Four Traits: Traditional Secluded Honorable Religious

Hidden away in a winter wonderland, deep within the tunnels in the mountain, rests a group of cats who are happy to be secluded in their own little world. CrystalClan is made up of religious, traditional and honorable cats. They are long furred with large builds. Eyes blue like ice or yellow like certain areas of snow! There are traces of green eyes within their midst, but rare and hardly seen; just like them outside of their mountain home. CrystalClan is built upon the belief of two gods, the Northern God of Life and the Lunar Goddess of Death. The two gods are their world, giving them blessings in many shapes and forms. From the crystals that are part of the foundation of their clan to the stars in the sky, the moon who alights the night and the northern lights that dance pass the mountain. Their home is hidden away, just how they like it. Those who dare find theirselves in the land of CrystalClan, should be warned. They take prisoners, and hardly have mercy upon them.

Positions + Descriptions
Sovereign -> The sovereign is the leader of the clan, and have 3 lives gifted to them. One by the god of life, one by the goddess of death, and one by the ancestors. The sovereign is the only one that speaks to the Northern Lights God, and is the one who makes the main decisions for CrystalClan. Their main goal is to make sure the cats under their care are happy and cared for. The sovereign elps the Witch/Warlock with burials as a celebration of life.

Heir -> The heir is the deputy of the clan, the cat in training to follow in the Sovereigns steps. This cat will be taught how to spread love and happiness to the cats in the clan, and to communicate with the Northern Lights God. The heir helps with managing the clan and taking care of the clan

Witch/Warlock -> The witch/warlock is the medicine cat of the clan, and has 3 lives gifted to them. One by the god of life, one by the goddess of death, and one by the ancestors. The witch handles the care and collection of the crystals, heals the clan, and converses with the Lunar Goddess. The witch/warlock handles burials with the Sovereign with the role of celebrating death and where that cat will be going.

Pupil -> The pupil is the medicine cat apprentice of the clan, learning the ways of the Witch/Warlock. They help with the collection and handling of the crystals.

Knights -> The knights are the three most elite warriors of clan, and each of the knights heads a division of warriors. The knights are each given a title: The Knight of Offence, The Knight of Defense, and The Knight of Hunting.The three knights are given missions by the sovereign and decide who to delegate the missions to within their division. The knights are choosen by the soeverign from amoungst the highest ranking memebers of each division, after the previous knight is unable to uphold their duties.

Warriors -> similar to warriors in the other clans, CrystalClan warriors are trained in certain aspects to provide for the clan. One group is under the Knight of Offense, another the Knight of Defense and the last group is under the Knight of Hunting.
---->Defense Division-> Warriors in the defense division, and defense specialist. Their main concern is the protection of the camp and those inside of it.
---->Offense Division -> The warriors in the offense division are the first out in battle. They are offense specialists, the cats of war. They start and end wars with the Sovereign as their leader into battle
---->Hunting -> warriors in the hunting division are experts are finding food for the clan. The know the best strategies and places to hunt, and handle the care of the storage room and the food inside it. While, they don’t fight for or defend the clan, they provide for it with substance.

Students -> students are cats that have been accepted into one of the three divisions, but have not yet earned their first merit crystal. These cats have the suffix paw at the end of their name, like apprentices in other clans. The students work hard to prove themselves within their division, and are always accompanied by more seinor members of the division while out on patrol. Their main job is to learn, grow, and work towards their first merit crystal.

Citizens ->Citizens are members of the clans that are to be protected and are not expected to fight. This includes the mothers, young, and ancients.
---->Mothers - pregnant and nursing mother of young, they hold this title as long as their kits need them and then are returned to their post within their division
---->Young - Cats that are to young to be apprentices and still rely on their mothers for food and protection
---->Ancients - elders of the clan or those who are disabled, they are the storykeepers, the tellers of legends and myths of their clan, passing on the information they’ve learned through life and their own Ancients
---->Prisoners - unable to take mates or have kits, practically slaves, do the household chores like cleaning, prisoners of war trespassers and more

Religion

Based upon spirits/ancestral worship with the God of Life and the Goddess of Death

The northern lights are a visual representation of the God of Life, with the crystals as blessing from said god to the cats. (explains the main different types available). The God of Life has given them the gifts of healing, crystals, and offers guidance to the Witch/Warlock in times of prophecy, love, and all things good. He blessing females with kits and the ability to nurse them.

The moon represents the Goddess of Death. She watches over the stars (those who’ve died), blesses those who tend to the graves of the deceased, and offers guidance to the Sovereign in times of war/chaos/crisis (more connected to the leader). She destroys the spirits of those who are evil/unworthy (meaning they can’t be used as messengers and basically cease to exist)

The rest of the clan receive guidance from the two gods through the Sovereign and the Witch/Warlock

Spirits are worshiped more as a means of honoring those who’ve passed before them. They hold no weight besides as messengers of the gods and are allowed to visit during the Festival of the Stars

Code of the Night Sky

1.) Honor thy parents, Ancients, and Keepers of Faith (Sovereign and Witch/Warlock)

2.) Feed the young and nursing before oneself, for they are the life of the clan and are blessed by the Northern God

3.) Your home is sacred. Protect it and fight for it with all you have. Even if this means your life must be lost.

4.) Kill only what is needed to feed the clan. Send thanks to the Northern God and the Lunar Goddess for your success

5.) The whole clan must stand vigilance on the nights the Lunar Goddess must disappear to rest. No words shall be spoken and no battles fought without the Goddess of Death to guide the dead.

6.) Take prisoner those who trespass, betray, dishonor, and steal from the clan. Only with the blessing of the God of Life through the Sovereign may they be taken as full members of the clan.

7.) Lost kits who seek a home, may find life within the clan’s borders. No abandoned, lost, or sickly kit may be left for dead. All shall be welcomed into the warmth of CrystalClan, blessed be by the Northern God.

8.) Do not forget those who have passed before you. They once provided for the clan and deserve respect. Respect and honor them as you do the Lunar Goddess.

9.) Do not murder out of defense. The Northern God has blessed us with life and it should not be taken without care. The Lunar Goddess will punish the Evil Ones who kill unnecessarily.

10.) To leave the clan is to forsake your faith, family, and future. Choose wisely where you shall stand in the eyes of Gods and your ancestors.

Crystals
They are used for many things within the clan such as identification of rank, healing, and merit points earned.
Each cat of the clan can be seen wearing a few crystal. One main crystal representing their rank, a a few small crystals to represent their merit points.
The Sovereign handles the changing of merit crystals and ranking crystals. Cats receive a different crystal based on where they are within the merit point system and a crystal representing their rank.
The Witch/Warlock handles the mining, collection, and the keeping of all crystals. Only they and their apprentice know the location within the tunnels and how to handle the collection of the crystals.
When a cat passes away, their necklace of crystals are placed around their gravestone.

Agate - mental health stabilizer, used in meditations and mental illnesses
Amber - found around the nursery and nursing queens and acts as a booster for milk production, used with broken bones as well
Bloodstone - removes toxins and poisons from the bond
Jasper - strength, nighthmares,
Lepidolite - stress, emotional, usde in mediations
Fluorite - inflammation and pain reducer
Howlite - calming effect, used in meditations
Garnet - stimulates the metabolism, used in individuals who have no appetite or may have been starving. Used with digestion
Jade - pain reliever, mostly for joints
Lapis Lazuli - lung issues, such as asthma or difficulties breathing, vomiting
Hematite - cleansing of the blood and/or infection, and heart issues. May be worn by one who has chronic heart issues

Merit System
Merits are awards are distributed to any warrior that has performed exceptionally. The award comes in the form of a star, which is carved by the Svoereign onto a stone table. There are three stone tablets that are displayed right outside of the Sovereigns den to represent the three divisions of warriors. Merit points can be given to an individual warrior, or to group of warriors from different divisions that worked together. Merit points continue to accumulate throughout the year, as the three divisions try to out compete one another. On the first of January the winners are announced, and the winning division receives various perks and bragging rights for the rest of the year. The tablets are then placed in the memorial tunnel, and new ones are selected by the knights to represent their division.For every 20 merit points a warrior earns for their division, they are allowed to wear a smaller round crystal. The smaller crystals help form a necklace around the warrior's neck. The more crystals a warrior wears, the more respected they are within their division. The smaller crystals are returned to the witch/warlocks at the same time the tablets are placed into the memorial tunnel.

Festival of Stars
Day of the Dead-like. Honors those lost. Paint made from plants are used to cover faces with markings of rank and family crests. Song, music, plays, and more are devoted to those who’ve passed that year and even before that.

Lunar Moon
a festival/day that honors the Lunar Goddess and her protecting of those who’ve passed, will pass, her protection from the evil ones (cats who were evil and died), and her help in battles

Day of Entrapped Lights
a festival/day celebrating all the Northern Lights God has done for them such as the blessing of the healing stones, the rest of the gems, love, happiness and wisdom that he grants to the living and the ability of nursing and birthing kits

Festival of New Beginnings
a festival celebrating the new year and the youth in the clan. The previous winning division gets to chose the first contest of the year. This celebration takes place in New-leaf

The Division Exam
The division exam take place once every moon. The clan's young that are old enough to become students gather just outside the camp's entrance to be assessed by the three knights. They are given an offensive task, a defensive task, and a hunting task to complete. These exams are observed by the three knights who carefully watch over the proceedings. After the three tasks have been completed, each potential canidate is presented before the knights. If the Knight wishes for the canidate to join their division, they raise their paw. If more than one captain is willing to accept a canidate into their division, than the canidate may choose which division they prefer. After being allowed to join a division, they become a student and take on the suffix, paw.

Contests
part of the merit system. Done during the festivals. A contests between the different divisions with the goal of earning merit points for their group. Contests vary each year.

New Year’s Day
the winner is announced for the merit points that year. A celebration is held to honor the winners

Territory + Description
The majority of the land is that of a snowy mountain with the upper most territory too cold to travel too, and cut off is not much further past Lover’s Peak. To the right is ??Clan, and the Sapphire Springs. Below the springs leads down towards a meadowy area and the border. To the left of the meadowy area is more forest which leads back up and into the mountain. The border to the left is made up of the ? River. Evergreen trees, oak trees, and other plants that survive in the medium altitude and cold environment can be found within the territory of CrystalClan. The prey here are that of birds, bats from within the tunnels, fish from the river and sometimes the stream too, and then mice, shrews, and squirrels in the lower parts of the territory. The cats of CrystalClan are not the only ones that call this place home. Deer, goats, bears, badgers, foxes and so many more animals call this winter wonderland home. Hidden away in the tunnels that span through the mountain area, live the cats that call this place. The tunnels are massive and cover a large portion of the land, only problem is most of them are unexplored. Many cats have explored them, and been lost to them. Who knows who or what else lives within the tunnels of the mountain besides the cats of Crystalclan

CRYSTAL CLAN'S CAMP
CrystalClan's Camp - link
CrystalClan's camp is mid-way between the frozen waste-lands above and the small parts of greenery below. Bits of grass and moss are seen not far from the entrance along with a sparce scattering of trees. There is only one main entrance to their camp, although their tunnels do connect to other parts of the territory. However, these other tunnels are dangerous and prone to collapse. For this reason, CrystalClan cats rarely venture beyond the main camp.

The Prisoner's Den
The prisoner's den is loated right next to the entrance to their camp. Their den is the least protected, and is also the coldest during leaf bare because of it's distance from the hot springs. It provides a break from the wind and snow, but isn't very comfortable. The prisoners are posted here, because they are expected to be the first lines of defense against any intruders so that true clan members do not have to risk their lives.

The Defense Divisions Den
The defense division's den is located just beyond the prisoner's den in the tunnel. Just out side of their den, the main tunnel becomes narrower. It only allows two cats to pass through at a time, which makes it easier to defend the inner parts of their camp. There is always a defense division warrior on guard at this point.

The Hot Springs
Just beyond the main tunnel, it opens up into a wide cave with a high ceiling. In the center lies a circular hot spring. The warm water helps keep CrystalClan's camp warm even in the harshest of leaf-bares, as well as provide clean drinking water for the entire clan.

The Offense Division's Den
The ofense divisions den is located to the right of the Hot Springs cave. It is large and spacious

The Sovereign and Heir's Den
The sovereign and heir shar a den next to the water fall. The sound of the rushing water make it impossible to hear the words being spoken from within to be heard from outside of its walls. The den has three compartment, one for the sovereign, on for the heir, and the meeitng room.

The ancient's den
The ancient's den is located next to the hotspring, giving the oldest cats of the clan a very short walk in order to soak in the warm waters. Here there is a shallow dip in the water with gentle inclines so that they do not have to worry about drowning. Their den is always warm, and padded with the softest moss.

The Nursery
The nursery is the hardest den to get to in an invasion. It is located far back in the main Hot Springs cave, and is slightly elevate to keep the youngest of kits from falling into the hotsprings. The nursery is very spacious, offering plenty of room for all of the clan's litters to stay

OTHER AREAS
Lover's Peak
Lover’s Peak is a cliff found far above the main camp entrance, close to the upper most border of Crystalclan’s territory. It’s covered in snow, rocks, and a few bare bushes scattered around. The land over looks the rest of the territory, a beautiful site and one that allows an unobstructed view of the northern lights when they appear in the night sky. Luckily, there’s not much room on the cliff or the whole clan would meet here to watch the lights that represent their God of Life. With few spaces to relax and cuddle against the winds that blow past the area, it’s no wonder that cats like coming up here for dates.

The Sapphire Springs
To the northeast of camp--between home and the border with ??Clan--and in a lower altitude area, lies Sapphire Springs. It is the second hot springs on the territory, the first being the one found inside of camp. The color of the water is a Sapphire blue, with an orange-ish ring around it where no grass, snow or anything else dares grow. The water is warm, but not so hot that one couldn’t enjoy a swim in the waters. Beware though, there have been twolges rumored to bathe within the waters. Always approach with caution and keep in mind that you may not be the only one that wants a hot bath tonight.

The memorial tunnel
Memorial Tunnel - where merit tablets of past are stored, details about those who’ve passed, and the history of the clan. All cats know where this tunnel is and are free to visit it whenever they choose. The tunnel is long and has many large rocks in it contains the history, stories, legends, grave details, and more about CrystalClan.

Cascading Falls
Surrounded by snow, trees and rocks of all shapes and sizes, is a waterfall called The cascading falls. It begins from a stream that flows from the mountain, past the tunnels of Crystalclan, and into the forest in which it gains speed, fish, and a warmer temperature. Parts of the stream are frozen on top further up the mountain, the fish below it's surface are use to the cold temperatures and safe from the claws of cats and other animals. But closer to the waterfall, the ice breaks up, warmed by the air, lower altitude, and the speed by which the water is flowing downhill. Ice tumbles over the waterfall, crashing into the forming river below and breaking apart. The fish on the other side of the waterfall are at the mercy of the animals of the land. Easy prey if one can manage to hold their balance on slippery rocks found out in the river's current, or to those who are lucky to find them near the water's edge.

The Shimmering Stream
A stream named The Shimmering Stream flows through the territory close to the upper border, has a frozen top layer that can be walked across with care. There are fish underneath the frozen top layer, visible but hard to get to unless one knows how to make a hole in the solid ice. The stream flows past the tunnels of CrystalClan, down the mountain to the waterfall in which it becomes a part of the river that goes through the forest. Close to the waterfall, the ice a begins to break u from the speed of the water, the lower altitude, and the warmer temperatures. Broken ice floats through the water’s current, strong enough to hold a cat, but moving to swiftly for most to find purchase on them. Plus, those pieces of ice find their end at the bottom of the waterfall, not someplace a cat wants to find their end.

The Shivering River
Beginning at the waterfall and flowing further into the forest, lies a river called The Shivering River. Fish can be found within the river’s depth, along with slippery rocks that are large enough for a cat to stand upon. The current here is faster than back up at the stream, the water warmer too. Further away from the waterfall, the river creates the border to ??Clan and CrystalClan. Large rocks rest in a zig-zag pattern that allows passage between the two territories, and the water here is slightly shallower with what could be considered a second, small waterfall leading just on the other side of the rock bridge to deeper waters and the continuation of the river.

Prey found here consists of birds, bats, fish, with mice, shrew, and squirrels closer to the base of the mountain.

Clan Name: SwiftClan
Ranks & Description:
SwiftClan has a mostly traditional clan ranking system. There are only a few key differences.

Medicine Cats: Because the clan tends to move about often, the medicine cats do not keep extensive herb stores. Instead, they only keep on hand the herbs they use often (such as cobwebs) and any herbs they are currently using to treat a member of the clan. Medicine cats spend more time learning the location of herbs in the neighboring area, so they can be fetched in times of emergencies, and testing the properties of new plants. Each medicine cat is trained how to carefully check the healing properties of new plants but they prefer to consult with neighboring medicine cats before sampling anything. Medicine cats try to have a strong relationship with the healers of the other clans and groups when possible: they've been known to ask other medicine cats for herbs to treat certain injuries and in return will leave the other clan all of the herbs stores they've gathered when it comes time to move to a new camp.

Warriors: The warriors of the clan are taught self-defense and tricks on escaping and evading predators instead of military fighting. The clan's lifestyle cannot support large numbers of warriors so they are often at a numbers disadvantage compared to the other clans and cannot win a war. They prepare for fighting predators instead.

Scouts: SwiftClan's scouts are typically peaceful, diplomatic cats. They have a variety of jobs within the clan instead of the traditional hunting role. When the clan moves to a new camp, a group of scouts is send ahead to check the land and take note of good camp locations, how well the prey runs, and the location of predators. They are trained to be observant and keen trackers for this purpose. Once the clan is settled, they serve as an emergency alert system (see traditions section). The scouts were established in part to provide a job to cats with crippling injuries that prevent them from being effective warriors: it doesn't take speed or agility to signal the clan or survey an area, but they are an essential part of clan life.

Territory & Description:
SwiftClan is semi-nomadic and change camps every season, rarely settling in the same place twice, though they do keep near the other clans so they can trade with them. After the destruction of the old clans their leader decided it was folly to stay in one place and never experience other lifestyles. They do not set down borders but hunt close to camp and avoid invading the borders of the other clans. Moving around keeps any natural distasters from having as strong of an impact on them as the other clans, though it comes with its own costs. Communication especially is a large issue for the clan because their cats wander so far in search of food, so whenever SwiftClan settles they build rock cairns to guide the path to their camp and signal emergencies. SwiftClan prefers to settle near water sources when possible, mostly for convience access, but also because their cats tend to have an affinity for fishing and swimming.

During the winter they often return to the same camp near MeadowClan. There's a farm nearby that the other clans are uninterested in getting close to due to the stench and number of large animals that could hurt a cat, so SwiftClan is free to explore here unharmed.

Religion:
SwiftClan cats typically follow StarClan.

About Your Clan:
A semi-nomadic group with a focus on family, this small group of cats are prolific foragers and adapted to working with few resources. SwiftClan cats focus on working together and establishing communication with themselves and the other clans in order to survive.

Culture (optional):
SwiftClan is strongly family-oriented and has close bonds between cats. Their lifestyle cannot support a large group, so it tends to attract tight-knit families. The clan was created with this in mind - it was named for the founder's father and the family he represented (and serves as a memory of the families that died of a fatal cough alongside him). SwiftClan was founded only recently, after the destruction of the old clans. The founder journeyed to the new clans but did not find them suitable, and accidentally attracted a new clan to live with him. They are fiercely indepedent cats when it comes to the other clans, however: though they rely on them for occasional trade, SwiftClan cats are also keenly aware of their few numbers and vulnerability. They are friendly to roamers, but groups intimidate them.

Due to the clans nomadic nature, each cat has few possessions to their name. They forage for what they need in the moment and rarely carry anything from camp to camp. The few possessions that cats do have are extremely precious to them. Relics from their old homes are very common.

Traditions (optional):
Communcation is difficult for this clan, but it is essential in the case of emergencies. The first leader of the clan had suffered greviously in the past when he failed to respond promptly to an emergency, and he will not let it happen again. When the clan moves to a new territory the scouts establish rock cairns in prominent locations on the hills and any vantage point they can find. Two scouts are responsible for staying with the cairns at any time. They look for any sign of danger, and when any is found, one cat is sent to alert the other cairns while the other marks the signal. Brightly colored plants and dyed are spread across the surface of the rocks to signal what emergency has occured - orange for a predator or injured cat, blue for a food, red for fire, green for earthquakes - and when the emergency is resolved, wet moss is used to clean the stones. Warriors are asked to keep the cairns in sight or check in often to ensure they are not missing any important signals. This system tends to break down in the rain, on dark nights, or at long distances.

Clan Name

FluxClan - A clan of transitions

Ranks & Description:

Leader -

The Leader makes up the core of the clan along with the Deputy and Shaman. They act much like the nucleus of an atom, controlling the ebb and flow of members in the clan. They decide which cats will leave, when to pull cats back in, or when they simply need new cats to bolster the ranks. As a result they have 5 lives. Since they play such an integral role in governing and maintaining FluxClan, they must retire and give up their extra lives if they do not wish to continue as leader. Abandoning their post will result in them being scorned by the Council of Guides and marked to forever be hunted by the Circle of Fiends.

Deputy - The deputy is chosen from the Mighty Nine. Like the Leader and Shaman they make up the core of the clan, and thus have 2 lives. Unlike the Leader and Shaman, they may leave the clan and their post if need be, but their extra life is still forfeit.

Mighty Nine - Nine cats who are either active members of another group, or spent a long time in another group before returning to FluxClan. From these cats a deputy is chosen unless dictated differently by the Seer. They are responsible for enabling apprentices to get into their chosen groups.

Shaman - The Shaman acts as both a healer and a seer. They are the one who primarily communes with the Council of Guides. They have 3 lives, as like the Leader and Deputy make up the core of the clan. Like the Leader they can retire from their position and give up their extra lives, but they cannot leave the clan without first retiring. Their punishment for abandoning their position and clan is not only will they be marked to suffer the wrath of the Circle of Fiends, they will lose one of their senses (typically sight or sound) for their affront to the Council of Guides.

Healer - (MCA position) Due to there not always being apprentices, any cat of any age can be chosen by the Shaman to be a healer. As unlike most clans they prefer to send away their kits when they come of age. The Shaman prefers to pluck candidates from any age and any rank. These cats solely focus on healing, and succeed the Shaman upon their death or retirement.

Warriors
Apprentices - Typically very few in clan as most apprentices join other clans and participate in the Choosing Ceremony. The few that remain are put into training groups under a warrior to perform tasks every moon. These vary from odd challenges on the territory to jobs that take them off the territory

Queens and Kits

Aspirants - Newcomers looking to become a full member of FluxClan, they are trained in a group by the Deputy or a member of the Mighty Nine that is in residence of FluxClan. If there are too few apprentices, these cats will pick up those jobs.

Elders

Territory & Description

Barren and difficult, but possibilities of better things. Abandoned twoleg lands that nature is beginning to take back, and FluxClan strives to survive here.

An abandoned homestead which is made up of large old fields a structurally unsound house, and an abandoned barn.

A portion of the territory is also taken up by foot of a mountain with a few trees and a small lake along with one river going towards the railyard and brownfield and the other going towards the homestead.

An abandoned rail yard and brownfields along with a few empty industrial buildings on the edge of a larger twolegplace.

One active Thundersnake rail line including a tunnel that goes through the mountain, and passes in front of the abandoned rail yard.

Religion -

Council of Guides - A smaller subset of StarClan that focuses particularly on FluxClan and takes a more paws on approach to guiding them as they travel to different groups and occasionally different faiths. These cats are not limited to just the Ancestors of FluxClan, any member of StarClan can join the Council of Guides, and play an active role in watching over and guiding members of FluxClan both on and off FluxClan territory.

Circle of Fiends - Much like how the Council of Guides are a subset of StarClan who take particular care for the members fo FluxClan, the Circle of Fiends are a subset of the Dark Forest. If someone should wrong the group or a member of FluxClan go against the will of the Council of Guides. The shaman or the Council of Guides may mark them to be dogged by the Circle of Fiends. Once a cat is marked, the Circle of Fiends may do as they please to this cat, be it simply cause misfortune, injury, or whatever dastardly deed the circle has the power or drive to do.

About Your Clan

It is through coming apart and carrying our clan in our hearts; that we will come back together stronger than ever.

FluxClan is built of the remnants of a much older group of cats that made their home in the same location.

However, twolegs moved in and drove the older group out scattering their ancestors to the wind to either become loners, or live as kittypets in twolegplace beyond the encroaching twolegs.

Now the Twolegs have left, and the cats of FluxClan have come to reclaim their ancestors home.

Unfortunately, though the Twolegs have gone, they have left their mark. Not only in a little nest and barn, and an overgrown field once primed for crops. But also in rail lines, seemingly abandoned except for one that has Thundersnakes come roaring past occasionally. Worst of all they left the Wastingplace, a place that is seemingly just… waste, brown fields, and the stink of toxins no cat should come near, and dangerous contraptions a few brave souls had glimpsed when they ventured into one of the buildings.

Yet, despite all this, Mother Nature has begun to take back the land, and inspired FluxClan to do the same. They’re going to survive this time. But to do so they’ll need to change, and be more flexible, and not make the same mistakes of their ancestors.

So they recognized the one thing their ancestors did well.

They kept the memory alive, they carried their group in their heart even when apart, and when the descendants came back together to form FluxClan, they brought with each of them unique knowledge and experiences. But with the common thread of the memory of the group before pulling them all together.

It was then that the core concept of FluxClan was born, they would not primarily train their young. Instead, their young would be sent to the other groups that lived nearby. They would carry their homeclan in their heart and as their sole priority but go out to gain experiences of a different group and different walks of life, and bring that knowledge back.

This would be how FluxClan would survive.

FluxClan code:

1. The Survival of FluxClan is every members utmost priority.As long as there are living members of FluxClan, FluxClan will survive. Warriors must be prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure FluxClan’s survival.

2. FluxClan cats do not always have to reside in or serve in FluxClan. Upon completion of the rooting ceremony and swearing loyalty to FluxClan above all, they will always have a place in FluxClan and be considered a part of FluxClan. Even when not an active FluxClan member.

3. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6. Once a kit becomes an apprentice, they must choose a group to join.

7. Once a FluxClan member joins another group, they will act in that groups best interest, as long as it does not risk the survival of FluxClan. A former FluxClan member must never knowingly strike down a former or current FluxClan member.

Culture

FluxClan prides itself on being adaptive and being flexible in circumstances. Very rarely will they stand firm in something if it hinders their continued survival.

Traditions, celebrations and events outside of the Rooting Ceremony and Choosing Ceremony, are often adapted from other groups culture that FluxClan has borrowed and made their own. These may change with the seasons or depending on which the groups like better.

As their territory isn’t particularly plentiful, they only maintain sentry positions around the station where the clan is camped.

If cats are encountered on their territory, the response FluxClan cats have to them depends on what they want. Often they’re happy to welcome newcomers as newcomers can lead to new aspirants (and more life blood for FluxClan), or new ideas that can lead to improved survival in the harsh territory.

They could take territory if they think it’s workable, or if they think it’d be easier to negotiate with an ailing clan they’ll pick whichever is optimum.

These cats will not act to help without expecting something in return, they don’t believe in survival of the fittest, they believe in survival of the smartest. And in garnering favors or boons of the other clans and groups.

They’re also a bit of a melting pot of all cultures given that they send away members to other clans, or locations to ensure the survival of the whole.

Traditions

Rooting Ceremony - Before kits become apprentices (And Aspirants become full members of the clan), they must participate in the rooting ceremony. Where they take seeds and plant them in the Old Field. This symbolizes them setting their roots in FluxClan, and their vow to continue FluxClan’s survival with them.

Choosing Ceremony - The selection process following the Rooting Ceremony for Apprentices where they put forth where they wish to go and the leader does their best to place them. Most times apprentices can pick, but there are times a leader might choose.

The Sharing - On the day following the new moon at the start of every season, members of FluxClan all try to come together. There they will share one thing they’ve learned this past season, with particular focus on those who have spent the season in another clan, or away. This can be, a new skill, a new secret that could be used to the Clan’s advantage, a weakness in another clan, a preparation for the coming season, or even some gossip or news.

Months ago we voted whether clans should be overhauled, some deleted, or left alone. And through a near tie that came ahead by one person we voted for an Overhaul. What the Overhaul means is that all 10 current clans will be deleted and replaced with 10 new clans. Because of this we created the Design a Clan contest where any member of Classic could submit their entry of a new clan. Now it is time for the public to vote for which 10 new clans they would like to see should an Overhaul happen.

CHANGE YOUR VOTE: You are able to change your vote within the week. There are nearly 20 different entries and as such it's understandable if you change your mind. Understand though that once the deadline hits on December 21st that whatever your latest vote is will be final.

DISCLAIMER: The Overhaul is NOT GUARANTEED. There will be a vote in January determining if the Overhaul will happen. This vote is only determining what clans/ groups/ tribes will appear should the Overhaul happen.
