Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Vividrapture had a plan, to trying speaking to a she-cat. You see, the poor tom turns into a stuttering, blushing, clammed up mess around she-cats and when he tried to to talk to them it only gets worse. But he was determined to do it, to speak to a she-cat and get at least three sentences out! And that cat couldn't be family. He was fine around Seasplash, so she didn't count. All the other she-cats though, nope he was a mess round them! The tom had even selected a handful of pretty stones from the Sapphire Springs to help make conversation and to give out. Maybe they'd help to break the ice and maybe the she-cats would be so frustrated with him when he tries talking.
While Northernlights was a proud WinterClan soldier and would fight to the death to ensure the safety and survival of every single one of her clanmates, it didn’t mean she knew every one of the individuals she saw from day to day. Despite their closed off location deep in the snow-capped mountains, there were quite a few WinterClan cats to meet — which meant a few could easily slip through the cracks.
Vividrapture was, in this case, one such that got away. Northernlights was determined to turn that around, though. She liked to believe it was because she wanted to deepen her bond with the clan and prove her loyalty to the cats of the snow, but the truth ran deeper and darker. She was lonely. She didn’t have any friends. She couldn’t even think of a romantic pursuit. If she wanted to crawl out of the pit of loneliness she was in, she needed to stop being passive and actually make an effort, no matter how much the idea had anxiety clawing at her like a howling demon.
It all came back to one point, though: Who was she going to approach? She didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot, and being who she was, that was a pretty easy accomplishment for her. Seeing a tom gazing out at the crowd with seemingly the same hopeful expression, though, she took a deep breath and started forward.
