Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fawnheart smiled. The tom was right. She had to let her heart decide, not her mind. Fallclan almost felt like home to her now. They welcomed her in and took care of her while her previous clan didn't really care about her as much. She had friends and she had her apprentice, Whitepaw. However, Eternalstar made Springclan completely different now and it didn't quite feel like home anymore. It felt like a different clan. Besides, Foxfoot was here. If he liked her as she liked him, she may as well just stay. But going back to Springclan just didn't sound right to her. "Going back to Springclan doesn't sound right to me...honestly, I don't think I want to go back..." She admitted.
He nodded his head, listening to her intently. "So if it doesn't feel right, you need to stay here in FallClan." He shot up almost immediately after speaking. "After we get rid of this nasty disease, you should ask Thrushstar to stay as a warrior! I'm sure he wouldn't mind at all. I mentor you in hunting if that's the path you want to take. We could spend even more time together, apprentice." He purred in amusement, his fur warming at the thought of her moving permanently.
She shot up as well, excitement gleaming in her eyes. "You would really train me to be a warrior if I stayed?" She asked, feeling like this was a dream come true. Someone actually wanted her around and made her feel important.
He shot her a wink with a beaming smile. "Of course! I've never had a mentor, and I would much rather an adult than an apprentice." He chuckled. "Like I said, we could spend a lot more time training if you stayed. Then we could go on hunts together when you're a full-fledged hunter! Hunting is always better in pairs."
She purred as excitement warmed her inside and out. She could feel the bubbling sensation rising. "Do you really want me to stay?" She asked. Maybe if he wanted her to stay, that would give her some kind of clue as to if he really liked her or not.
Foxfoot looked at her directly with burning amber eyes. "I want you to stay, Fawnheart. I would love to get to know you better, and you staying here could be the start." He admitted to her. He looked slightly down as he finished his statement, face flush with emotion.
Her heart felt like it skipped a beat when he admitted to her that he wanted her to stay. Did he truly like her? She couldn't hold back the smile that parted her lips. "Then I will stay" she finally said. "I will talk to Thrushstar about staying!"
"I can join you if you want. Extra support wouldn't hurt, plus I want to be your mentor. Do you want to talk to him after we finish?" He asked her, eyeing their half-eaten quail.
Foxfoot gleamed and sat back down, taking another savory bite. He watched Fawnheart as they ate, studying her frame. They were the same breed and they got along so well. He really wondered who that tomcat she spoke about is, and if he would be a good match for her. Thoughts swirled in his head, not finding himself muttering aloud, "I would do better.."
He snapped out of his daze at her call. "Huh? What did I say? I don't know..." He shook his head as if to cool off the burning embarrassment he felt. Mousedung! What did she hear?! He bent toward the creek and took large anxious gulps of water.
His face burned even more at her question. "No... not yet. I... There's a she-cat that's caught my eye, but..." He didn't quite know how to word his thoughts.
"I..." He almost couldnt speak the words. "I think I..." His mouth watered as he nervously spit his sentence out, "I think I might.... fancy you, Fawnheart."
Her jaw parted in a silent gasp and her amber eyes widened. Her heart felt like it could soar and warm fuzzy feelings tickled her stomach. Then her lips twitched into a smile and she flattened her ears, "I...i think I fancy you too..." The words felt weird on her tongue. She had never admitted her feelings toward anyone before.
"Would you really give up your home and your job? For me?" He genuinely couldn't understand why she would choose him of all toms. He wasn't anything special, just an ordinary hunter. What did she see in him?
