Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She blinked for a moment, then finally sat the kitten down and began to nose around in her fur. Meadoweyes searched for any type of injuries, sniffed a few times for blood, then began to look her face over. Working at giving some type of answer for Ghostcrown, but also speaking softly to the kit. "It's okay, is something hurt? Shh... calm down so you can tell me what's hurting you dear."
Mothkit's screams only stop as she hitched and fought for the breath to continue. She gasped a few times and then cried, "my paws hurt!!!!" They didn't appear to be broken.
"Like-- like a herd of rabbits jumped up and down on them," Mothkit sniffed. Her teary eyes trained on the warrior, and before Meadoweyes could even touch her, she shrieked in pain again, like she'd been stung. "Ohhh they hurt!"
Ghostcrown was worried too; he was glad that they had rescued the kitten before danger befell her, but he was worried now that she had hurt herself. He hoped it wasn't bad.
Within a few minutes of walking, Mothkit stopped mewling entirely. She was getting bored though and started to wiggle in Meadoweyes grasp. "Put me down I wanna walk!"
Meadoweyes sighed softly and gently sat her down. At least she would be able to observe if walking really did hurt Mothkit. "Fine, just be careful and take it slow.." They'd know simply in a few seconds if walking did cause the kitten pain at least.
“Okay.” Mothkit stepped forward, wobbly. “It’s ok…. it hurts a litt- OH what’s that?!”Her gaze fell on a crisp leaf in their path and she charged forward recklessly to tackle it, apparently fine now.
Mothkit scampered along cheerfully, enjoying the adventure once again.
"Kits are like that sometimes," Ghostcrown laughed. "My kits were that age when I met them. Raystrike looked at me for the first time and said I was ugly."
Ghostcrown's smile wavered just a tad, unsure now if she was playing along or upset with him. "Well, I think she just has a joking spirit; we're close enough now," he assured her. "And she thinks I'm very handsome."
