Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. He noticed how talking about not having friends seemed to trigger some painful memories. "Im sure he will be fine making friends. As for you, Ive noticed how far along you have come as well."
"Huh?" Cannalily asked, confused. She didn't think she'd come very far at all. She had a couple of friends, the kits liked her well enough, and her health was slowly improving, but she saw none of that.
"Cannalily" he began, looking at her with a smile, "You have come further than you think. When I first met you, you didn't interact much. You didn't do much. You just almost took a dunk in the pond!" His whiskers twitched in amusement. When he spoke of Shadowfeather, it didn't seem like they were officially together yet. "You love the kits and they love you. You are richer than you think."

Cannalily looked embarrassed. "I... Um... Thank you." It was a lot to process. She was doing a lot, and accomplishing a lot. She hadn't stopped to consider her progress.

"Yay!" She had so much energy now and she wanted to expend it wisely. What better way to do that than with a patrol for her clan. With a friend, no less!

"Been better than ever!" She said. "My health's improved so much! I haven't had to go visit our medicine cats in awhile, and I think I'm able to do patrols now! How about yourself, Mr. Deputy? Burningstar keeping you busy?"
