Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He shook his head feverishly, not wanting to make the she-cat think as if she had tread on some unspoken truth. "Its okay, really! It happened a very long time ago. Like I said, I miss them, but I'm sure they're at peace. It was better than living on the streets and starving," the slate gray tom flicked his ears thoughtfully as he added, "It was painful at the time, but I had to move forward. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for all of my life experiences, y'know?"
Pebblefur nodded in understanding, her beautiful contagious smile returning. "That's a good way to see it" she added, remembering her own pain of losing her mate. She was sure he had died. He would never have left her or their clan. Mallowfur had fierce loyalty to both her and the clan. He would never just up and leave. Though he was a kind of cat that didn't like hurting others and seeing them in pain. She missed him very much and the pain still kept her awake at times. However, what Wolfconstellation said, made her think. He wasn't in pain anymore and he must be at peace. "I would have loved to meet them" she mewed, thinking about what his family must have been like.
Wolfconstellation smiled, feeling his chest swell for a moment at the good memories he'd cherished when with his family. "Yeah, both my mother and my sister were incredibly strong willed cats. They would have made great Warriors, if they had made it. Its probably why I make a half decent cat too," he said with a small chuckle. Glancing back at her, he noticed the way she had seemed so lost in thought, though he didn't feel it would be respectful to ask. "They both would have liked you, by the way. My mom and Ophealia, that is. I can't say the same for my father, though."
"I think you make more than a half decent cat" she complimented, feeling a bit awkward after she blurted that out. "But, uh, yeah, I wish I could have met them." She smiled warmly. "What was your father like? If you don't mind me asking."
His pelt prickled at the mention of his father, too caught up really to take any note of the compliment at most. He'd met him only twice, and in his recollection, twice had been enough. "He's... I — well, I don't really know where to even begin with him, honestly. I met him once when I was only a moon old or so. My father came to take my Half Sister, Diesidre, from my mother. They both disappeared after that. Actually, I haven't seen her in... a long time. Apparently they live in SpringClan, though — I wan't nothing to do with that," he said, his ears flicking back in lidded bitterness.
He laughed, shaking his head and giving a small wave of his tail. "No, its fine, really! Its not like I'm hiding any of the information, you know." Wolfconstellation sat suddenly, his tail flicking behind him as he added guiltily, "Plus its probably my fault for being a bit of a downer. I don't have a ton of happy memories. Which is probably why I should start making some."
