling into step beside her.
Squirrelleap also gave chase to the group heading up the hill, though not amongst the fastest runners he was the fastest climber amongst NightClan and he imagined once they crested the hills and reached a point where climbing might be needed a cat who could get up high and get a good view would certainly be of use. So the brown tabby gave chase, even though he was a ways behind the main group.
SunClan
strawberrycupid Summersolstice shrugged. "It's all right. Unfortunately been through some trials, but SunClan themselves were not to blame." She said eyes narrowing as she surveyed the area. "It's concerning that not too long ago I once traveled through those lands and they were home to a clan," She flicked her tail in the direction of BrookClan's old territory. "Knowing that a flood was able to wipe out 3 groups like that... It's worrisome what a big one that threatens all of us looks like." Though the idea of redirecting the flow made sense, could they pull it off?
DayClan Rubyflame remained at Glowstar's side. "Once we find where the path is, we'll need to figure out how to redirect it. If there is higher ground with say large boulders or rocks, we could perhaps try a rockslide," She meowed. "Knock it into the water's path and then it would hopefully redirect the flood's direction."
Raspberrypaw ran up the hill, capable of keeping up with the older and more experienced cats. They would find the source of water that would flood into their territory, look for clues on how it would likely drag into their territory and run back. They could do this! Raspberrypaw fell into step with Squirrelleap, Skipstep, Jetclaw, Moonlitnocturne, and Lorelei Manina. As they ran further they could see a body of water up ahead
DAYCLAN
@ian
Glowstar watched the runners leave, hopefully they would be back soon, all the rest of them could do was scavenge, "Everyone else, look around. The land is soaking wet, mushy. Take note of the trees and rocks around you. When the runners come back and tell us the waters path we'll use the nature around us to not just block the flood, but redirect it into WaterClan the best we can."
Glowstar walked over to Gossamer Alessandra, "I don't know where the water will go, it might come from BrookClan's old territory, but it might enter through Renegade Regime. Your group will likely be the first territory to be hit. Even if we do stop these floods, you're underground and at risk for a cave in. I know about the tunnels that connect to every clans territory. Please, I don't mean to tell you how to command, but I'm practically begging you, have a scout go back to the Regime and send your veterans and tykes and herb supplies to DayClan. We're on the other side, even if we are all flooded there will be a better chance of survival. Please take this opportunity?"
Jetclaw's eyes narrowed when she saw the body of water. "Think that's going to be the source?" She asked voice clipped as she fought to speak against the pants of exertion.
"Possibly." Skipstep responded just as quickly.
Squirrelleap was unable to say anything the tom lagging a bit behind RAspberrypaw. But he gritted his teeth and kept going, pulling even with the apprentice again. He looked around to see any trees and upon spotting a big one surged forwards with a renewed bout of strength and then launched himself onto it, climbing up and up trying to get as high as possible to get a good view of this large body of water.
DayClan @ian Faith Rubyflame had long since heard the secret from Glowstar long ago, but she kept her voice down as she joined them. "If need be we could send Knightpaw or one of the other quick DayClan cats to help." She said, glad that Knightpaw was both quick and thus making her suggesting her son to go away from the possible danger a more logical option. "They'll know where to take them in DayClan that's the highest ground possible." She said.

Fallclan
Calamitystar felt his stomach sink almost as if someone had dropped a load of stones in it. His gaze swept across the abandoned territories and he fought a wince as memories of the torrential waters crashed down on him. The sound roared in his ears, but he simply stood there. It was like his paws couldn't come unglued. The last time he had seen the territories was before he joined Fallclan. He had found Splashpaw and they had gone to look for any survivors. Luckily, they found some kits, but the rest were gone. Later he would discover that a good many fled to Summerclan, but the feeling of being torn apart returned like an old wound sometimes. After many, many moments of staring, he tore his attention away and focused on the others.
Renegade Regime
Meepo's ears pricked as he overheard Glowstar and he side-scooted closer like an intrigued apprentice. Honestly, he probably looked like one with his little size.
When Autumngossamer had mentioned anyone 'close to him', Hystericplague had simply laughed. He may be the age of a young warrior, but he had lost all of his family, and he was unsure if they were even alive anymore, nor did he ever try to figure it out. He was only with Fallclan for convenience, and there was no one he cared about. He didn't bother explaining any of that, though, and anyone who would have heard probably would have questioned it as the medicine cat's eerie gaze fell, yet again, on Calamitystar much later. He made his way to the leader's side, not saying a word, but simply stood there.
Gossamer blinked as more than one cat came up to her. Of course, first to get her attention was the auburn fellow leader. Her lips curled slightly when the she-cat informed her of the potential destruction of the group that she was leading. It truly was of no concern to her if every cat in the Regime drown in one fell swoop; she had no attatchment to these cats, and really had only took control of the group because she could. But, she hid that expression rather quickly. Not that she particularly cared, but it was unbecoming of a leader to shrug off the impending doom of the felines she was supposed to lead.
Still, she wasn't just going to hand over resources. She was a dragon who had found a pile of gold, and the herb stocks were important, and she hadn't been paying attention at all to any of the things that had been happening up until this moment. It was more fun to be difficult.
"Bring them to DayClan, so you all can squander them if my group's territory is destroyed? Doesn't seem very fair to me to set the Rigatoni up for an easy conquest if the world does end," she mewed with a blink, before shrugging. Her eyes were narrowed a bit, but she glanced to several of her fellow Regime members. "The supplies and felines should be moved to avoid a cat soup, yes, but why does that mean you get them?" Her voice was so innocent, despite the fact she was just flat out antagonizing cats who probably shouldn't be antagonized. She then glanced at the other cat. "Assistance from younger cats like whoever you just said could be helpful though, because of the whole small build thing."
Faith @ian DayClan Rubyflame bristled. "Glowstar's offering it as a suggestion, she's hardly the sort to take advantage of cats of the regime, especially ones who might be displaced by the flood." But she forced her fur to lie flat. This was a new commander after all, unfamiliar with Glowstar. "But the mountain ridge in the middle of all the groups could be an alternative... though you'd then be stuck there." She muttered. "Could go through DayClan territory to Twolegplace if you'd rather go to no man's land without risk of being stranded on all sides by water. And Knightpaw and a few other apprentices can offer their assistance."

Fallclan
Calamitystar watched with a little bit of sad humor as the group of cats bickered before feeling the presence of a particularly grumpy feline at his side. He couldn't help but feel warm at the thought of Hystericplague being the slightest bit worried about him. "Awwww hey buddy!" The ebony tom purred and leaned his head over to the side to rest it on the medicine cat's. "Hows it goin? Have you made any new friends?" Even though his voice was giddy, he seemed just a bit...sad underneath.
Regime
Meepo sat there for a moment with his mouth wide open in shock at the Commander's response, but then again, should he really be surprised? His whiskers almost twitched in amusement at her words. It was all a game to her, but so far she had played it...somewhat correctly? Maybe?
"Oh yes, you know me," Hystericplague rolled his eyes slightly. "Making friends wherever I go." He didn't even complain when Calamitystar rested his head on his, which was a rarity. He heard the sadness in his voice, and he had explored enough before coming to Fallclan to know where they were. It was easy enough to fit the pieces together, especially after Calamitystar's previous outburst. "If being called ugly and getting told I have a funny voice is how you make friends, that is." He paused, tilting his head slightly so he could meet the leader's eyes. "Do I? Do I have a funny voice?" he asked, pretending as if he actually cared about the answer. Calamitystar needed something to cheer him up, and for some reason Hystericplague thought that he should do it.
Tatteredraven stood at Calamitystars side, her ears twitching as she tried to separate each conversation that was echoing around her, it was the voice of Glowstar that was the loudest, asking for volunteers to run ahead. "I'm going with them to scout ahead." She whispered to her leader before taking off to join the others up ahead, her small frame and long legs carried her quickly, only stopping when she had reached the others.
Winterclan
Stormyblizzard stayed a pace or two back, her eyes resting on the Fallclan leader periodically, noticing the sadness beneath his words she stepped up to take the place where Tatteredraven had been. "Hello, Calamitystar, how have you been settling into your new position?" She knew he hadn't been leader for long, but he seemed to be holding up well.

Fallclan
"Weeeeeeellllll." He started with a lil wink and a goofy grin. "I would call it a...mastered voice. YEAH. A MASTERED one." His whiskers twitched in amusement and for a moment he forgot his woes. "I mean, if you think about it, doesn't everyone have a funny voice? Maybe your voice is normal and everyone else's voice is funny."
Cal's ears pricked at Tatteredraven's meow and he nodded. "Be careful. It's really soggy out there!" He called before his attention transitioned to the Winterclan crowned. He couldn't help but blush slightly as she spoke to him and he shuffled his paws. "Well, uh, it's been alright I think. At least, I hope so. I'm pretty lucky because I have the best medicine cat in all the clans. My only complaint is that there are not more squirrels in Fallclan." A chuckle escaped his muzzle and he tilted his head. "So, Stormyblizzard, how is life treating you? I've always wondered how Winterclan fares in the... uh winter?"
