Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sadly we are in need of a new deputy/Heir. Please remember you can only try out for this position if you do not already have a leadership position anywhere else on the site. Tryouts will last two weeks or until we feel we have enough people who have tried out. Coding Ability: I have a great deal of experience with coding. I've created several layouts, many for my own clans that I've led, and I now create website skins for commission. While I personally prefer HTML, I'm well versed and comfortable enough in BBCode to work with it when need be.
Why Chose You for the Position?: I'd love to be of help in WinterClan. My leadership in WinterClan was unfortunately cut short as the added responsibility of being an admin on top of it made my life on Classic difficult. I'd love to have another shot at making WinterClan great and helping out in whatever way possible. I love being of service to others and when I'm staff of a clan or group, I make it my personal mission to ensure the happiness of its members and the overall activity and wellbeing of the clan or group.
Why WIC?: WinterClan's come a long way in the last few years. I'd love to continue to help it on its path to greatness and maybe to have a second shot with it. I want to prove my worth to the clan itself and give it my all. I also just love the 'royal' concept behind WinterClan's ranks and culture. It's a lot of fun and different from anything else on the site.
Relationship of Your Cat with the Staff:
Wintrystar: Northernlights would respect Wintrystar, first and foremost. A she-cat who's brave, collected, calm, yet fantastically strong in ways not just physical, she's everything Northernlights hopes to be one day. Though Wintrystar may not allow many close to her heart, Northernlights would hope for a friendship, if nothing else a mentorship.
Roseshade: Northernlights could possibly dearly love Roseshade like a sister she never had. Though Northernlights doesn't remember much about her past or her family, Roseshade's rough and tumble personality could be enough to help melt her frozen heart and help her to have some fun and adventure in the oasis of WinterClan.
Sweetcrema: Northernlights is quick to not only accept but welcome with an open heart anyone willing to regard her with anything other than the frigid hostility that WinterClan's supposedly known for. She would love to become close friends with Sweetcrema and maybe even be as close as siblings. She could be her confidante, or even take the stance of an older sister in situations. Northernlights loves expanding her family with those willing to give her the time and patience.
Agonywail: He is a tom that Northernlights' heart would ache for. I can definitely see her wanting to get close and try to warm his heart, at least even if it was just the two of them, so that he wouldn't feel so alone and in need of proving himself. She can understand that near bone-deep desire, but understand all the more the importance of letting one's reputation slip away in privacy so one can heal.
Dottymask: Northernlights would respect her bravery and the heart of her intentions, even if she may at times silently wonder as to the effect that certain actions may have as far as consequences are concerned. Deep down, though, Dottymask could possibly be a mentor to her as well, in the same light as Wintrystar – giving her a chance to hone her strong and unyielding exterior so she isn't taken advantage of by her soft heart.
Frostcloud: If there was anyone that Northernlights would see herself in, it would be Frostcloud. Between the two of them, they could be powerful battle sisters and she would want no other to enter into battle with. A friendship could spark from this or simply an alliance of sorts, but Northernlights would respect and deeply appreciate Frostcloud for who she is and the fact that she never backs down from being herself.

NORTHERNLIGHTS SPIRIT OF ICE + Within the spiraling winds of snow, glimmering crystals raining down, and dancing lights far above, a being rises through the fog. She is a creature of the wild, beautiful yet cold, gentle yet fierce. With a pelt of ebony that seems to glitter like a black diamond adorned by shimmering white swirls that seem to have come from the very ornate snowflakes that descend from the heavens above in the land she calls home and blue eyes like reflecting frozen pools, she is both queen and guardian of the land of frost. Though her past may be a mystery to many, to those willing to grow close and warm her frozen heart, it is a story that yields many an emotion. Sophisticated, playful, peaceful, ferociously protective, she is guardian first, obsydian princess of the tundra second.

Past Positions : Mostly just rp positions from my old accounts that I cannot recall. I was RR Scout Superior as a deputy for a brief period a few years ago. Currently MoonClan MCA.
Coding Ability : I can edit pre-existing code and few a few text basics, but nothing fancy.
Why Chose You for the Position? : Because I crave power. But really I would love to have a clan to come up with plots to get others involved in/excited about WinterClan. I would like to think I have original plot ideas, interesting characters, and perhaps enough daring to trying something wild. Additionally I have basically hit my self enforced character limit so all the ones I have now are going to hopefully be really well developed.
Why WIC? : I never have been very active in WinterClan, either with maybe one or no cat on previous accounts. However this time I created a cat for a tryout thread on a whim. I ended up very attached to him and so I made a whole family. Now I’m invested in creating a family legacy. Additionally I like the idea of WinterClan being harsher than others because I do need to create more evil/morally grey cats and here is a nice middle ground. It’s stretching me a bit as I realized most(if not all) of my cats tend to do the right thing.
Relationship of Your Cat with the Staff: Wintrystar - Windsweptsoul respects her as a leader though struggles with her personal/moral choices. He does not understand her treatment of the demon litter and her value placed in pure blood. Yet he knows there must be a reason behind her decisions and so he that keeps him from questioning her actions. Windsweptsoul was raised in a close knit WinterClan family and so is perhaps more emotionally available to help his clanmates than Wintrystar.
Roseshade - He is wary of her, though he can’t quite place why he feels like he shouldn’t completely trust her. Windsweptsoul, unlike Roseshade, does not have to be the center of attention and so they would be able to get along at the very least. If she softened slightly as they got to know each other more he would be more than willing to have a friendship with her, though he would probably always try to push her to be kinder. Sweetcreama - Windsweptsoul would very easily get along with her kind, gentler nature. He would, despite her own skills, want to protect her even though she was trained as a warrior and a mate. He would be more likely to go to her over Roseshade, as she seems more likely to listen to his philosophical rambles.
Agonywail - Agonywail rubs Windsweptsoul the wrong way with his tendency to act tough. If the Bengal let down his guard the two would likely be able to get along. Yet Windsweptsoul is pure blooded with a large family, the exact opposite of Agonywail so there would definitely be a culture clash due to their upbringing. Windsweptsoul however is always willing to give others a chance and would likely try to extend a friendship.
Dottymask - He respects her service and loyalty to the clan but hates how she treated the Demon litter. So because he is not a fan of conflict tries to avoid her unless necessary. Also she is just rather intense, something the goes against his more go-with-the-flow nature. Any relationship between the two would only ever be strictly business, tolerated only due to clan responsibilities.
Frostcloud - She does her job well and seems to be the nearly perfect image of a WinterClan warrior. So while Windsweptsoul has to commend her for that, he struggles to develop a relationship due to the fact that she shows no emotions. He would struggle to try and connect with her, never one to hide his own emotions.
Cat Name & Bio : Windsweptsoul A rather standard sized tom underneath his thick coat. Windsweptsoul comes from a long line of WinterClan cats and has developed a rather well suited body. His paws are a bit oversized, not just because he is a polydactyl on all four paws. His coat is dense, short on his legs and face to avoid snow build up. His fur is a mix of gradients, white around his chest and slowly fading to a rich brown around his hips. He has dark seal points on his face, legs, and tail. A tiny white snip on his lip fades into an idea of a blaze. That matches his snowshoe marked feet. His eyes are a pretty shade of blue, not unlike the color of a blooming cornflower. His family can trace their lineage back generations nearly to the beginning of WinterClan, his ancestors having seen many changes yet stayed steadfast to their home. Windsweptsoul is just as devoted to his clan, finding nowhere else nearly as perfect for him. He is often surrounded by his family, a boisterous family who is prone to playing pranks on each other. Yet he is more of a thinker than a prankster, often trying to engage in debates with anyone who will talk to him. Windsweptsoul could beat be described as a philosopher, trying to figure why the world works like it does. While he believes in his gods, he is prone to questioning their methods. With the help of his grandfather, Smokesignal, he has learned many of the stories of the clan's early days. Someday Windsweptsoul wants to find a way to preserve all the stories he grew up hearing for future generations

I think I'm missing one... but there we go haha
Coding Ability : I would say I'm advanced in HTML/CSS, fine at JS, and proficient in Java. BBCode probably won't take me too long to learn considering it is front-end. Overall, my coding ability is fine.
Why Chose You for the Position? : So, I realize I'm a long shot because of my recent activity and position hopping. I think it's been difficult for me to find where I fit outside of RR. Because of this, I am fully aware that I will probably not be a first choice. However, I really want to be active. I think that Winterclan would be a good fit because it's not a completely new clan for me. I used to be pretty involved with it a couple of years ago and it was never one that completely overwhelmed me. Plus, being on staff here is a good chance for me to step up my game considering the activity standard is higher. Ultimately, I want this position because I really want to be active and involved.
Why WIC? : Winterclan has not always been my top clan in the past, but it is probably the one I have some of the best memories in. I think the character I have in mind will fit well here. Not to mention, I have somewhat become a secluded person in the past year due to life circumstances so, not to be sappy, but Winterclan currently fits me and where I am in my life ahaha.
Relationship of Your Cat with the Staff:
Wintrystar -- Well, Wintrystar and her kind of know each other from before. I think Tuskblood will end up having a lot of respect for her because their personalities mesh well. She may think her to be too serious sometimes, but then again she has no room to talk.
Roseshade - Tuskblood can really relate to the tomboy personality, so maybe they would be friends? Idk, because it could go either way and she could end up clashing with her.
Sweetcrema - I think she might be someone who would soften Tuskblood's abrasive shell. She's sometimes weary of sweet characters and can grow exhausted of them. I think she would end up being protective of Sweetcrema in the end.
Agonywail - First off, I love the name. Anyways, being not a pureblood, I think she would find some connection to him. She would be curious about his past language and heritage. Also, Tuskblood would probably want to work with him because of being a knight.
Dottymask - I think Tuskblood will be impressed by her in a way because of her desire to give her kits a better life but also concerned about how hard she is on them. Not to mention, she respects anyone who is proud of their bloodline. She would be curious about why Dottymask is so desperate to keep them in check and why she does so fiercely, but probably not pry.
Frostcloud - Tuskblood would probably be on edge around Frostcloud but have some secret respect for her in the end. She's the type that would make it difficult for her to be open or friendly around, but she would work with her without complaint. In fact, she might prefer to work with her.
Cat Name & Bio : TUSKBLOOD - simplylight "People think we're evil? Do I look evil to you?" Stalwart to the point of fault at times and gruff in nature, there is a thin wall between those pale eyes and whatever they desire. She's beastly and holds a presence of independence and pride well. Imagine a sunny field of daisies so delicate and beautiful they could make any cold heart sing, and in the middle there is a boldly off-putting pile of nettle just waiting to catch your paw? That's your picture of Tuskblood. Her name is Tuskblood for several reasons. First, her strikingly monstrous appearance. While she has a way of carrying her self that gives her a raw, rugged kind of beauty, there is no escaping that underbite. Two ivory, pointed teeth stick out from her lower jaw, and her muzzle is a bit flattened to make way for them. Her build is that of a smaller lion. Thick bands of muscles run down a big-boned frame, giving no doubt of her power. Long, dense ebony fur covers those muscles, adding to her size. On her strong-jawed face are two pale green eyes that almost appear to be judging at all times. No doubt, she is fearsome-looking. Many believe that she harbors a number of secrets about past battles and murders. She does not reveal whether those rumors are true or not... However, despite her rough nature, Tuskblood has a chaotic good soul. She is fierce in battle, yet compassionate to the point of sacrificing herself for her clanmates. She is not scared to voice her opinion and make known her desires, and she is fairly stubborn, but she is always considering what is best for the clan. Her desire is to create a prosperous, thriving army of cats who do not fear anything except for the bond of their hearts to be broken. Is she awfully prideful? Not necessarily. More like, she knows that her personality and appearance is abrasive enough to usually get her way. That being said, she does value alliances with the right people. They have to fit the mold she desires. Now, on to her past. Tuskblood found Summerclan when she was about the age of an apprentice. Some members traveled through her stronghold's territory while on a quest. At that time, there had been a ruinous battle between her little tribe and the neighboring tribe. What those Summerclan members stumbled on was a scene of grief. And there, in the rubble, was this young cat. She was now orphaned and horror-stricken. The group adopted her as their own and gave her a new purpose. She managed to meld together the religion and code of the strongholds to that of the warrior code. While she still has a connection to her ancestors and their beliefs, Tuskblood has always embraced other religions and clan life in general. Honestly, they are not that different. Her life was fine until she met Chimerahunt. She served her clan as a deputy for a long time, but when her heart told her to help Waterclan, she moved and left everyone behind. For the first time in her life, she might have loved someone but that was unrequited and short-lived. Tuskblood has never been one for deep, emotional feelings anyways. When it became obvious, painfully in fact, that she was no longer needed, she left to find her family once more. A bitter root had taken hold of her heart at that point, which both surprised her and made her shut off from the world and her former companions. She found some remnants of her family in the mountains near Winterclan. However, they had changed. They were greedy and fought against what their ancestors had built into them. This only caused the root to grow thicker. So, she left in search of her next move. That was when she decided to join Wintrystar in Winterclan. The two had known each other for a brief time when she served in Summerclan. She quickly found her place in Winterclan doing day to day tasks... She had never expected to be chosen for something more. Now, Tuskblood is fighting against the bonds and walls of her heart to serve her clan, but some days it seems more like a war.
