The moment Cornkit showed up, his lips spread into a grin. There was a smile on his face that was only ever brought out with his siblings, and having them all here made his shoulders relax slightly. "Yeah, we got you dinner," he puffed out his chest proudly, "we had to sneak past a bunch of warriors to get it you know!"
"Well if you did all the work, I s'ppose you get the first bite," Cornkit conceded to Wheatkit, flicking her on the shoulder with his tail. His smile grew with Magpiekit's, nodding for him to take a bite first as well. "Well done! You'll have to show me how you did it next time. I'm tired of eating last."

Magpiekit grinned, before nudging Cornkit. He was the oldest after all, and he took his job very seriously. "You can eat first," he replied with a smile, still trying to be the best older brother he could be, just like he promised their mother. "I bet once we're apprentices we can start getting our food earlier, you know? Ugh, I can't wait until we get to grow up; I'm sick of being at the bottom of the ladder."
