Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( Fair warning to anyone replying to this, it's gonna attempt to be somewhat of a speed rp, so if you don't post quickly enough, your char will just be left behind. Feel free to jump in or out randomly at any point with a character, however! xD )
Brilliance, otherwise known to SunClan as Brilliantbeacon, had been living in the Regime some time now. And today was the first day she was going to see her mother, mostly because Shule had given Littlestar permission to visit the she-cat. Could Brilliance have gone back to SunClan? Yes. Did she want to.... ehhhh.
Since her mother had gotten here, Scout Kanoni had just been leading her through the tunnels in silence, thinking of something to say. "How are you faring?" She asked simply, feeling the weight of tension real or imagined, laying thick on her shoulders. racer

There was really only one question on her mind, as Littlestar was led down into the darkness of the tunnels. The silver leader should probably have been more concerned for her own safety, but at the current moment her mind was only on Brilliantbeacon. Besides if anything happened, they were directly underneath DayClan’s territory and within close proximity of SunClan. Even if something did happen, they would come for her. She looked over to her guide who seemed to be more tense than she was, having been lost in her own thoughts “well enough, but It will be better once I get to speak with my daughter”
Brilliance stopped dead in her tracks when Littlestar spoke, looking suddenly bemused. "You... are speaking to your daughter." Had she really changed so much since leaving SunClan that her very own mother couldn't recognize her. "Did. Did you really not notice?" She took an unconscious sort of step back in her shock, staring at the SunClan Priestess as if she were suddenly a stranger to her.

"Of course I know my own daughter" she replied, lifting up one paw to gently touch Brilliantbeacon's cheek "but since I have come all this way to see you, all you have done is lead me around the darkness of the tunnels trying to make small talk. When are we going to stop and get to have an actual conversation?" she really couldn't hold it in any longer, the question that had been burning at the forefront of her mind. Her paws coming to a firm stop as she looked at her daughter with adoration "Look I know you are worried that I am going to try and convince you to come home, but that is not why I am here. I have one question for you, and if you can answer that honestly than I will be satisfied. You can send me away back to SunClan if that is what you want, or we can continue this small talk in the darkness if you would rather..."
Littlestar took a deep breath, trying to get to the point "Are you happy here?"
Brilliance Kanoni let out a slight breath as Littlestar explained. That made more sense. She watched her mother critically still, however, not quite seeming entirely at ease with the feline even as she cupped her cheek. Her shoulders did relax slightly when the Priestess stated she wouldn't try to convince her to return. She didn't realize how much she was dreading that push until it never came, and she looked a bit smaller now, less stiff soldier... more her. The siamese didn't have an immediate answer, however, she had to think about it. "I'm not sure if I'd call it happiness," She answered, looking off to the side for a long moment before meeting her eyes to Littlestar's again, a new sort of fire in their blue depths. "I'd call it freedom. The Regime is strict and it has it's rules.... but I can be who I want to be, not who I'm expected to be."
It took a few moments for Littlestar to answer, not quite expecting the answer that she had been given. But when the answer came, it was genuine "As you should be" she withdrew her paw, though she felt cold with the loss of contact "Brilliant...Brilliance, I wish that I could rewrite time. To go back and do things differently. I have made many mistakes, but the one thing I will never regret is you and your siblings. As much as I long to have you at my side, seeing you forge your own path and be independent fills me with more joy than I could ever convey. I wasn't strong enough to break free of the life that was chosen for me at birth, but you.... You are stronger than I could ever hope to be" she smiled slightly, "never loose that fire. I am very proud of you, and should you ever need me I will always be in your corner cheering you on. Even if that is from afar"
Brilliance thought Littlestar's words would have affected her more than they did. She wasn't sure what changed between then and now, but her mother's didn't seem quite so... influential as before. Of course, it had been quite some time since they'd really talked, so perhaps that explained the distance. The days of them visiting WinterClan in honor of their heritage were long past, they had stepped onto different paths, whether or not either of them wanted to admit it. She was almost disappointed to realize that she didn't hold onto her mother's words as strongly as she once had, it felt like the loss of something she wouldn't get back, all the while being the start of something new. Even still, she smiled a bit, leaning forward to briefly touch her nose to the Priestess' cheek before drawing back slightly. "We can't rewrite the past, but we can make a new future." She answered, "Shule may complain, but if you ever need anything from me, or the Regime, I'll do all I can to help you, you know. Just because you're my mom doesn't mean you have to do everything alone."

Perhaps somewhere in the back of her mind she had hoped that her daughter would change her mind and return with her to SunClan, but she intended to keep her promise. Even as the pain of doing so caused her heart to ache "That means a lot..."she replied, once her daughter's nose had lifted. It was difficult to think ahead to when the two of them might stand on opposite sides, but for now she was content in knowing that Brilliance was alive, doing well, and being who she was always meant to be. Not who she wanted her to be.
"There is something else that you should know...." she paused, gaze lifting to meet hers "Jetfire is alive"
Brilliance hadn't expected that revelation, and unlike their previous subject of conversation, this one absolutely did affect her, her jaw dropping open. Everything surrounding her sister was muddy at best. She'd been mates with Bloody, Ghostcrown had attempted to murder her, she'd almost died in her kitting. But the details were fuzzy, she didn't have particularities about how happy she'd been, or just about anything else. Brilliance had simply assumed it had to do with Bloody, and since she hadn't been given any information otherwise... presumed Jetfire to be dead. "What? Where is she? Tell me she's not with Bloody." The Scout looked desperate to hope that the she-cat was far, far away from the tom who'd nearly killed her for standing up to him, the reason she'd had to remain in the Regime for a long while in the first place. She didn't want to believe Jetfire was still with him, but she couldn't put the idea out of her head.

"No, she is not with Bloody" she agreed softly shaking her head from one side to the other
She could still see her daughter's broken body in her mind, torn open from chest to tail, nothing but a sack of bones with a swollen stomach. The pregnancy had very well nearly killed her "Your sister.... she had been through a lot, but is finally on the path to recovery. She is living in SwiftClan and has a new mate now, one that would do anything to take care of her and to see her smile" she may not have been all that fond of Firetooth, but she couldn't deny the love that the two of them shared
"But she isn't the same cat that we once knew..." it was subtle, but Brilliance might notice the slight trembling of her mother's paws as she spoke "she asked me to tell you, and her other siblings the truth of what happened to her. It's not going to be an easy story to hear"
Brilliance wasn't generally a super huggy type. At least, as far as she could recall. But she gently laid her tail across her mother's shoulders, sensing the need for it in that moment. "If we're going to have a difficult story, then the least we could do is find somewhere comfortable to sit, and not just stand around in the tunnels." She suggested, gently pulling her mother along towards HQ, where there were mossy places far more comfortable to sit and talk. It was rare to get a day off nowadays, so it would likely be busy as ever, though to Littlestar it would look incredibly slow, given the size differences of the groups. But Scout Kanoni lead them to a few mossy rocks on the edge of where the tykes resided and where Shule called meetings from. It was a cavernous space, with plenty of nooks and crannies for hide and seek, yet soft enough that even rough play wasn't dangerous.

Littlestar nodded in agreement, settling in on the mossy rocks. A few cats passed by, but for the most part it seemed rather empty and safe place to speak "I'm telling you this because you are her sister. She felt like her family should know the truth, but for her safety It would be best for this story to be known only to our ears. For her sake, it is best if the others believe her to be dead. I can't tell you what to do with the story that I am about to share with you, but I do hope you will honor your sister's wishes in keeping this just between our family"
The silver queen paused "It started back when Jetfire was only an apprentice. She and Silverfringe apparently both fell head over heels for the same tom. The two of them competed for their affection, both of them ended up pregnant as apprentices"
"Sorrowfularia." Brilliance echoed, understanding who her mother was talking about immediately. "Remind me to kill them, or have Silverfringe kill them whenever I see them again." She'd never much liked the Janus, the feline was far too slippery. Of course, she never understood her sister's infatuations with them in the first place, so perhaps she shouldn't talk. She didn't answer her mother's question about secrecy, though she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize her sister's safety. After all, if she wasn't with Bloody, then Bloody might come for her.

"Yes, unfortunately. Though Silverfringe seems to have them quite handled now a days... " she shook her head, the image of Silverfringe dragging them around in their pink spiked collar a hard one to shake "Jetfire went to Sorrowfularia to tell them of the pregnancy, but Sorrowfularia rejected her in front of Silverfringe. They claimed that the kits Jetfire was carrying wasn't his, that she was just jealous of her sister now that the two of them were officially mates. Jetfire felt rejected and ashamed. I should have picked up on the signs, I knew something wasn't right, but I didn't know what it was and I was dealing with so many other things.... I should have made more time for her... Pushed her a little harder to tell me the turth" there was regret dripping on every word, but there was nothing she could do about it now. Nothing that she could say that would make it easier to swallow
"This was the same time Bloodyrondo lost Satinpaw... The two of them bonded over her loss, and eventually Jetfire confided in Bloodyrondo that she was pregnant. He offered to step in and claim the kits were his, so that she wouldn't be shamed"
"She better, if they step out of line again, I'm helping take her mate's head off. I'm sure there's an exception in the SunClan rules that could be made." Brilliance grumbled. "I can see why she'd pick Bloody, considering he was the kits uncle. But she couldn't pick ANYONE else? Why that arrogant brat."

“Only she knows the answer to that… it was a decision she still regrets” there was a sadness to her tone, that she couldn’t hide “You know what happened next… Jetfire didn’t know if Bloody’s plans to overthrow me,and when it happened it was as much of a shock to her as everyone else. He threatened her… made he play the role of his mate to rub it in our faces that he had won. To hurt me….”
”she was told that if she stepped out of line, that we would all be killed”
"Am I surprised? Not at all." Brilliance sighed. "Just add Bloody to the kill list. I almost succeeded that one time too. If not for the crowd, I probably would have." She'd been so close. She didn't regret it, despite how badly she'd been injured. "Poor Jetfire."
Was there more she could say? Probably, but now didn't seem the time. She was more inclined to want to keep quiet and hear the story, than interject too much of her opinion on the matter. At the very least, however, Brilliance seemed more herself now, than he had been while they were walking.

“I wish that was the worst of it…”
“This is where what you believe to be true won’t line up with what I am going to tell you… Jetfire was disgusted by Bloodystar, so much so that she fell into a deep depression. Despite her pregnancy she stopped eating, unable to deal with the guilt of being free while we were all in chains. Eventually…. She became desperate enough to try and take her own life. She didn’t want her kits to be born in such a harsh reality, and she probably would have succeeded… but she was caught, Ghostcrown stopped her”
It was unbelievable, but remembering the few glimpses she'd had of Jetfire, the snippets she heard while a prisoner, Brilliance would be lying to say she was surprised. Rather, there was an immense sadness on her features, a guilt for her own failure in killing Bloodystar when she had the chance to free her sister from him once and for all. So close, and yet not far enough.
Brilliance nodded once, waiting for her mother to continue.

"Ghostcrown hid the the truth from Bloodystar, but it wasn't quite enough to stop the torment that Jetfire was going through... However his companionship helped to keep her going, the two of them growing close as my kits that she nursed played with Ghostcrown's. The final straw was when Bloodystar told her that after her siblings were married off, that the two of them would also tie the knot. Binding her soul to his for all eternity, even in death she would be unable to escape him. Out of desperation she decided to try again. She waited until Bloodystar was away completing Silverfringe's marriage. She took a mix of poisons that she had hidden in the herb storage. It sent her body into spasms, and it should have killed her. By all means it should have... Had any one thing gone differently, she wouldn't be alive. Discorantmelody forced charcoal down her throat and ran for help. When Bloodystar arrived, he sent for Mountainsound. He thought she was beyond saving. He cut the kits from her with no herbs to help ease the pain. She felt every agonizing moment, as they were pulled from her"
