Blackthornfate had joined the witnesses too, and she was none too pleased Dappledglacier had chosen to challenge Smokesignal and not her. Not that Smokesignal was a bad choice by any means, she had confidence in him. But because she was curious about these challenges and wanted to experience first hand. Maybe she could of had the chance to turn that frown upside down permanently, so probably why she wasn't challenged. "Take her out, Smokey." Blackthornfate purred, settling on the sidelines as one of her mangled claws drew circles in the snow.

Dappledglacier purred nudging her son over to join his siblings before look up at Smokesignal "I challenge you to a game of chance. If I when than my Phantomkit will be engaged to your Sablekit" Dappledglacier lifted up a pebble walking over to the edge of the drop off where a line had been drawn down the middle "We will both push three pebbles over the edge where this line is. The pebble will bounce on the rocks all the way down. If more pebbles end up on the right side of the line than I will. If more pebbles end up on the left side than you win"
Pineflurry stood stock still and straight as he listened to the challenge and it's rules. Him and his son, Tempestpaw, would be acting as witnesses to this challenge and thus the judges as to who won. It was a means to keep things fair and make sure all parties held up their end of the agreement. "Do you agree to this chosen game of chance for this challenge, Smokesignal?" The challenge had bene made and thus must be completed, the only way to back out was to forfeit, but nonetheless the challenge itself needed to be agreed on, or at least Pineflurry thought so in order to keep it all fair.
Smokesignal knew his wife would rather be the one challenged and she would desire a fight. He was rather released with the game of chance offered. After all he had no qualms about engagement for his children, though he personally would have waited till they were at least apprentices. “Yes, I agree. If I win there will be no further talk of engagement until Sablekit becomes a student.” There he let his own choice be voiced, though he instantly regretted not asking Blackthornfate’s opinion. It was her daughter after and in a way she did have more authority over their lives than he ever would. racer
Tempestpaw sat there silently with his father as the challenge was thrown. He rolled his eyes. "Geez, that's not a challenge, that's just dumb. At least fight or something, like seriously." He turned to Pineflurry. "Hey, we can stop this right and make'm fight right? Right?" He glared at the two warriors. "Like this doesn't count."
Eyed his son, humor in his voice as he spoke, "no were just here to make sure it stays fair and to declare a winner at the end. The challengers are in charge of deciding the challenge as well as their wagers for it. Though, I'm sure there will be another challenge later today that we can sit in on and maybe it'll be a fight. We can watch if you'd like? After this one is over that is." Pineflurry wrapped his tail around the shoulders of his son, enjoying their time together even if it was to play witnesses to a challenge.
stardance @atomheart racer I'm giving you guys two weeks to get this wrapped up. If they're not they'll be officially ended in a draw with no winners, basically as though they never happened.
Wintrystar had come around to inspect the challenges. See what their conclusions were and how things were going. Stopping before the cats here, she spoke up, "tell me, have things been resolved yet?" She wouldn't stay long, but she would check in again and continue to do so until all the challenges were completed.

"Very well" Dappledglacier agreed picking up the first of her pebbles just as Wintrystar walked over to them "We were just about to get started" she dipped her head respectfully "This shouldn't take long" as she pushed the pebble over the edge watching as it pinged against the rocks until it landed on the right side
