Toadstream held her gaze, falling further into their depths. He wanted to stay with her but he also needed to find his family and make sure they were still alive. "Thank you, Loststar...you have done so much for me. You have been more than generous and I dont think I could ever repay you."

(I know we have a thread with them being found by the dayclan Med cats, unless they changed it and didn't tell me xc haha)
A soft smile pulled at her lips and she dipped her head to him ever so slightly. "I want only for you to be happy." It was true, whatever came of his life, so long as he was happy she would be alright in the end. The leader turned and looked to the sky, the now setting sun turning the blue expanse a golden red. "Tomorrow we will begin out search, but for now would you like to watch the sunset with me?" She would enjoy what little time she had left with him, knowing she would always have her memories.
(Do you want to make a thread with you, me and Jet of them finding Deerflower?)
(Lol I dont think so. It was a while ago when they told me)
He smiled and began to purr, "I suppose I owe you that much." He took a seat beside her and cast his gaze out toward the setting sun, enjoying the time he spent with Loststar.
(Yeah! We could do that! I dont know if Jet will reply. She doesnt get on very much. Shes usually really busy)

Still smiling she curled her feathery tail around her paws, his closeness comforting her as they sat in silence.
(No worries lol! And I would like to but getting other people to reply steadily will be difficult. That's why I don't do a lot of multi player role plays)

It had been a couple days since Toadstream had found his sister and was told that his mother had died saving his life. He had decided to take a walk to clear his mind and his paws lead him to the look out rock where Loststar had taken him the other day. He sat there, trying to wrap his head around everything. He had lost bits of his memory during the flood and to find out what had happened, scared him. He wasn't sure where he belonged at this point. Earthclan was destroyed, everything he knew was no longer existing. Should he go to Dayclan to be with his sister? Or should he start his own life? Loststar had opened her home to him and had been so kind. Would he really leave her?

In the days following their return from Dayclan and finding Deerflower and her kit alive and on the road to recovery Loststar had been anxiously awaiting to wake one morning to find that Toadstream had gone to be with them, something she wouldn't be able to blame him for seeing as they were his family. It hurt to think she would never be able to spend time with him again though, just another leader and a warrior from a different clan separated by borders and their loyalty to their homes. The first two nights since they returned the she-cat had been unable to sleep peacefully, was she afraid of losing a potential warrior and new friend or were her feelings more than that... She had spent the night prior out roaming the territory, her senior warrior posted on guard had tried to talk her out of it but she went anyway reassuring him she would be fine.
The sun had long since been in the sky and she still could not bring herself to return to camp, her paws leading her aimlessly until she found herself looking at the winding path that led to the lookout. A small but sad smile pulled at her lips as the memory of her bringing the tom to this spot ran through her mind, slowly but with steady steps she climbed the trail until she was at the top what she saw when she arrived stopped her in her tracks though. Toadstream. She lifted a paw to move forward but paused, she could sense a battle within him and wanted nothing more than to rush to his side, but would he welcome her? Unsure she stayed where she was, her eyes watching him.
He hadn't known she was standing there. He was too lost in thought. He lowered his head and sent out a prayer, "Starclan, if your listening...I need a sign. I dont know where I am suppose to go...what I am suppose to do. I dont know if you are angry with Eathclan, Brookclan, and Waterclan but we are left with nothing and are scattered...I need help...I need a sign." He looked up at the sky but all was silent. The only sound was the whistle of the wind in the trees and birds chirping and calling to each other. He let out a defeated sigh and flopped down on his belly, burying his face into his paws.

Loststar remained frozen in place his words echoing in her ears, she hated seeing him so torn and the moment he buried his face into his paws her legs carried her to his side. The she-cat lowered herself instantly and pressed herself gently to his side, curling her fluffy tail over his back comfortingly. As his scent wrapped around her she began to feel an ache in her chest and turned her gaze to him, the amber swirling through her green eyes bright against the sun. Her thoughts were selfish, she didn't want him to go. "I don't want to lose you." She whispered, her voice cracking slightly. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep that caused her to speak aloud what she was feeling, or maybe it was that combined with the fact that she truly was falling in love with him and the thought of him going was more than she could handle.
Toadstream jumped slightly as Loststar pressed herself to him then relaxed when he realized it was her. He welcomed the comfort, feeling a little lighter having her there. His cheeks warmed when she admitted that she didnt want to lose him. Before he could open his mouth to speak, an orange oak leaf drifted through the air, swirled around him, and snagged on one of his paws. He perked his ears at it and wrapped it in his paws. "An oak leaf?" He looked confused but then realized, Fallclan is full of oak trees. Either this was a coincidence or it was the sign he was waiting for. Then it hit him, tugging at his heart. The longing to be here and to be with Loststar. It was clear to him now. If he wasn't suppose to be here, he wouldnt feel it in his heart. He looked over at Loststar, seeing the hurt in her eyes and he knew. He had to stay here. He wanted to stay here. He gave her a warm smile, "I want to stay in Fallclan...I want to stay here....with you..." he confessed, his heart racing. "If you'll have me, of course," he chuckled.

A wide happy smile pulled at her lips when he spoke, her heart was beating faster than it ever had before, it felt as if it would burst from her chest. "Of course I will!" She purred, pressing her muzzle to his as the joy of what was happening flowed through her. All of her worries about him leaving and them never seeing one another again were now gone. "I will always want you by my side Toadstream." Her voice was muffled as she still had her face pressed to his, her purr growing stronger.
A loud purr exploded from his chest as Loststar pressed her muzzle to his. He leaned into her, pressing his muzzle to hers. Then he gently retreated, looking into her eyes. "Loststar, I havent felt like this about anyone before. I want to stay here with you. You are the main reason I want to stay. In just these past several sunrises, I...well, I have really fallen for you. I cant get you out of my head and I-I love you... I know it's crazy because we just met but you make me complete. Your the one I've been waiting for. So I must ask this correctly. Loststar, will you make me the happiest tom in the world and become my mate?"

Her head was buzzing at all his words, it had taken her some nights to realize her true feeling for the tom but she now knew how she truly felt. "I love you too Toadstream, I am not whole without you." She looked at him smiling, her happiness faltering only when he asked her to be his mate. Her past suddenly flooded back, the kits she was never able to meet and the uncertainty of not knowing if she would ever be able to have a family or provide a family if she ever fell in love. "Toadstream... I would love more than anything to be your mate, but would you still feel this way knowing there is a possibility that we may never have kits or a family?" She lowered her gaze, sadness glowing in her eyes.
(I really want them to have kits, it will be a lot harder on her because of her past miscarriage but it will make it more interesting when it does happen haha)
Toadstream's smile faded but kindness and love still lingered in his green eyes. Sympathy for Loststar pulled at his heart strings. He locked one paw around one of her's and then used the other to lift her chin to look at him. "I have always thought of what it would be like to have kits. One day, I always thought I would have them. But...I would much rather live the rest of my life with you and not have kits than to walk away now and regret ever doing so. Just because you may not be able to give us a family, does not make me love you any less. I will be perfectly happy with just you and Mousekit by my side forever. Besides, if you do take me as your mate, that would make Mousekit my son regardless whether he is blood or not. Family doesnt end in blood. Me, you, and Mousekit can be a family."
(Yeah!! I would love for them to have kits too! But Toadstream isnt worried about that he loves Loststar no matter what <3 )

Loststar lay there frozen with her eyes locked on him, how did she end up so fortunate to find such an amazing love. She would love their little family of three for all her life, what would Mousekit think of all this though? "You will be an amazing father." She purred happily, giving his ear a gentle lick. "I suppose we should tell Mousekit though, I would rather him find out from us than whispers." She looked worried for a moment but it vanished quickly, she had nothing to worry about, her son starclan willing would end up loving Toadstream just as she did.
