Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Nikkopaw's tail flicked curiously as he walked a bit closer to Bloodyrondo as if he might be able to understand why he was the Sun God's chosen if he got a closer inspection of his face. Instead he found nothing obvious and sat back down, "Despite your judgment of me, I would never fall for a lady who is not in my clan, a cross clan relationship would be cruel especially to a she-cat. I paid attention to SunClan's introduction speech, any litter born with SunClan blood must be raised in SunClan," Nikkopaw said simply before adding, "I'm at this gathering to return back to SunClan, my missions complete so I suppose I'll see more of you whether you like my presence or not. Also stop acting like you're older than me, I got moons on you, I just skipped class and have poor posture is all," Nikkopaw said trying to gleam over why he was an apprentice for so long and why by appearance he looked shorter. For a moment as he talked there was a slight rhythm of amusement in the toms voice before retreating back to its typical monotone self. His ear twitched, likely still trying to ignore the Raspberrypaw comment.
Raspberrypaw was a mosquito, a nuisance who could only live by annoying others. She sought to live life to the fullest and almost walked into death everyday. He stalked death so bad he apparently at a restraining order. They couldn't be less alike. Partners in crime was as close as they were literally ever getting.
Bloodyrondo did not quite expect that. So far Nikkopaw hadn't really reacted to his taunts, in fact the only thing he knew about him was that he was annoyed by Raspberrypaw, so the Priest Promised had zeroed in on that weakness since it was really the all he had. Now Nikkopaw was addressing him like they were equals or something and declaring that he wanted to join SunClan. Bloodyrondo knew he should be happy to welcome another believer, he could even take credit for converting a new member, but he had a natural dislike of this tom and he just could not get past it. What in the Sun god's name was going on?
His first reaction when Nikkopaw stepped closer was to back away, but he thought better of it and held his ground. A sharp eye would have noticed him jerk away just a fraction of a millimeter, though. There was a lot to process in Nikkopaw's words, but after a pause, the ginger tom replied with fake enthusiasm,"Uh, SunClan welcomes you, Nikkopaw. I'm overjoyed that you are choosing to follow the Sun's path. But... you said something about a mission... what do you mean by that?"
The Nemesis just blinked as Alessandra went on. His lip twitched a little as she mentioned Raijin losing his seat from a bet. That was just like him, and the one way Funk didn't see him ending up in prison. From what he had heard, he figured Shule would have cracked first and killed him. At least he was alive, Funk was not done with him yet. She was a little fascinating, reminded him almost too much of his brother Jazz. Best to keep them separate. He nodded to Innocentia, briefly appreciative of her random defense as he sat up a little taller. Even if it was unknown when he'd get it. he appreciated at least one proxy sticking up for him. "It's fascinating how Lady Luck wants things to go. I'm interested to see where the Regime goes under your leadership, not that you could do less than Raijin."
His expression panned as Sean approached them. He was ever needling, the bengal found himself getting tired of it. "Sean, I see you're as one-note as ever." Now, Funk E'tan was not as offended as he was sure the girls he liked were. They tended to run the gambit of larger than life and fairly murderous. He did not have a problem. And while they could defend themselves far better than he could, he had to poke the hornet's nest. This was his potential brother in law. It was his job, his given duty. His desire to really get under his skin.
"Well, you must relate to the Blind Protector often. As it looked like it arranged that atrocious rock collection of yours." He climbed up the tree as he spoke, holding back snickers as he listened to the other leaders give reports. "The League is doing fine. Just vibin'."
Fierypaw was not happy about being ignored now that Nikkopaw had gone to speak to Bloodyrondo now. "He's probably talking about his mission to protect you from death or something. Anyways, I was asking you about my mother? How's she doing?" She asked shouldering her way back over to Nikkopaw and Bloodyrondo, addressing the Priest Promised.
"He was telling you that joke too, Fierypaw?" Bloodyrondo cringed, once again finding himself judging Nikkopaw. He did not seem like the crazy type, but you could never tell these days. He shrugged it off and tried to focus on the original point of his conversation before he had the chance to be interrupted again,"Oh yes, Sunset. She seems to be doing better. Sunset and I don't really talk much, but I can say that she seems to really be settling in well at SunClan. We hope that she passes Initiation and can stay with us, it's coming up here pretty soon. Oh! And her kits are very cute and doing great as well."
In that moment light shined past the clouds and into the gathering like a laser beam. The light contained such an energy few cats could look at it without the light source forcing cats to close their eyes or turn their heads out of the way. From the light came a thousand voices, but finally a chorus of them arose in unison, "Unfathomable darkness follows the 10 clans that," Their voices distorted, it sounded like steam or high pitching screaming escaping from the light before the unified voice continued, "bound to desecration. Vanquish the flood of evil or dawns light will be an era of shadows." The voices stopped in a moment the light went out and the moon was gone.
Nightclan Flamingstar's eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the light. The voices hit her ears, causing a panic to rise in her chest. It was a warning. Or perhaps an omen.
Echomelody was deep in conversation with Beetleflight when the sudden bright light caught her attention. She cut off mid sentence and stared wide eyed at the strange light. Her heart raced as the voices rang through the clearing, giving them their warning. Was it because Flamingstar had insulted the other leaders during a truce? What did their ancestors mean?
Springclan Dovewish took a few steps back when the light appeared, a surprise gasp escaping from her jaws.
Fawnheart, who had been quite silent through the entire gathering, perked her ears as the light appeared. Being a medicine cat, strange phenomenons didn't startle her. She listened to the voices, trying to interpret what their message was about but it was uncertain. Their ancestors always did have a strange way of telling them that they were in trouble. The medicine cats may need to have a meeting this half-moon.
Funk E'tan's attention broke away from Sean, almost completely forgetting about their little squabble or the gathering as light poured from the dark sky. Despite it, or probably because of it, he made his way over to Glowstar, shielding her like he was gonna stand a chance against whatever was going to happen. The voices spoke like a chorus, all at once and joined. It reminded him of the demon in the basement, and if it weren't for the light, he'd be convinced it was. Just as quickly as it was there, it was gone. Leaving him slightly dumbfounded, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle. There was no way it was actually Starclan right? His proxies set up a good trick, he was impressed.
The dusty leader sat in silence, opting to survey the cats below him instead of partaking in the conversation with the other leaders, noting his own clan mates with quiet concern. Just then, a blinding light caused the Springclan leader to jump to his paws, his narrowed eyes widening as he turned towards the sudden intrusion. A distortion of voices rained from the night sky in a mess of unintelligible noises before finding unison at last in the form of a warning. Thistlestar stared up in a mixture of wonder and fear as the voices proceeded before suddenly vanishing as quickly as they came. A wave of lightheadedness slapped the dusty tom as he realized too late he had stopped breathing throughout the celestial moment. Thistlestar's mind began to reel immediately as his mind replayed the eerie words. Darkness, the 10 clans, desecration, flood- The tom felt his heart drop. A flood. Memories of the Survival Clans and their fate were still vivid in the leader's mind. As difficult as the addition of cats were for Springclan, it was far worse for those who came searching for sanctuary. The looks of despair, hopelessness and fear in every survivor they found. Concerns of the safety and well-being of their families, loved ones and clan mates evident as survivors watched the camp entrance daily for new comers or in their offerings to partake in patrols. It was heartbreaking to say the least and that was just as a witness. It torn at him too much to imagine the same fate for his clan mates.
The Springclan leader took in the other leaders, his green eyes bouncing from leader to leader, ignoring the small chuckle that erupted near him from the rouge leader.
Poppypaw looked up at the light with wide bondi blue eyes, letting out a shriek. This was the first omen she had ever seen from StarClan and it was awesome. She looked from cat to cat with a shocked expression on her face and was unable to form words. Unfathomable darkness? Era of shadows? What did it all mean? It went way above her head, but she knew for sure that it was not good.
SUNCLAN Bloodyrondo (Priest Promised)
Bloodyrondo's eyes were drawn to the beam of light, as were everyone else's, and he felt sick to his stomach. While he did not follow StarClan, it was definitely a foreboding message, and he immediately looked toward the assorted medicine cats to see if he could pick out Autumngossamer from the crowd. Surely the Sun god had warned her of this? And if he hadn't, what did that mean?
