Quartus-tyke had wandered his way from Post Kilo. His curious mind having taken him up the winding tunnels and into the meeting place that he'd heard others call the Crescent Hollow in passing conversations. The cats either unaware that he was listening or didn't care that he was. His pale eyes glazed over in slight boredom as he looked around at the current inhabitants in the area. The tyke had been napping peacefully in his nest in Post Kilo when he'd finally awoke he figured he may as well do some 'exploring'. He was still new to the tunnels that the Regime called home, and he assumed it would be in his and his brothers best interest if he learned there in's and out's as quickly as he could.
Quartus-tyke gave a low huff as he decided that he may as well try to look for his brothers somewhere around here in these tunnels. His gaze shifting from each of the shadowy cats that were currently inside the Hollow to see if any of them were his brothers, or if they had seen any of them.
OOC: i was unsure if tykes could leave post kilo or not :'D i read the info pages and it didn't say they couldn't from what i read if they cant thats my bad fam ♥
Mirage-tyke had spotted Quartus leaving Post Kilo and decided to follow him, the spotted black she-cat blended in extraordinary well with her surroundings in the tunnels, a trait she took from her father, Ryker. Mirage decided she'd had enough of simply following Quartus and decided to ask him what he was up to. "Whatcha doin'?" She asked him curiously, padding up to stand beside him.

Quartus-tyke had been unaware of another following him through his solo search through the tunnels. His attention to caught up in looking for his siblings. The sudden voice of Mirage-tyke caused the kit to startle his entire body turning to look at her. Once he realized that it was a fellow tyke from Post Kilo the fur that had been standing on his shoulders flattened. "Oh" he replied ins his slowly almost bored tone, "I was just looking for my brothers" he responded his slow tone blunt and to the point. His ears gave a slow twitch before he asked her, "You haven't seen them... have you?"
Mirage-tyke's whiskers twitched in amusement when she realized she startled Quartus-tyke. "No, I haven't seen them." She replied. "Have you checked down this tunnel?" She asked, motioning to the tunnel not far behind her. Mirage-tyke's suggestion had more to do with her own curiosity and want to explore than it really did in helping Quartus-tyke find his brother's, but maybe there was a possibility they had wandered down there for the sake of their own curiosity.

The shaggy-furred tom gave a small huff at the fact that the other tyke hadn't seen his brothers. His gaze shifted towards the direction she had suggested his head giving a slowly casual tilt as he pondered the idea of his brothers having wandered down the tunnel. Quartus-tyke clicked his tongue and had surmised that the suggestion was a valid one. He wouldn't put it past his other siblings to wander off to who knows where. He gave a seemingly lazy rise and fall of his shoulders, "No, I haven't" he hummed in his monotone voice as he turned his gaze back to Mirage-tyke, "Want to help me look?" he asked assuming that two sets of eyes would be better than one.
"Sure!" Mirage-tyke replied enthusiastically, her eyes brightening at the thought of going on an adventure with another denmate. "Let's go!" She added, quickly darting off in the direction of the tunnel.

Quartus-tyke blinked his eyes characteristically slowly as he watched Mirage-tyke dart down the dark tunnel. He gave an even slower sigh before he padded on after her, his strides brisk and carried a purpose. His pale green eyes scanning the tunnel as he walked after her the sound of their paw steps echoing off the cave walls causing his ears to twitch. Hoping he'd find hs siblings sooner rather than later in case they got themselves into a situation they couldn't handle. Or worse. Their mother had found them in a compromising situation. Knowing full well that if they were to get in trouble, he would as well by default.
Mirage-tyke continued at a brisk pace, her gaze scanning all around her. She hadn't stopped babbling on since she entered the tunnel. "I wonder if they went down here. I wonder why I haven't gone down here before! This is so exciting! Don't you love exploring new places?"
Quartus-tyke followed behind Mirage-tyke, his ears twitching every time she spoke as he voice echoed off the rocky walls. He hoped that his brothers weren't attempting to hide from him, because if they were his companion was making it easier for them to avoid him. His whiskers twitched as he felt the need to say something in hopes of breaking the she-kit's babbling, but the question she had asked caused his brow to quirk, "Love it? No. Not really" he'd answered bluntly. A moment passed before he'd mirrored the question, "...do you?"
"Yes!" Mirage-tyke answered, completely absorbed in her own wonder to realize she was being way too loud. "I love seeing new places! One day I will know all of the tunnels better than anyone else in the regime!" she chirped happily. "Plus seeing new places is exciting!"
Quartus-tyke only hummed quietly at her excitement. Though he quirked his brow at her statement of knowing the tunnels better than anyone else in the regime. He almost opened his mouth to point out that it was most likely impossible for her to know more than someone else, but he didn't want to hurt her feelings so he just quietly padded along behind her. His gaze tracking the walls as they passed. A passing thought occurred to him, "Have you seen any bats yet?" he asked with a faint curiosity.
"No!" Mirage-tyke stated crossly. "My mother wouldn't allow me to, she said the bats were to be dealt with by the mercenaries not the tykes. But I want to see them." she meowed, then suddenly an idea popped into her head, it wasn't entirely like Mirage-tyke to disobey her mother, but the curious kit couldn't help herself sometimes. "We should go see them!" She suggested excitedly.
Quartus-tykes head spun at the seesaw of emotions that Mirage-tyke seemed to phase through nonstop. His head tilted at her suggestion the tom's persona usually left him sticking to the background. Out of sight out of mind. But his kittenish curiosity was burning a hole in his mind. He reasoned with himself that it wouldn't be too bad to try and see them. He wasn't stupid enough to touch them. The tabby looked over at Mirage-tyke and he found himself nodding his head, "Okay, let's go"
Mirage-tyke nodded and veered off to her left, which she believed was the way to the bats. "Do you think they're aggressive?" she asked Quartus-tyke, her paws itched to run but she held herself back at a brisk trot.
Quartus-tyke's steps stuttered as Mirage-tyle veered around the corner. His stride quickening to keep up with her. At her question, he tilted his head as he pondered over it. "I would think so. But... maybe they're sleeping right now?" And, if they were sleeping they'd be easier to look at, instead of them flying around all crazy.
"If they are sleeping, I'm going to wake them up after we see them. I wanna watch them fly around all crazy!" She said with a laugh, within seconds she could pick up an unfamiliar scent, which she assumed was the bats. "They smell strange..." she said quietly.
The snort had left Quartus-tyke suddenly Mirage-tykes enthusiasm catching him off guard. He'd been about to say he wasn't sure that'd be a good idea when the cent had also caught his attention. He was about to nod his head when he realized that' she wouldn't be able to see the gesture. His nose twitched as he voiced his agreement with her, "Even stranger than frogs" he whispered, recalling back to when his father had brought one to show him and his brothers.
"What do frogs smell like?" Mirage-tyke asked curiously, still creeping forward towards the scent of the bats, just more slowly and carefully, suddenly slightly nervous about what they might be walking into.
"Kind of like... soggy moss, and Primus-tykes morning breath all put together." Quartus-tyke mewed his voice barely above a whisper as he followed after Mirage-tyke. Though as he followed her he got lower to the ground his ears alert and his eyes trained up to the rocky ceiling in search of the bats.
Mirage-tyke scrunched her nose at the thought of those smells mixed together, it didn't sound very good. Suddenly, her gaze caught a dark shape dart overhead, she lowered herself to the ground in surprise, not wanting to become a target for an angry bat. "They're kinda small!" She squeaked in surprise.
