Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is a rp where clan cats are taken by two-legs and made kittypets. Afterwards the clan cats will try to find a way back to their clans and if anyone has kittypets they want to rp meeting the warriors you're free to! Anyone can join in)
A two-leg had reported a few feral cats in the forest to animal control and although the two-legs didn't know the full extent of the cat population they took action and caught all the cats they thought were in the forest and loaded them up into cages and transported them to a local animal shelter. Currently all the cats taken from the forest were in the same room, able to roam freely. There were a few cat trees, tunnels, book shelves and more importantly a window up high.
"Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow," Glowstar was literally just saying the word meow repeatedly at the door where she saw a two-leg leave from. She knew quite ea few kittypets who told her that they always got their way by meowing. The only problem was she was annoying every cat in the room around her and it appeared to not be working as Glowstar had been meowing for about thirty minutes with the exception of a water break every ten minutes.
Mistyveil was inspecting kittypet food, she always heard in the warrior code never to eat any, but being apart of the mountain clans she never had seen a kittypet to know what kittypet food actually looked like. From the looks of the pebble like food she couldn't imagine why it needed to be a rule, seemed like common sense not to eat it. It was fine if she was hungry, she was used to starving. The half peachy gold, half Russian blue medicine cat moved over to the cat toys. She would admit, she would have liked to have a fluffy looking mouse toy as a kit to play with.
"Alright Ryker, climb to the top of that fluffy thing, when a two-leg comes in, you aim for the eyes, I'll get the ankles and we'll run. I'd rather die attempting to escape from here then even considering retelling a fraction of this story. I mean this is the second time this has happened to us! Y'know, if we didn't have a cat named Curse in our league, I'd give you that nickname," Thane mumbled.
Thane was mountainous, muscular, a cat missing an eye, definitely not made to be a house cat given his scars and abrasive attitude. He was the son of Vera after all and a proxy. Why did he have to be in this situation? And why couldn't that cat shut up at the door?
Getting kidnapped couldn't have come at a worst time for Peachblush. Leafbare was coming and SpringClan was entirely unprepared, his apprentice had gone a week without training, and he was pretty sure he was catching a cold - and Glowstar's incessant meowing was not helping matters. It was nice of him to have Thane with him, but he didn't really want to act to friendly with him in fear of news of his ...unsavory boyfriend reaching SpringClan. Still, it wouldn't hurt to talk to him, would it? He cleared his throat and padded up to Thane, peering at the door hesitantly. "The second time?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "...That sounds like an interesting story for later, if we do end up stuck here."
Sagecloud moved a little closer to Mistyveil, eyeing the cat toys nervously. "You know, I don't wanna say it, but they dolook kinda fun," the BrookClan tom muttered, glancing at Mistyveil.
He left prison for the first time in a half-moon and he got captured by twolegs... again. "I blame you for this, you know," Ryker muttered to Thane as he scrambled up to the top of the fluffy thing and crouched on it. "I don't know how, I don't know why, but this is definitely your fault." His tail lashed as he waited for the twoleg to reappear. It was... good to see his brother again, though he didn't want to admit it. Ever since he'd been exiled from the League he hadn't seen his family or done much at all, and even if it was a dangerous situation, at least he had someone to talk to. He supposed he had Mistyveil, but other than being prisoners together they didn't share much in common. He looked up as the SpringClan cat approached and narrowed his eyes at him. "It's not a story you'll hear, clan cat," Ryker retorted sharply.
Snowpaw cowered in the corner of the room, his eyes squeezed shut tight. There were so many different colors and moving things moving about, he was terrified down to his bones. The gigantic furless twolegs were scary to him too, but they had been nice enough so far... if he was lucky, he would continue to be. Their paws were large but they had a soft touch and it felt nice when they pet his fur.
Spookpaw had collected all the fuzzy, colorful, puff balls she could find and moved to bring them over towards Snowpaw. The MoonClan cat didn't know any of the other cats in the room and thought the one meowing at the door was kind of funny, but these puff ball toys just called to her. Snowpaw had found the nearest corner and shut his eyes and making her way over with three of the puff balls, she curled up next to him. "Look! this things are great. They're like moss balls but they're not and their squishy." Things like this could be used in pranks but she just found them fascinating, just like she'd found everything else in this room. When she'd first been brought into this room, she'd checked every nock and cranny she could find, until she'd gotten distracted by these amazing puff balls and her best friend not being by her side of course. Spookpaw was use to him being scared of everything, half the time it was her fault and this time was probably the same thing. So her best idea was to distract him, though she wasn't sure how well she'd be able to do that.
Voidedmemories sat close to her mother, watching her quietly. Next to her, Dragonswrath was humming ever-so-softly. He didn't seem bothered at all, seeing as this hadn't been the first time in his long life he had been captured. Unlike most, he didn't mind Twolegs. For a few moons, he had been a kittypet of his own volition. The only part that made him uncomfortable was that he was away from Sunclan. Being Soothsayer, he hated being so far away from the camp.
Black ears flicked as he entered the shelter from a small hole in the roof. Kutsu landed softly on the white pillow, standing and shaking out his fur. An amused smirk crossed his muzzle at the various clan cats. Unlike them, Kutsu was free to come and go in most houses and businesses in the neighborhood, animal shelter included. The LKR overseer approached Glowstar, trying not to purr with laughter. "That probably won't work." He avoided making eye contact with his daughter, eyes glued on the Dayclan leader instead.
"Hey, Glowstar, if you don't stop saying the word meow, I am going to have to claw out my own eyes and then I, my eyeless sockets focused on you, will roll them over and feed them to you. I don't think either of us would enjoy that. So, I suggest for the love of Nivet, you at least say something productive."
The threat came from a tight lipped and narrow-eyed BrookClan leader. She looked positively unhappy in a way that didn't suit her frame. It was particularly harsh, especially with how she typically treated the feline that most cats knew was in her top five favorite cats to be around. But, the constant repitition of the one word was fraying nerves already frayed to the wick by the situation.
Normally, stress leaked into her eyes and painted how she walked, but this was different. Anxiety was brimming in every twitchy movement that she had. Twitchy was not a way to normally describe the Tsar, but surely, desperate times must allow it, right? As she said the words, the feline found herself pacing up and down the space that all of the cats were locked. She hated this. Claustrophobia was not something that Kerrigan liked to admit she had, but the fact she had no clear exit from this situation brought this phobia clear to the front of the she-cat's mind.
"Yeah, everyone blames me for everything, it's the curse of being the oldest by a few seconds," Thane quipped, listening to his brother talk back to Peachblush. Amusement flickered like a dark blaze across her midnight blue eye, "Yeah, shut your prim genetically perfect muzzle. No one wants to hear your angelically perfect voice, okay?" Close one Thane. Your brother could have caught on that you liked him if you didn't give that awesome comeback.
Mistyveil looked up at Sagecloud, she didn't want to admit it either, "Yeah, I might honestly steal one to take back to my kits. I'll admit, two-legs make pretty good kitten toys, I might have to think about stealing these from kittypets now. No rule about that, although my kits will be apprentices soon" the medicine cat snickered before turning to Spookpaw who was having a blast with the two-leg toys, "Buuut maybe they're not too old for the toys."
Glowstar turned around to look at Kutsu, but instead her ears flattened to Kerrigan's words. Briefly. A brief moment of guilt before, "Wait... Why don't you just tear your ears off?" Glowstar asked with a tilt of her head. So this mayyyy have been her fault on why Kerrigan was here. It was more of a, whoa check out these cages full of cats. Whoa is that Thane, Kerrigan check it out this is hilarious! And as it turns out, things went wrong and now they were here, "At least you're not mad at me anymore," Her smile widened when she said it, shifting into that genuine, contagious grin.
"Tearing my ears off would do no damage to my ear drums. I'd still probably pick up the noise. And, I feel like they would be much less of a tasty treat than eyes would be." Her eyelids narrowed as she looked to the other group of cats. Of course, most of these fellow creatures hadn't been coerced into investigating by one of their closest friends. So, how did all of them get there?
"Also, hey, hey hey. No one said I wasn't still mad at you," she then quipped, her voice still a little shaky. The look in her eyes softened a little bit with the smile of the fellow leader. Glowstar really had Kerrigan wrapped more tightly around her paw than any other cat, and, really, that statement in and of itself was probably the reason that Kerrigan wasn't even all that surprised that something like this had happened to her. Glowstar was the bad luck charm she didn't want to get rid of. "Still pretty mad, but less murderously angry, although you keep saying meow too many more times and that will change again."
Fia Cendrillon was more bored than upset. The apprentice laid on her back staring at the ceiling looking uninterested in the current conversation. "Why don't we just kill someone, I'm sure that'll startle the twolegs enough for us to escape. Or we could just kill the twolegs when they come back, I suppose. Actually, I like that idea better, why don't we do that?" Glowstar's pretty granddaughter wasn't really talking to anyone in particular, mostly just throwing out random ideas as she flexed her claws in the air, swiping at nonexistent creatures of her imagination. They'd get out eventually, and besides, this wasn't the worst accommodations she'd ever had. In fact, it was downright cozy compared to most of her youth.
Blair, with an almost awed expression, trotted up to Glowstar, running his claws gingerly across her sides as she became preoccupied with Kerrigan, the ghostly Bengal son of Arden completely entranced by the pretty leader's fur, prized teddy bear lying temporarily forgotten by his paws. "Can I keep you for my gallery?" Now, to any normal cat, this was creepy enough of an idea as is. To Thane, who probably knew about the fact that Blair-kun really liked to kill and taxidermy pretty kitties, especially kits, this was a much darker, more sinister question, though his tone was utterly innocent as moonstone eyes rose to Green's emerald gaze, expectant and child-like.
Dealfinder pawed at the walls, the handsome black and white tom a perfect replica of his father, who was currently being held by Vera. For those who didn't know better, they might've thought Deal had escaped, until they realized the tom before them was much more youthful, lacking in scars, and smelled like WinterClan, the clan he'd joined not too long ago for a she-cat, ditching his mother, the High Priestess of SunClan. Oops. Hopefully Glowstar and Dragonswrath didn't rat him out, as there was a fifty-fifty chance that Foxstar decided to kill him, or tried to force him through initiation. Of course, those two weren't mutually exclusive concepts.
Peachblush just barely kept himself from grinning ear-to-ear at Thane's insult-compliment hybrids. He glanced around briefly, before smirking and giving an exaggerated huff. "Not in public, sweetpea," he said in a rather loud tone, a trollish grin plastered on his face.
Sagecloud was having less fun, having overheard Fia Cendrillon's suggestions - which to his horror, had mostly consisted of murder in some way or another. Then again, would it really be that bad if this was where he died? At least he had toys to keep him company in his final moments. "I volunteer to get murdered, if we end up going with that plan," he announced to no one in particular. He wondered idly if he could sneak any of the toys out with him whenever they finally escaped, glancing over at Kerrigan suspiciously. Probably not.
After she and Kerrigan had spoken about the whole... stolen kits and worked out a plan. Burningstar had been thrilled when Glowstar had invited them to explore... Except it had led to them all getting caught. Though she had admittedly been preoccupied by exploring every inch of the space they were kept in. The ginger she cat hadn't been annoyed too much by Glowstar meowing... at first. Though now that the meowing had stopped she poked her head out from where she'd hidden under a twoleg thing, paws over her ears. "Glowstar I love you but please don't start... repeating 'meow' over and over again." Burningstar requested moving to join her and Kerrigan.
Batair-kun frowned at his brother, "But brother he's father and my target. Vera wanted her dead... though I suppose going to your gallery could be arranged." He mused coming up beside Blair.
Burningstar glanced at the two Primal Instinct cats ear twitching. The ginger she cat was a little... unsettled by the ghostly and charcoal bengals. But she did her best to hide it.
Pumpkinpaw sat near Peachblush, the apprentice sticking near his mentor looking between him and Thane. "Ew." He meowed seeing what he presumed was flirting, "Get a den," He huffed turning and going over to where Spookpaw was playing with one of the toys. "Hey let me try!" He said eagerly, forgetting about Thane and Peachblush.
"Sure." Spookpaw pushed over one of the puff ball toys she'd collected. The apprentice was trying to make the best of the situation until they made it out of here. Better to have fun than to worry, that was her motto and so far it hadn't failed her, gotten her in trouble sure but not failed. The young she-cat was known for her pranks and mischief, and they weren't somethings he saw being able to help her nay here which worried her some but she merely shook the thought from her head. Darting off after the toy she'd sent towards the other apprentice, "I'm Spookpaw, and you?" She'd at least get to know who else she was stuck with here.
"Okay okay, I'll shut up," Glowstar grinned, a rare compromise coming from her. She turned and was about to respond to her granddaughter, but Thane did instead.
"Don't worry, we're on it," Thane reassured Fia Cendrillion, "Heh, I should bring you to the league, how old are you? Maybe we can still allow you in without an initiation. We can create good soldiers, but a violent spirit. It's hard to mold that." He snorted at Pumpkinpaw, but his gaze flicked back to the door, someone was coming. He flicked his tail in signal to his brother and lied in wait.
"Don't do it Fia, they're a bunch of posers who aren't like the originals and just try to copy them. Or they're a bunch of self pitying cats who are trying to be edgey and dark. They're super fake," Glowstar said, not keeping to her promise to Kerrigan for even a solid minute.
Just then the door opened, a three two-legs moved into the room. Thane hadn't expected three, but he also saw an opportunity. Three two-legs meant that more two-legs needed to leave the door open longer. Screw attacking, now was the chance to escape! Thane leapt clear over the two-legs, from his height, injuring himself on the way down just a bit, but knew enough to land into a roll and keep running. One of the two-legs said something and went out the door after Thane while the other two two-legs tried to close the door.
"Th-Thane!" Peachblush yelped, his secret mate's sudden mad dash for the door startling him. Instinct took over as he followed him out the door, only a few milliseconds too late to make it all the way through; he ended up wedged between the door and the doorframe as one of the Twolegs shut the door on him as he was halfway out, making him suddenly shriek with pain - and a little bit of embarrassment. "Thane, come back here and get me out!"
Sagecloud's eyes widened in panic as he caught sight of the SpringClan deputy's unfortunate mishap. "Someone do something!" he yowled, picking up one of the strange toys in a claw and flinging it at one of the Twolegs. It bounced off it harmlessly, falling onto the floor with a dull, rather depressing thud. "....Crap! That didn't work at all!"
Thane had certainly changed since they last met. Those were the oddest insults he'd ever heard. His brow arched and Ryker shot him an odd look, but said nothing. It was only when the tom took a flying leap off and out of captivity that he stared after him in shock, then slowly grinned. Now that was the brother he knew. He laid down complacently and stared at the captured SpringClan deputy, unsympathetic to his plight. "Do you two know each other?" he called instead, his ears twitching back. He knew his name, which was more than he guessed most cats here would know. Ryker wasn't getting any closer to the twolegs, though, not even for an escape attempt.
He'd already been kicked one, and it had left him with a broken rib. He'd gotten the message.
-
As Spookpaw neared him, the white tom reached out tentatively for one of the fluffy balls, his paw shaking. He tapped it once, twice, then sent it skirting away, and yanked his paw close to him again. "Spookpaw!" he yipped as she started to leave, his eyes stretching wide with terror. His friend had just come back, she couldn't leave him again! But there was no way he was getting up to chase her, there were so many cats, nope nope nope-
He swallowed hard as sudden chaos erupted with the arrival of the twolegs. At Sagecloud's call, he found the courage to rise shakily to his paws. "D-D-D-Don't th-threaten them!" Snowpaw pressed himself low to the ground as he scurried closer to the giant beasts. His eyes closed and he mumbled a prayer to the Moon God; then he pressed himself lightly against the large hind legs of one of the creatures, tipping his head back to mewl plaintively up at them. "Oh please, g-giant twoleg, don't hurt anyone!"
Glowstar had been content to play the long game, but anything to cause a bit more ruckus the more entertaining it would be. Glowstar darted past the two-legs legs and when one two-leg bent down to get ahold of Peachblush so he could open the door, Glowstar instead slammed into the door allowing Peachblush enough wiggle room to run.
Glowstar stepped back a bit and admitted "I'm seeing stars, that was a hard hit..."
Thane was running down the halls with the two-leg after him, but as he bolted and fled past the two-legs arms he soon began to realize that there was no way out. Instead he turned back in the direction he came to see what was the matter with Peachblush.
Mistyveil watched the drama ensue, but stayed curled up next to her toy, biting at a claw, "I wonder what two-legs do with cats..."
Kutsu sat in a twolegs arms, both amused as they watched the cat and mouse chase of the twoleg and Thane. Even if they made it out of that room, there was more doors. Kutsu was basically a pet to the twolegs, which meant he was allowed to go in and out. A lot had changed since he led toxicity. His mind went back and forth about whether or not to help the trapped clan cats.
Spookpaw had raced back towards Snowpaw when she'd seen the twolegs enter, completely abandoning her new found toy. For as brave as she tended to appear in any other situation, the twolegs always scared the living mouse dung out of her and now was no exception. The she-cat hide beside her fellow MoonClan apprentice, eyes closed tight, letting the tom protect her for once instead of the other way around. She'd frozen when the twolegs had captured them, scared of such large creatures and unsure what to do. She'd always known, and been told, she'd find herself in trouble one day, well here was trouble.
He had always known there was something off about him, and to be honest, it wasn't hard to find proof. But this situation just made him more certain. Spookpaw, his brave friend, cowering behind him, while he found if anything he was less afraid while they were around - comforted, even. He felt a stab of guilt as he rubbed against their legs and liked the feeling of them stroking him. He was a warrior, not a kittypet, but the soft little tom couldn't help but be more curious than scared. He stopped and looked back at Spookpaw, his eyes rounded with sympathy, and left the twoleg to lay down beside her again, resting his chin on her side. "It's okay," Snowpaw murmured quietly, "they're just big."
Peachblush wriggled out of the doorway, giving a slight nod of acknowledgement to Glowstar for her help before turning to Ryker and glowering. "Does it matter that much to you right now?" he hissed, darting out of the way of a Twoleg's iron grasp just in the nick of time. "We know each other from...gatherings."
Sagecloud, however, wasn't as nimble as the SpringClanner. "W-wait, stop!!!" he yowled as the Twoleg bent down and picked him up instead. "I-I'm sorry I threw that toy at you, I didn't mean it!!!"
