Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
There was a sense of relief that washed over her at the tom's negative answer. Despite her own morbid curiosity, she didn't really want to hear that kind of gruesome tale. Her own eyes lifted when Emberburn's did, half expecting to see something in the sky above but feeling once again an uneasy calm when she noticed the sky was empty. Just an ebony abyss of scintillating white dots, a silvery moon like an all-seeing eye. "Let's hope that leaf-bare isn't harsh then..." She said, having to mentally force herself to pull her gaze away from the sky back to the world below. Just one more reason to fear the coming cold chill that had started to tint the air.
Emberburn nodded in agreement. "I just hate being hungry all leaf-bare, plus there normally isn't much out here anyway during the cold moons so I tend to stay away from it then." he responded.
She shivered a bit at the thought of hunger. Starvation was something she'd avoided the most since joining the clan, but the thought of going hungry again caused her heartbeat to race a bit. "Do you think it will get bad enough that we might starve?" There was a sort of primal desperation that tinged her voice despite trying her best to hide it. There were too many close calls in her past, and going hungry only reminded her of the nightmare she had just narrowly left behind.
"No, we've never had a leaf-bare that bad since I can remember, we're lucky because we have the forest and the river to hunt by as well, which means we usually always have a decent source of prey throughout the leaf-bare. Sometimes it does get scarce but never enough for us to starve." he answered.
A quiet yet audible sigh of relief arose from Diamondcascade, and almost immediately after the she cat looked as obviously embarrassed as she felt over being so concerned. She supposed it figured that leaf-bare here couldn't be that awful if they had so many cats to hunt and so much land to hunt in. "That's good to hear. I've heard some other cats make mention of leaf-bare getting bad, but... I'm glad it's not as bad as it could be."
