pao The warm rays of summer sunshine came streaming into the Warriors den, where Velvettouch stretched out and sighed. He was bored of hunting and patrolling and then repeating. He needed something else in his life... but what could it be? He sat up, gave himself a quick clean and then wandered out of the den.
The typical shenanigans where taking place outside. Cats scurried about, concern etched on their features. SunClan hadn't been the same after Foxstar went crazy and decided to kill a couple of cats, but Velvettouch was determined that wasn't going to ruin his day.
Suddenly, he stopped, half way across the camp. Of course! Why hadn't he thought of it before? He needed a girlfriend.
Echo, an initiate in the clan, lounged in the sun's warm rays. Here in SunClan it seemed as though the sun was always shining and warm. Definitely drier than EarthClan currently was. Her home may be gone, but she'd found another one in the warm paws of SunClan. All she had to do now was make it through as an initiative. She was oblivious to the chaos of Foxstar's reign, of the terror and unease she'd set in the clan. While Foxstar wasn't the timid Seastar, she didn't seem strange to the young warrior. Maybe it's because she was young, maybe because she didn't know what all had been going down before she'd joined.

Velvettouch decided to stop by the food pile first, but apart from a few bickering tomcats, it was completely empty. No potential girlfriends here. A lot of cats didn't chill in camp anymore, probably because they were all scared that Foxstar would kill them in their sleep. Which was fair enough but Velvettouch didn't fancy sleeping alone in clan territory. The Warriors den seemed much more appealing to the ex kittypet Persian.
Where were all the she-cats? Perhaps he should stop by the Initiate's den? Velevttouch himself used to be an Initiate but thankfully he had passed. He had quick a shock when he found out what happened to cats who didn't pass. He always felt sorry for the Initiates, if only they all knew what they were getting themselves into.
He poked his head through the den door and paused. It was extremely dark inside, even though Velvettouch was a cat and cats are supposed to be able to see quite well at nightime but even for the tom, it was dark. "Helloooo?" he called out.
Echo groaned when she heard another voice. Great, someone was interrupting her peace and quiet. "What? Can't you see I'm relaxing here?" The she-cat rolled over in her nest off of her back and around to face the newcomer. Now just who was this handsome cat? "Well, hello there." She purred her words, showing interest in this newbie. "Something I can help you with?"

Velvettouch felt slightly offended when the shadow of a she-cat responded to his call. He was just about to make a rude retort, like excuse me, it's not my fault you're being lazy on such a nice day. However, suddenly the atmosphere completely changed, the she-cat - he had no clue who she was; purred in welcome, a change in her thought process crossing her mind perhaps? It was probably because he was such a good looking cat. Hmph. Of course.
With a dashing smile, Velvettouch put his most handsome sounding purr on. "Well... you see, I was looking for some beautiful she-cat like you to talk to. I was starting to get worried I wouldn't find one in SunClan and I'd have to search somewhere else but then... well, I saw you." If he was going to be completely honest, it was so dark in the den, he could hardly see her but of course he wouldn't tell this wonderful she-cat that.
"Oh? Well, it's a good thing that you found me then." She wanted a better look at the cat, and some warm sunlight in her fur. Stepping out of the den, she found herself face to face with Velvettouch, a to she'd only heard about recently. Mostly just that he'd once been an initiate too. "So, now that you have me to talk to you, what did you wanna talk about handsome?" Echo smoothed out her fur, eyes fluttering flirtatiously in his direction every once in a while.

Wow. This she-cat was smooth. As she stepped out, the rays of the sun fell on her pelt. And pretty. Oh, and she had just called him handsome. At last, a cat with good taste! Velvettouch thought he was one of the best-looking cats in the whole of the big wide world and yes, not just SunClan. To be completely honest, Velvettouch thought SunClan toms were pretty ugly. He, on the otherpaw, was a ray of sunshine in a clan fall of ugly worms. A gift to the world indeed.
Glancing down at Echo, he smiled. "Well, beautiful... I just wanted to ask, did you want to be my girlfriend? You're the prettiest she-cat I've seen in aaaaages." He purred.
"Oh?" Straight to the point. She liked it, and the compliment. Letting a grin of her own out, slipping into a pur, and batting her eyelashes, Echo couldn't help them pleased feeling she got. For once it seemed like she was someone's first choice. That had never happened in her family. Not when there's Firetooth, the great kit turned into medicine cat. "Well when you put it that way, how ever am I suppose to say no?"

"Oh, my dear. I just knew you would say yes!" Meowed Velvettouch, as he padded up to the she-cat, he placed his paw out as a gesture of kind will. "I'm Velvettouch, just in case you didn't know. But I'm sure you did. Everyone knows me around here. Apperently everyone calls me a ray of sunshine!" He grinned, dipping his head at the she-cat in front of him. His mind racing with ship names already, he realized he probably should ask the she-cat's name, just to be polite. Apparently she-cat's liked it when you asked them their names. "And... What is your name my lovely?" He smiled.
(So sorry I got busy with school and couldn't find time to get on, even for a few minutes.)
Echo grinned, wicked and please. "Echo, but I'm sure it'll be changing soon, so please call me whatever you wish." She'd always loved terms of endearment when she'd observe other couples. Maybe she could get what she wanted here. "Now that you know my name,..and I know yours. Why don't we get out of here?"

Velvettouch really liked this she-cat's attitude towards life. "Of course Echo." He meowed. "Such a sweet name though. Shame it'll be changing soon." He sighed, stepping back to let the she-cat out of the den. "After you." He smiled. "Where did you want to go?" He asked.
(SO Echo has been promoted wanna role play this out a bit more and then time skip? Also what's our game plan? Mates? on-again-off-again lovers? A one time fling??)
(So let's do on-again-off-again. It'd be interesting especially since I'm not sure Heavenwhisper would settle down either. I think she'll be my Fling Queen lol. Maybe he'll be her own only one that's consistent and last longer than a few meetings )
TIME SKIP!
Heavenwhisper, recently named Janus, wandered around camp. She was in search of that tom, the one who she'd met as an initiative and had such a great afternoon with. The two of them had hit it off and seen each other once since then. But then she'd become busy with becoming a full member of the clan and then worthy enough to be a Janus of the clan.
