"Then come along." Even if he tried, Moonlitnocturne would counter. He always did. Swipes with sharp claws and bites like a snake. Just taking a chunk of his brother's fur out was worth whatever punishment he got.
"Oh fine." Contaminatekit pouted, the smell already starting to bore her as she traced circles in Bloodyrondo's paint. "No fun for poor Contaminatekit." She felt him stiffen, but couldn't differentiate the smell of the opossum over anything else.
Moonlit's ears tilted as the scraping sound of skittering caught his attention. Even in his travels, he hadn't seen one of these. A ghastly white with beady black eyes totally focused on Bloody. When Discordantkit jumped off of him, he ran after her. Though the aggressive footsteps made the floor beneath then creak.
(I was thinking the opossum runs off and everyone finds a new passage to the tunnels xD)
The opossum screeched at the two cats approaching it then quickly darted off into the darkest corner of the room. Discordantkit was somehow purring as she continued to chase it even though the vermin was three or four times larger than she was, "What is that thing? Is it a ghost?" She asked and disappeared into the dark corner as well. It was very, very silent as the creature had either stopped running or gotten away and the little calico's pawsteps were either to quiet to hear.
"Moonlit, you were supposed to keep her on your back, you moron!" Bloodyrondo hissed and gave chase as well, very nearly knocking Contaminekit off his own shoulders with a sudden burst of energy. He'd never seen a creature like that before but it did not seem all that dangerous given the fact that it ran from them. Still, not having eyes on his young half-sister was terrifying, especially since it would be all his fault if she got hurt or worse, "Discordantkit! Come back here!"
Meanwhile, Discordantkit had followed the opossum into a small gab in the floorboards. It was pitch black down here but the she-kit was fearless to a fault. When she heard the commotion up above she sighed. They were no fun, like seriously. She poked her head up through a kitten-sized hole - looking like a disembodied head - and called out, "I'm over here!"

"I don't know, but stay away from it!" Moonlitnocturne's command fell on deaf ears, each burst of energy matched by the creaking in the cabin getting worse. He couldn't help but move cautiously, every step felt like it was threatening to break through. He almost had her when Bloodyrondo spoke up, and his grab at her scruff missed. "Gee, I tried. You--" Moonlit started to growl, but was stopped as the whole house seemed to seize with Bloody's running. For as much as she could have tried to hang on, Contaminatekit wasn't ready and was flung off his shoulders and landed on the ground with a thud. He slowly approached Contaminatekit, but once he was close, the board underneath the two began to crack. Pressed under the Janus' weight, the other side was pried open. And then, out of confusion, fear or what else, Contaminatekit crawled under the gap. "Hey, Hey, No, Get back here Contaminatekit!!"
( I feel like we should just wrap up this RP in the next couple of replies :-) )
Bloodyrondo zeroed in on Discordantkit at the same time Contaminatekit fell off his back. Well, Moonlitnocturne was behind him, he would have to take care of their blind sister. The ginger tom grabbed the calico's head and pulled her up by her scruff a bit too roughly. She screamed in discomfort as she was scratched by a loose screw in the floorboards. A couple little drops of blood fell, while neither cat would really be able to see it, both could smell it.
"Discordantkit, did that thing bite you?!" Bloodyrondo said through a mouthful of kitten fur but all she did was squirm and try to break his grip. He threw her onto his back and felt needle-sharp claws dig into him but he was much more focused on getting out of here then scolding her right now. He squinted in the low light as he zeroed in on Moonlitnocturne's small frame and stubbed his paw against a broken floorboard, "Don't tell me you let her get under there??"

(yeah prolly)
This was not how Moonlitnocturne's Tuesday was supposed to go. Now halfway underneath the floorboards and halfway out, his paws began to burn from having all his weight on them. "This way Contaminatekit." He more asked, barely able to make out the charcoal bengal pelt in the dark.
"Why? What's in it for me?" If the kit realized she was in peril, she was great at playing dumb. The floor felt a little weird, and the musty smell was even stronger underneath here.
"You've got to be--" Moonlit almost spat, tail dropping to the floor. But if he went any further, he wasn't sure he'd be able to get the two of them out. "Uh... fine. I'll give you one of the twoleg treats if you get over here." A meager offering, but it was all he had with Bloodyrondo picking at him again. It seemed to work though, cause with a wag of her tail, Contaminatekit approached him. Pulling himself out of the gap, Moonlit managed to grab Contaminatekit and pull her out.
"That's enough adventure for the four of us today," Bloodyrondo asserted, tapping Moonlitnocturne on the shoulder with the tip of his tail then exiting the rotten cottage with added haste. All in all the place hadn't really been that bad - 'cept for that weird but harmless creature, of course - but it was most certainly not the place to take kits given how many small crevices there were for them tuck away into. It was a miracle that these two sisters had been found so quickly, given Discordantkit's knack for trouble and Contaminatekit's blindness.
"We were barely even in there! That's no adventure!" Discordantkit whined, but she was already relaxing, she was due a nap hours ago and this last excursion had taken all she had left in her. Bloodyrondo didn't even have time to reply before he heard her gentle snores.
"Let's get these two back to Foxbane before she skins us alive," Bloodyrondo said very quietly and began the trek back to camp without looking back to see if is brother was following.

Moonlitnocturne didn't let Contaminatekit out of his grasp, even with how much she was struggling against him. Squeaking something about how she wasn't done even as her movements began to slow, he tuned her out. Some skill or other he learned along the way, he followed Bloody out of the cottage. Really, he was surprised it held up as well as it did. And that Contaminate actually listened to him, even with a lie like that. Whatever, the slow breathing indicated that she had somehow worked herself to sleep. As his brother went ahead, Moonlit looked out at the horizon, wondering just what laid beyond it. But the soothed breaths of the kit he was carrying brought him back. Best not to get on Foxbane's bad side before getting out of here.
