Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eshek shivered, and was immediately very angry with that reaction; stupid Pinesimmer, making butchery sound like foreplay. “It ain’t rocket science,” she replied testily, to cover up how fast her heart was beating. Her tone soothed when she focused on Luc again, lightly tracing her claws along his chest and tilting her head down at him with a smile. “I think somethin’ that would look totally out of place when you first look at it, but then you’re like ‘oh, he’s an Eerie, they’re all freaks anyway so of course it makes total sense’, and then the more you look at it you’re like ‘huh, that’s actually super cute and it’s like a commentary on the overlapping thresholds of tenderness and violence.’ And for that reason,” she gave Luc a hard tap over the heart with one claw, “I think it should be a little love heart.” Her face lit up with a smile, making her look uncommonly cute.
Lucistic comfortably tilted his head back in though, "That's true, there's a lot of options, I guess so long as they don't copy another Eerie's signature scar we're good," He said thinking back to his mothers scars over the neck or his uncles scar over his eye. He glanced at Eshek with slight uncertain about a scar over his chest, only because it was typically an Eerie scar from the other side of the family because of the Regime sentinel tradition of having scars on the chest. However his eyes immediately lit up with delight as Eshek went on. Why in the world did he think for a moment that Eshek wouldn't come up with the perfect scar. His expression melted over with warm delight, "Aw like a little heart over the chest?" he asked, but ventured further, this time his green gaze shining copper staring up at Eshek with a trouble makers grin, "Stenciled in by you?"
His tail wagged back and forth methodically sweeping into Pine for a moment, but slowed down. They were technically just a fake couple who also hooked in Pine, so he shouldn't be that touched... BUT HE WAS! Eshek was going to scar a special mark for him? He couldn't hide the glee that shot up in him, it had to last forever. "Hey so dashing devil," He said, turning to Pine, "You're able to ensure it scars? Like with certainty?"

Pinesimmer simply gave Lucistic a wink. "Absolutely. Wouldn't want her work to go to waste, would we? I'll make to sure to visit and check up on it every day as well, so it scars right." He had no problems at all in being confident about both minimizing the chances of infection, while maximizing the likelihood of scarring. With such meticulous effort on Eshek's part, he suspected the cut would by more likely to scar anyhow, but the extra assurance was always good.
“You’re gonna visit DayClan?” Eshek asked Pine with wide eyes, her voice hopeful and slightly disbelieving. “Every day?” She immediately snapped out of it and gave a bony-shouldered shrug, turning her attention back to Luc. “Whatever. If we’re even home. Which we might not be. We got, y’know, maverick things to do. Like, uh,” she thumped her tail against the ground as she thought, “replacin’ kits with baby birds to make flyin’ kits and chirpin’ apprentices. It’s in the works.” The last sentence was said as a self-conscious mumble as she fiddled with Luc’s short, glossy fur. But when he grinned up at her, her expression slowly spread back into a joyful grin as well. “Stencilled in by me,” she purred in agreement.
“Okay — unfortunately I don’t think this’ll hurt that bad but Pine and I can throw you off a cliff or somethin’ later. Now hold still, it’s gotta be perfect or we’ll have to kill you and find some other giant to be a stand-in ‘cuz I’m not havin’ someone going around with sub-standard work attributed to me.” With her tongue sticking out the side of her mouth, Eshek leaned in, eyes narrowed in concentration, and expertly carved a tiny, rounded little heart into Luc’s chest. She didn’t do it directly over his heart; instead, she did it up and slightly to the side, so it was on the end of his left collarbone. Finally, blood staining the tip of her white paw and collecting in a droplet on one claw, she leaned back and tilted her head with a big smile. “There. Property of Eshek and Pinesimmer. Platonically,” she hastened to add, giving Luc a startled look. “Cute though, huh?” She went back to grinning, leaning her cheek on her bloodied paw and brushing the other back and forth over the heart, perfectly satisfied. It had sure been a while, and who better to help kick off her torture career again than Luc? Maybe she could start a business, aesthetic torture for kawaii body modification.
"AHHH!" Lucistic screamed before laughing, but quickly stiffened up, remembering what Eshek said about making this perfect, "I'm kidding, you're right, not that painful he said, letting her go on.
He waited uncharacteristically patiently, despite the leisurely pain he seemed more content than thrilled. She had a focus in her gaze that he never got to witness, something like watching lightning concentrate into a bottle, a marvel thought to be impossible. That was Eshek, putting lightning in a bottle for him, churning her chaotic energy into art that she chose to imprint onto him eternity.
“There. Property of Eshek and Pinesimmer. Platonically,”
He smiled up at her with that contagious grin, but this time it was softer for her, "Hey, we're a couple remember? Gotta stick it to the world, don't tell me we're gonna bail on that now," He said gently. We can play pretend a little bit longer...
He suddenly noticed Pinesimmer's stare, blushing slightly, his acid green eyes turning up to the sky, "You know a hypnotic kiss me eye like yours should come with a warning. Really not prepared for that every time I make eye contact with you, it's like a sirens."

"Yeah, platonic my ass. This is romantic, Eshek." Pinesimmer grinned. While Eshek had been working, he'd went around to grab some herbs he thought would help stall the healing process and ensure scarring. Which hadn't taken much time at all, leaving him the chance to watch the last of the work done until Luc caught his eye and it narrowed with his smile. "You flatter me. No point in preparing, we're a couple now, so you get me forever and always. Though if you kiss me, I make no promises you can escape the enchantment."
Eshek grinned back down at Luc, equally soft, the rest of the world and the reality of their situation forgotten in those few seconds. She had the strongest urge to kiss him, and right then it felt like something she could truly do, something so natural that would just fit in unquestioned and reciprocated in the quiet magic of the moment. Then he turned to Pine and Esh sharply dropped her gaze, pushing herself slightly off Luc. This is romantic, Eshek. She forced herself to grin back, but her head was still slightly bowed and her eyes averted. It wasn’t fair, that this was everything she wanted and it was just a joke that would end soon.
“Yeah, don’t take him up on it,” she warned Luc in her usual upbeat voice, coming back to herself and the teasing even if it made her heart ache with everything she couldn’t have. “He kissed me like one time and since then I haven’t been able to get rid of him, he’s just always there,” she turned her head to Pine, giving him a toothy, goading, narrow-eyed grin, “kissing.”
