Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(amorensi, Primordialhaze, simplylight, racer, uniqcrim, @ian, this takes place right after the earthquake before Nightclan sets up temporary camp. The earthquake has taken many cats, and some have been lost in the aftermath of it still. So Burningstar takes some time to be with her family and take solace in their presence, others are welcome to join though too)
Daylight streamed down upon the nightclan cats who were gathered in the clearing. They had yet to set up a new camp, some still wary of having anything overhead, fearing the trees above them could be tipped over by the earth shaking's return.
Their sleep schedules were a mess, there was no shelter from the sun in the clearing, and thus sleep during the day was extremely difficult.
Burningstar heaved a heavy sigh, she hadn't slept in a while. Unable to rest while members of her clan had not yet been brought back to join the rest. Losing cats in the earthquake, and then Kerrigan. Her claws dug into the earth as she recalled what had been done to the former tsar. There would be retribution for that to come. But she'd need to work it out with Foxstar and Glowstar.
At the moment though the NightClan leader surveyed the area looking for her kits and her mate. Larkwing had taken a few patrols of the braver cats to begin surveying for where they could make a temporary camp. It would be a while before he returned with his findings and Burningstar wanted to take some time with her family.
She spotted the area of the clearing where the apprentices had crashed and headed that way. She knew her kits had made it out okay, but she hadn't had a chance to really sit with them and just... absorb all that had happened. So she looked for Beserkpaw, Bloodpaw, Bonfirepaw, Ironpaw, and Fiercepaw. While keeping an eye out for Lindon as well.

Bloodpaw glanced upwards at the sound of approaching footsteps as Burningstar made her way over to where the siblings were attempting to sleep. Honestly he hadn't slept much since the day that the ground had shook, used to the darkness of their camp to shield them from the sun. He blinked sleepily, a little purr brought forth at the sight of their adopted mother.

Just on the other side of Bloodpaw lay Bonfirepaw. The fluffy shadowy tom looked up with the others his own purr igniting like a mini thunderstorm in his chest. "Hey mom." he meowed.

Ironpaw stifled her purr as her adopted mother showed up, but her whiskers twitched happily. The flat-muzzled feline wasn't one to show emotions so freely, but her respect and love for Burningstar shone through her eyes. "Mama. Are you alright?" She asked, her gruff voice marked with a bit of concern.
Burningstar tried to keep her expression calm but the pain of NightClan losing it's home, of losing cats, of losing the confidence and trust in the land they lived and walked; on top of the relief in seeing all of her kits okay made her let out a soft noise bending her head. "I'm all right Ironpaw," She said softly moving closer, beckoning them in, like they were kits again and she could bring them all to her belly where they would snuggle together. "I'm just so relieved that you all are okay," She murmured. "You all were very brave during the shaking earth crisis. I'm so, so proud of all of you."
Berserkpaw's purr took on a gentle, comforting quality, one quite at odds with his ferocious appearance. "Well, having a leader and mother like you makes that a lot easier" He remarked, looking to his siblings for support.

"I agree. I think you hendled something so new so well." piped up Bonfirepaw as he moved into his mothers inviting presence he pressed his forehead to her shoulder. His own purr igniting in his chest.
Burningstar let out a soft purr giving Berserkpaw a loving lick on the head. "I'm so lucky to have you all. You're wonderful." She said with a mrrow of amusement, she shifted her focus to turn her head as far back as she could to look back towards Bonfirepaw. Her first son. It had filled her with such pride to see him grow and flourish in NightClan. "As leader you have to be prepared to handle the worst." Burningstar said a note of weariness in her voice. "But it's worth it." If Shiverstar had still been leader, none of her current children likely would be a part of NightClan now. Her leadership, though now faced with the greatest hardship she'd ever encountered in her life. Had granted her more opportunities than if she'd not taken the throne when Shiverstar stepped down.
"It is a very very trying job, sometimes you remember why it's worth it. Other times, it can be very hard to see that, when everything is strife around you."

"Well you are doing a great job momma; We love you. Your clan loves you" bloodpaw commented, pushing his shortened nose into the warmth of her fur. Trhough everything she had remained strong and calm, making sure that her clan was safe.It was easy to see why so many looked up to Burningstar.
Burningstar purred, "And I love you too Bloodpaw." She told him as she let him in closer, they were so big now. She knew the litter she'd adopted after Bonfirepaw had been large cats, but it still amazed her. They would be mighty warriors, and she would thank StarClan that she'd get to see them reach great heights.

Bloodpaw's purr rumbled in his throat, enjoying the scent and warmth of her fur. He hadn't snuggled with her like this since his promotion and it took him back to a simplier time. He felt at eas with her hovering over, knowing that she wouldn never let anything happen to them if it was within her power to do something about it.
"Thank you all for being here." Burningstar murmured, voice so quiet the sound of her mew was almost lost to the gentle breeze that picked up. "You are all so important to me. StarClan knows I would do anything for you."
She shifted to sit down welcoming her kits to her.
"But enough thanking our ancestors for our good fortune, it's been too long since we were all together. We've been busy, me leading the clan, and you all with your training. And I want to amend that immediately, how about you all tell me a little about your training?" She asked gently. "Or a story one of the other warriors shared with you."
For a brief bit let them all pretend that there wasn't a risk of their territory doing them harm, and just reconnect.

Ironpaw glanced around at her other siblings, waiting for them to speak first. Honestly, she had a hard time focusing on what was happening with her training because of the earthquake. She did remember something, though. "I brought down a hawk the other day." She rumbled, ears pricking excitedly at the memory. "It was huge!"
"I'm learning about the different stalking techniques for birds and mice!" Berserkpaw happily divulged. "I have to be extra careful because I'm so big and accidentally rustle branches and stuff. But I guess all of us have issues like that." he said, looking at his siblings.
Burningstar looked at Ironpaw amber eyes glowing with surprise and pride. "That's amazing Ironpaw!" She purred. "And Berserkpaw, it's good that you recognize your strengths and weakness, while your size might make stalking difficult at times, it means you'll be able to handle bigger opponents, or reach places most cats cannot, or provide plenty of fur to cuddle others with." Burningstar said with a mrrow of amusement as she playfully pulled Berserkpaw in closer giving him a fond lick on the head.

Bloodpaw smiled "Well I do have a funny story about my training partner Raspberrypaw. On our first time out, she only wanted to go chasing fireflies. I thought it was really silly at first, but then I realized that it was actually a great chance to practice moving quickly.... I also ended up jumping into the rive" he chuckled, remembering how embarressed he had been.
