Skykit sighed, her fur flattening as some of her anger passed. "I know, but I hate hearing stuff like that." She muttered her ears lowering. Though she perked up when Brightkit nudged her and told her she was prettier. Skykit chuckled weakly, "I'll have to take your word for that." She said. "But I appreciate it." She told her friend, "I'm glad somecat noticed something else about me besides the fact I can't see." She grumbled kicking at the ground. "It's not my fault that me, Blazekit and Infernalkit all were born with disabilities unlike Raspberrykit." it was a sore spot for Skykit, especially as she looked at her mother and father who had no trace of such struggles. And yet three of their four kits had these issues. At least Raspberrykit didn't rub it in her siblings faces.

"It's not fair, but you can do anything that any other cat can" Turbulentkit snorted, angered that his den-mates would think less of her just because she couldn't see. "Remember that time that we snuck out of camp together? You were the only other kit willing to step up to try to help those in need. I know that you can do anything that you want to do, and that no one better get in your way" he said the last part playfully, knowing that she wouldn't be able to see his facial expressions.
Skykit's ears turned towards Turbulentkit when he spoke up and she managed to lift her head. "Thanks Turbulentkit, that helps." She said softly. "I just... whenever I hear that... it brings up the fear I won't be able to be a warrior." Some cats had asked how she was going to be able to be a warrior when she couldn't see. They noted how she wouldn't be able to see her enemies, or see her mentor showing her moves. And when she started going down that line of thinking it filled her with fear.

Brightkit saw her friend start to spiral. "Hey, no, you are a very smart and capable cat. Your mentor is going to be so impressed with you! You can even catch a moss ball when it's thrown at you! Not many cats can do that with their eyes closed." She pressed herself against her. "Let's go get some prey. I'm hungry anyways."

Turbulentkit nodded "Yeah I am hungry to. I wonder if the patrol brought back any rabbits? Those are my favorite, but I usually can not find enough kits to share it with!"
Specklekit scowled as the others tried to make him join them, and even retreated a few steps. As Skykit ran from the den he slunk toward the edges and attempting to hide out of sight, where they might forget him until the nest was cleaned up.

Twilightkit had pretty much cleaned up half of the nest when she noticed Specklekit trying to sneak away.
"HEY, get BACK HERE!" She yelled before dashing over to him and grabbing him by the scruff, dragging him back to the mess. "I'm not cleaning this by myself. I just don't want to get scolded by Soaringbird."
Skykit's fur began to flatten and she let out a sigh, though she pressed back against Brightkit. "Yeah... some prey would be great." The young gray tabby murmured. Though her voice was dull. It was clear that the damage of the words had been done.

Turbulentkit hated to see Skykit sad, as he glared at the offender. He trotted out of the nursery and brought back a rabbit for them to share, and as he returned he saw the tom being dragged back to the mess to clean it up. "I say let him get scolded" he scoffed
Skykit perked up when he brought the rabbit. "He probably will, mama doesn't like it when cats take notice about my blindness." Skykit admitted. "Especially since she says they just 'don't get it'"
"He'll prolly get it one way or another if he doesn't learn," Skykit remarked, before leaning forwards to dig into the rabbit and coming back with a big bite. She took a moment to chew and then swallowed before turning to acknowledge both Brightkit and Turbulentkit. "Thanks for coming to help me guys... it means a lot."
"THen get them to help you out!" Specklekit yowled defiantly back at Twilightkit, struggling in her grip. He glared at Turbulentkit as he passed by. "She won't yell at me, I didn't do anything wrong," he added in a quiet, sulky tone.

Turbulentkit spun around narrowing his eyes at Specklekit "Making your den-mate sad by pointing out something they can not control is wrong". He had to hold his tongue or he might have said something just as hurtful back to Specklekit. "You need to think about your words before they come out of your mouth."
"What?" Specklekit looked at him, confused. As far as he was concerned, they were all still upset that he ruined their nest; he couldn't understand what that made everyone else so mad. Had he missed something?
Skykit brightened when Turbulentkit told off Specklekit and his siblings she nudged him when he came close. "Thanks, I appreciate it." She meowed, "Here, there's plenty of rabbit for us all to share,"
"Maybe I'll be apprenticed first," he suggested to Brightkit with a proud sniff. He was young, but what did that matter? He glanced over at Twilightkit and nodded, not seeming to notice she was upset. "Nope. I won't. I don't want to."
