Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sagepaw nodded approvingly as he crept forward, noting the difference in his noise levels. It was a marked improvement, and she couldn't help but feel another glimmer of pride. "Now maybe you'll get within three feet of a mous- hey!" He had lunged for her tail and she whipped it out of the way, giving him a firm smack on the head.
"Get your eyes checked, Moonboy. I may be small, but I'm no mouse." For once, something close to a genuine smile appeared on Sagepaw's features. This was fun- at it was also scary that it was fun. Her smile faltered, and she glanced up at the sky. "I should head back to get some dinner," she said, moving towards the edge of the clearing. "See you at training tomorrow?"

A laugh left his mouth, and for once, he really didn't mind being called Moonboy. It was actually kind of fun messing around with Sagepaw, as grumpy as she was. Maybe she did have a sense of humour, and there had to be a reason why he enjoyed picking on her so much compared to everyone else.
Still, the fun had to end, and even though she had yanked her tail out the way, he'd enjoy it if he could play around with her like they were kits rather than facing this grumpier, unfriendly version of Sagepaw. He felt his ears drop a little at her dismissal, but he straightened up, giving her a shrug. "Yeah, I suppose," he replied casually, giving her a small smile regardless, "I'll see you tomorrow."
With that, Sagepaw gave him one last tail twitch in farewell before setting off. Honestly, she was relieved to be away from him- they had been rather... friendly, in that last part of the session, and she felt a strange uneasiness in her stomach.
Sagepaw didn't know how to be anyone's friend. She'd only end up disappointing and being disappointed. Better to keep her distance.
