SUNCLAN "Suit yourself" Littlestar shrugged moving forward to join her clan, "just don't expect me to sing along with you. No one wants to hear that" she chuckled shaking her head slightly.
"Welcome, Glowstar, Littlestar" Flamingstar mewed, her voice tight with forced kindness as the two leaders padded in, joined by their clans. Her eyes drifted from the two leaders until they rested on Kotori. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him. He looked out of place. Perhap she should go over and welcome him? No. That would make her seem suspicious. Or would it? I mean, he was a guest here. She should welcome him the same as she had done with everyone else. She flicked her gaze back to the two leaders, "please help yourself to the food." She mewed to them as she began to walk toward Kotori, voice was a little rushed and she was obviously distracted.
She approached Kotori, anxiety rising in her chest. Would he want to talk to her after their meeting? Did this look suspicious? "Kotori" she greeted with a nervous smile. "I'm glad you could make it."
His anxious expression sank into a slow smile, making her way towards Littlstar and Glowstar was Flamingstar. She was so perfect, the way she put on that innocent mask of hers. She was like water that looked shallow, inviting, but if you stepped too close to her you would drown. He wouldn't mind drowning in those eyes though. Her attention turned to him and for a moment he was happy to share a moment with her, but as she neared he realized that this was a mistake. He had important news to share, but he should have waited, the news wasn't going to change whether she knew now or later. He'd be lying if he said the news wasn't an excuse to see her at a party. He pretended for a moment to look the other way and then notice her coming by, a passive smile came and went by his lips, "I had some news for you, but I didn't realize you were a party animal. I can come back later," Kotori said as coolly as he possibly could. After all it was true that he left the gathering early and did not hear her announce any festivity, but he definitely heard word about there being a party today and decided to swing by for that reason.
"No!" She mewed a little too loudly. She flattened her ears in embarrassment and felt hot under her fur. "I mean, please, stay for the party. We can talk afterwards." She was kicking herself inwardly for how dumb she sounded. This wasnt like her. She was mean and powerful but now she was acting like a star struck goof ball.
Kotori looked startled, but recomposed, "I'm glad you said that cause I was kind of scared of looking like a loser for leaving the biggest end of the year party," Kotori admitted with a brief shy smile. His gaze moved around the perimeter, "Pretty amazing you get to live here, I don't say this often, but honestly your clan looks really cozy compared to well honestly every other clan I've ever seen and I've definitely seen them all."
Despite what others assumed he didn't hate Renegade Regime, he just felt that some of the cats there were bad and things could be led better. He missed the way the darkness closed in around him and the straight forward paths, he liked the freedom, but in the league the forest grew too freely and no one tended to care to make any paths. You had to tear down branches, crawl under roots, and squeeze past brambles just to make it anywhere. The place was overdue for a wild fire to clear the place out, but given how damp the rain made the different locations it was impossible for that to happen. In NightClan the night felt cozy and the trees all seemed huddled into one another making distinct paths for cats to be able to walk into. It seemed so much more peaceful. His mind reeled back to what was in front of him, why did he even tell her that? He wanted to say something more slick than that, whatever. Now she knew she liked her home, it wasn't like that was a bad thing to say.
Beetleflight nodded, happily taking the mistletoe and then proceeding to try and hang it up. He stumbled, not quite tall enough. "Uh... might need someone taller." He mumbled a bit sheepishly as he strained to hang it up.
"Nonsense!" duskwing, Beetleflight's mother marched over, hobbling a bit on her bad leg. "Here, I'll crouch down son you get on top and that should give you enough of a boost."
Beetleflight felt his pelt grow hot at his mother needing to step in and assist. But he quickly did as she suggested. Duskwing crouched down and he hopped onto her back and put up the mistletoe. "There!"
Faith Skypaw wasn't able to see her sister's dance moves, but she could hear the whirlwind of steps and the sounds of her sister getting down. She let out a purr of amusement, it was nice that after all the chaos and their par-Soaringbird and Rasputin, being banished. That Raspberrypaw was still able to have fun and be happy.
Her head turned towards where she could detect the strong smell of herbs, and her expression fell a little. She wondered if Turbulentsea would find Blazepaw well enough to come out and have some fun too... If he wasn't still struggling after what had happened.
Faithracer Fierypaw huffed. The black and ginger tortoiseshell she cat wanted to be bitter. Wanted to just sit there and be angry about Flamingstar and what she'd done to her aunt. But... Seeing her cousins. (It didn't matter that they technically weren't blood related actually, they were still her cousins in her mind) seeing them both fairly happy made Fierypaw hold back her vitriol. She didn't want to spoil their fun and happiness because she despised Flamingstar and how she'd wormed her way into leadership, and acted like she was right in keeping it. Burningstar would always be leader in Fierypaw's mind.
But sitting by her cousins and whining was not a good plan.
However, seeing Glowstar and littlestar, perhaps there was a good plan.
Fierypaw got up and trotted in the direction of Glowstar and Littlestar.
"Excuse me! Can I ask you about my mother?" She asked immediately.
SpotFaith Bleakwind had been engaging in brief conversation with Squirrelleap when he noticed Flamingstar looking at a black and white tom he was unfamiliar with. Bleakwind could hear Squirrelleap talking beside him about a great mice nest he'd found with his son the other day. But Bleakwind didn't hear him.
His eyes narrowed despite himself. Flamingstar had clearly not been amongst the favored at the gathering. So what was this toms deal.
"Right, Squirrelleap," Bleakwind said, cutting the tom off before he continued and Bleakwind continued to ignore him. Better he find receptive company rather than Bleakwind who was half listening at best. "I'm going to go grab a bite to eat, how bout you go tell Stealthclaw all about your adventures with Umbrahound?" He suggested.
Squirrelleap seemed surprised for a moment, before he followed Bleakwind's gaze and he chuckled.
"careful you don't go and get possessed by the green eyed beast, it can get ugly." Squirrelleap warned before he walked away.
Bleakwind squinted after him, 'green eyed beast' surely Squirrelleap wasn't trying to imply he was jealous. He scoffed. He and Flamingstar were merely friends, he just didn't like the looks of that black and white tom hanging around her!
(Omg! Bleakwind is sooo cute with how jealous he is <3 Im loving this love triangle!)
@faith "Oh, well thank you" she smiled, shuffling her paws nervously. "I am glad your staying! Hopefully things dont get too crazy tonight." She gave a sheepish smile, hoping the party would go smoothly and no fights would break out. "Um, are you hungry?" She asked, unaware that Bleakwind was watching her be low key flirty to the mysterious tom. She liked Bleakwind but she wasnt even sure he liked her back. They had never really discussed their feelings. However, now that Kotroi had come into her life, she wasn't sure what she wanted. Kotori was mysterious and dangerous like she was. Bleakwind was, well, softer.
Jetclaw Echomelody covered her muzzle with her paw to hold back the laugh that wanted to escape due to the embarrassing look Beetleflight was giving when his mother offered to help. "Thank you, both of you. It looks beautiful! Perfect spot!" the tuxedo she-cat purred to Duskwing and Beetlelflight. "I think thats it for the decorating!"
(Oh my gosh, I love Squirrelleap, he just wants to brag about his adventures!! xD Also I am invested in this love triangle)
NIGHTCLAN
Raspberrypaw stopped dancing and began to pant heavily, PHEW. That was a lot of dancing. But her mom would have wanted her to dance, she had been working on that dance before she even knew NightClan was going to have a party. She scrunched up her nose, no one was there to notice! She spotted Skypaw. No one that could see was there to notice! "I need to get a drink," Raspberrypaw said walking away or more dragging her back legs as he front legs just barely moved forward, it wasn't until she started moving her muscles that she realized how heavy her limbs felt. When did that happen? When she got her drink she looked up to see Squirrelleap, "Awesome party right!?" she yelled above all the chatter, which actually came out louder than all the people talking around them.
PRIMAL INSTINCT
Kotori's ear angled just slightly as he looked over his shoulder at Bleakwind and Glowstar, he could feel their stares and wondered if the two had a connection or if they happened to just both notice him. Either way he didn't want to be in Glowstar's line of sight like this. "Honestly this is the first really cool thing to happen this year so if things do turn wild I think we'll be alright so long as we got each others back." Although his exotic green gaze was fixated on the party it wasn't the crowd or the food that was the first cool thing to happen it was her. She was broken in all the same places he was, all while effortlessly making broken look perfect. He was addicted to her voice like a catchy song, the color of her eyes was his new favorite color, AND of course they were super good at being partners in crime. Well, sure that hadn't happened yet, but it would! Eventually... "Yeah, let's go get something to eat, there are eyes watching us," He said, deciding that would clear his mind. He tended to obsess. Badly... Not this time!
(Squirrelleap telling stories is literally reminding me of Jensen at conventions telling stories about stuff. Like the time he kicked in a door XD that's Squirrelleap when he's telling a story, and yes love triangle is great XD)
NightClan Squirrelleap had caught the tail end of Raspberrypaw's dance and he chuckled. "Yeah, it's pretty nice. Nice dancing by the way, didn't catch all of it, but it looked pretty good. You need some help getting back on all four paws?" He asked lowering his muzzle so he didn't have to raise his voice too much for her to hear. And ready to pull her up by her scruff if she needed help getting back on her feet.
///---///
Bleakwind hadn't realized his claws were digging into the ground before he made up his mind and marched forwards, limbs stiff. StarClan give him strength. "Flamingstar," He meowed before she could slip away with this other tom, "I apologize for not being able to be in your presence until now, hunting kept me." He said coming up on her other side eyeing Kotori. "Who's this? I don't believe I've had the pleasure." His tone turned sharp, but still polite.
"Oh yeah, just," She huffed a few times, "Hold on," She panted and then stuck her tongue up before springing up with rejuvenated excitement and then lying back down nicely, "Okay you can pull me back up," She said even though she just demonstrated she could get up on her own, but apparently was going to allow Squirrelleap to pull her up.
PRIMAL INSTINCT
"I'm Cowface," Kotori replied, "I'm from a pretty distant clan though, you've probably never heard of us."
Flamingstar was surprised to see Bleakwind join them. "Its no p-" she went to speak but Bleakwind was eyeing Kotori and then he asked who this was. Before Flamingstar could introduce them, Kotori introduced himself as Cowface. She almost laughed but held it in. Perhaps he didnt want Bleakwind knowing exactly who he was. "Um, Cowface, this is Bleakwind. He is my friend." She introduced.

For Oakpaw / Jadie
Firewind realized he may have overstepped his bounds. "Look, I'm sorry I upset you," he meowed. "That wasn't my intention at all. I was only curious because the only religion I know is that of StarClan." He took one step back to give them more space. "What you told me sounded very foreign to me and surprised me. I meant no harm. We can talk about something else if you like." He didn't want to be the cause of any trouble during this peaceful gathering of sorts. Perhaps he wasn't so good at gathering intelligence on other clans after all.
Oakpaw realized he had come across a little harshly and that had not been his intention. He smiled and gave Firewind a peaceful nudge, hoping to deescalate the conversation, "Sorry man, I didn't mean to sound so moody about it. Religion is always a touchy subject. We started on the wrong foot, how about we---" "Oakpaw!" Cypresspaw hissed, shouldering her way between Firewind and Oakpaw like the killjoy she was, "We need to go." "What do you mean? We just got here." He replied with a little attitude. He looked her dead in the eyes and said, "We haven't even danced yet." "Oh as if we were going to. SunClan and DayClan just got here, you didn't say they would be coming. We are the only MoonClan cats here, everyone else are allies. Look, we brought a rabbit, we talked..." At the mention of SunClan, Oakpaw turned his gaze to the entrance and totally tuned out his sister as her rant continued. Sure enough, he saw the bright pelts of his Clan's enemy stream in, and boy were there a lot of them. SunClan was more than twice the size of MoonClan these days and it made the rival Clan all the more dangerous. He turned back to Firewind and Cypresspaw, "Hey, I just remembered I have to do something, Cypresspaw, Firewind, Firewind, Cypresspaw, I'm sure you two will get along." With that, the tabby-and-white tom padded away.
Cypresspaw stood there and fumed, not saying a single word to Firewind for a few minutes, her tail-tip erratically twitching back and forth. Oakpaw was ditching her again? With a stranger? Wait, wasn't Firewind the deputy of this Clan? She turned her evergreen gaze to the tom standing next to her and the color drained from her face. She wished she had some of her brother's courage, but at least she could say she had better manners. "Ahem... ah, yes, I am Cypresspaw. From MoonClan. Oakpaw's sister." She stammered a bit, not sure where to take the conversation. She was about to ask Firewind to introduce himself but remembered he had already been introduced, "This party is... nice..."
Oakpaw combed the crowd for the familiar pelt of Tinypaw. It hadn't been more than a week or two since they met on the border and he was hoping to check in on her, see how she was doing, you know, totally normal stuff for him to want to know. The problem was that there were just too many cats packed in closely. It was very difficult for a large tom like Oakpaw to navigate. SunClan had already dispersed throughout the camp and he still did not see her, maybe she did not come. On a hunch, he decided to check by the fresh-kill pile, specifically were the snakes were sorted out from the rest. It was surprisingly empty about this area. He frowned at the snake corpses. Gross.

Jadie
Firewind stood in silence as the two apprentices spoke. So MoonClan cats really don't like SunClan or DayClan cats. He stored this bit of information in his head. While he was dwelling on this, Oakpaw had introduced him to his sister and dismissed himself. He was left standing next to another strange apprentice who apparently felt as awkward as he did.
"It is," he replied to Cypresspaw. "Is your brother always that abrupt? I was just starting to talk to him and he ran off. I hope it wasn't something I said." He was still concerned about offending Oakpaw.
"Not really, I don't know what his problem is." Cypresspaw replied honestly, her rage coming back once more and, for a moment, she forgot who she was talking to, "He is never so insistent to come to these little parties you other Clans like to throw. For some reason he really wanted to come to this one."

SUNCLAN Tinypaw muttered a curse under her breathe, seeing Oakpaw waiting where the snakes were supposed to be dropped off. Of course that is where he would have looked for her. She turned and gave the snake to one of the other SunClan apprentices as the puffed out their chest trying to make the catch look more impressive. She slunk back into the shadows, but something about the disappointment on his face caught her attention. Surely it wasn't because he hadn't seen her yet? They had only met once, and even if she was the cause it was probably because he intended to embarrass her in front of the other clans. No way. No way was she walking into this one. Jadie
Littlestar looked down at the young NightClan apprentice offering a kind smile "What is it that you would like to know?" Jetclaw
Oakpaw broke into a grin when he saw the SunClan apprentice and padded toward her. The large brown tom was very hard to miss; his sudden approach was sure to draw some eyes. Upon reaching his target, the MoonClan apprentice crouched down and put his nose right up to Tinypaw's healing leg wound without so much of a "hello." It did not seem infected or anything. In fact, he could hardly even see it, would have never even noticed it, had he not known it was there. "Glad to see you recovered from that snake bite. And you thought you were going to bleed out..." He chucked, "How are you doing?"

SUNCLAN Despite her best efforts, she had been spotted. It wasn't hard to realize when she felt his eye lock onto hers. She tried to play it cool, despite the heat that she could feel rising to her face. She blinked, scoffing and wrinkling her nose as he pressed against her leg "Thank you for your concern, but as you can see I am fine" The last she needed was her mother thinking that she was hanging out with MoonClan cats in her spare time. She was already enough of a disappointment without others thinking that she was working with the shade-walkers. She would have retreated, but the cold stone of the cenote had her cornered
"That's all I get? I pretty much saved your life." Oakpaw joked, pulling his face away from Tinypaw's leg, but still staying low to the ground. He did not particularly want Cypresspaw seeing him. He could only imagine the interrogation he would get on the walk back to MoonClan if she saw him with a SunClan apprentice, "I thought you'd thank me again or something. You're lucky I'm so forgiving."

SUNCLAN
"Yes thank you for grabbing a stick for me" she replied, defiantly meeting his gaze. She couldn't admit that he had saved her life, not here. Not in front of all her clan-mates. No one else would really understand that had been exactly what she had needed in that situation. He may have saved her once, but that didn't mean she had to act all friendly with him here.
