In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

Hello everyone. With everything changing around Primal Instinct, Funk has finally realized he needs a bit more help unrelated to moi at all and has decided to bring back the Warden position. Warden is a Deputy equivalent position, so please do not try out if you already hold a leadership position.
Guidelines – you can only tryout with a cat that is hunter age (so 12+ moons) – it can be an outsider but they need to ultimately join Primal Instinct – while Funk wouldn't admit it, he does care about the future of Primal Instinct, so he wouldn't choose someone that is like obviously evil and trying to take advantage of them
Expectations – Steady activity. Life gets in the way, I know. But I'd like you to at least try and roleplay in PI weekly. – Responsibility. I may ask you to take on certain tasks like making acs, ceremonies, big or small plots, etc and I will be expecting these done in a reasonable amount of time. – Creativity: PI has so much potential with it's environment, temperament and ethics and I'd like someone to help come up with ideas to help it live up to that. – Stay in communication. PI uses a Discord server, and I would prefer if you had a Discord too. If you'd rather not, you can still tryout but you need to be able to check your classic inbox weekly. We are also a team, so I want you to be able to get along and work with the other members of the staff. – People tell me I'm intimidating, so if you could be approachable, that'd be cool.
Format – Username: – Cat Name: – Bio: – Picture Link: – How would your character get along with Funk?: (no right or wrong answer here. you can also answer for the rest of the staff if you'd like) – Why do you and your character wanna be Warden?:
I will choose a winner when I find the right person. There is no official time the tryouts will end or when I'll choose someone. This may leave you all waiting for a bit for the result, but I appreciate and thank anyone who tries out.
– Username: AtomHeart – Cat Name: Vera Lynn – Bio: on page – Picture Link: link – How would your character get along with Funk?: She would get along well with Funk, though she would brush off most of his eccentricities. Would try to instill in him a sense of order if only for her own peace of mind. Vera Lynn would undoubtedly be respectful and follow orders as she sees it her job to. Granted she is no push over and would keep her own morals above those of Funk. – Why do you and your character wanna be Warden?: I think PI is an unique place that I keep coming back to every time I have rejoined this site. I would love to play an active part and I like to think I will bring new ideas/plots. Vera Lynn would want to position because even though she outwardly likes to claim she has no desires for power, she does want some sort of validation. She s focused more on continuing her legacy than her current success so she would be more focused on improving the League over temporary glory.
LEAP OF FAITH + Long ago, the brotherhood of Adevar swore to honor the order of the creed in a fight for ascension. While the brotherhood may have vanished from time, the creed remains. While the idea of ascension perseveres, the brotherhood will not be far behind. Sakriven, last living descendant of the Adevar, is the last of this brotherhood. With every breath, the oath hums in his veins. Strength is life, for the strong have the right to rule. Divine intervention is a theory that many struggle to comprehend, but in the case of Sakriven’s birth, none could explain the events that unfolded in any other way. In the cove where his mother and father hid from those who pursued them, where the blood pooled and agony rang out, a fire caught in the damp earth. Surrounded by the licking heat of flickering red light, he experienced his first sensation of warmth and stale air upon his face. Shortly after their escape into the cool night, his parents held a silent conversation over the events that brought them so close to death. There, they started on the path to accepting that they would not have Riven in their care for long. Honor is life, for with no honor one may as well be dead. He could still remember the expressions of calm on their faces, even as the crimson leaked from far too many wounds and their time ticked by, sped by chance. With their last breaths, his initiation commenced. There, before death, he pledged an oath that had not been voiced since the days of old. The brotherhood could not die. Loyalty is life, for without one’s creed one has no purpose. There comes a sense of peace when given a purpose to life. Where the black tom had once maneuvered through his days in a haze, allowing time to slip him by, he now stood strong with his head held high. He understood his purpose in this life. He would not be beaten down before achieving it. Death is life, for one should die as they have lived. For an undetermined amount of time, they believed they had won. They believed the brotherhood of Adevar had been vanquished. They spread false tales of woe about how the line of Adevar was a cult, initiating the innocent into a life of immoral duty. With such words, they set fire to his being, sliced red gashes never to be healed across the face of villainy, burned him to the ground. He didn’t remain there for long. After their executions, a mask in the colors of his lineage was fashioned. It became a physical representation of his oath: to hide in plain sight. Where others blindly follow the truth, remember: nothing is true. Reborn from the ashes, he remains in the shadows, observing the world and those in it, biding his time. Remaining true to his oath and the maxim of the Adevar. Where others are limited by morality or law, remember: everything is permitted.
— How would your character get along with Funk?: Sakriven is held to his utmost potential by honor and duty. His responsibility would be to the league and to the safety and comfort of his Nemesis. While he wasn't born in the League, loyalty is one of the tenets of the Adevar creed. In the end, he holds no opinion of Funk other than that he is his ruling commander. Riven doesn't have the same morals that many could or do, whether that's because of his oath to the brotherhood, how he's wired, or because of the trauma he underwent that led to him donning a mask he never takes off, it isn't known; however, this allows him the perspective to see others in all ranges of light. In the end, Riven wouldn't feel particularly biased one way or another. As long as Funk remained a dutiful Nemesis to the league and kept the league secure, that would be all that would matter.
— Why do you and your character want to be Warden?: When I originally tried out with Stygian, I felt like Stygian wouldn't be in it for the power or the influence over the league, as long as his family was safe. Now that I've switched my character to Riven and I'm glad I did, I feel much more connected to Riven I feel that part of his destiny is to be in the league, and to be warden. He has a fierce sense of loyalty and doesn't hesitate to bend the laws of others in order to gain advantageous results for himself and for those he cares about, including the league. He's morally grey, but in the sense where as long as what's happening doesn't intervene with the oath he swore to the Adevar lineage and doesn't threaten the livelihood of the league, he's willing to play along. Being warden of the League would be an honor to him and an achievement not just for himself, but for all of the Adevar lineage. As for myself, I've seriously fallen in love with Riven and through him, I've been reminded of how much I loved playing in PI. Back when I was deacon of the League before, in 2017 (I think?) I fell in love with the league and looked forward to playing in it and coming up with plots for it every day. Riven's reminding me of my genuine enjoyment and adoration of the group and I honestly would love to have another chance at immersing myself in the world again.

– Username: ComplacentDevil – Cat Name: Claudandus – Bio: A far stretch from his predecessors, this tom is one that most of his clan would consider to be soft. He's quiet, preferring the silence to the constant chit-chat that most of his clanmates seem to revel in. He's large, with an impending look that screams danger to strangers, but those that know him can find comfort in. His pelt is a light shade of ginger, nothing special amoung the cats of primal instinct, his build not too different from the cats of north, with broad shoulders and a heavy body, muscular under his slightly thicker pelt, especially around his neck, as if he wore a mane. He shows many scars from battles won, one ear permanently folded over itself due to damage as a young cat. He came to this group older than most, showing his use on the fields of war, hes been offered retirement, or the closest to what his home has to offer, but has denied, disallowing his age to determine his usefulness, even though he would serve his clan well just as an advisor, with the experience he has under his belt. A scowl normally rests on his face, as if the moons have carved the sour look on him themselves, and yet he shows a genuine appreciation and fondness for those around him, even allowing those closest to look into his shadowed past. – Picture Link: Claudie Boy – How would your character get along with Funk?: Honestly? not sure. I think that Funk would find him to be a fun dude to poke sticks at. Where Funk is very much a talker Claude just kind of sits and observes, he's definitely the wall of reason that Funk would be able to talk through his crazy ideas at, while he'll just end up grunting and nodding in response. – Why do you and your character wanna be Warden?: I think itd be good to get back into wcc2 by finding a place I can work in with some of the cool cats that run the staff part of this site. Also i have a very consistent schedule so im good at being on track with acs and things. Drawbacks to me? Gotta learn how to code again, im honestly not super creative when it comes to crazy plots.

– Cat Name: Regulus
– Bio: Smooth muscles hide underneath long fur of blacks and greys with eyes in contrast of being startling green. One of regal appearance is that as his name suggests but there is nothing regal about him. Born to the lowest of lives how could he ever be considered that of high status? Instead he was born a loner and living the life of just that, stealing for food instead of starving and killing if it meant that his life could continue on. He has only lived for himself and only cared for himself, so why should he care about others? Because he is smart enough to know he will not live long by himself. He knows that one simple injury in the battle of life and death could be end game for him. If he wants to live he needs to be able to have others in his life that could help support and care for him if needed. Sacrifice themselves for him in his stead if needed. In return he would give his talents of clever thought and tactic to those who need it. He knows his worth in the swiftness in his feet, the moments he takes to think before he speaks, his quick decision making he needs if it mean life or death to himself or others, and no hesitation on taking a life as a sacrifice in this wild game of survival. So in truth no he is not regal, he was not born of high blood status and knows others of pure blood would be considered greater, however he is better because he could easily beat them. He knows the rules being born of dirt, having the scars of being a fighter, and having the blood on his paws of being a survivor. No one of high status could get their paws dirty like he has. He will do whatever it takes so do not get in his way.
– How would your character get along with Funk?: I think I would see how the interaction goes and let whatever happens happens. I'd let character development see where their relationship lies. Maybe they would get along or be best friends. Or maybe they dislike one another but Funk thinks this cat is good enough to be a Warden. I like to see where the wind blows for these two feline
– Why do you and your character wanna be Warden?: Well I always had a blast helping a clan or group get in some great activity coming in and all the plots, big and small, were amazing. I remember that I loved leading Sunclan with Lilystar for a short time. I love the creativity, the atmosphere, and working with others to be creative for fun projects like cute mini plots or fun clan games!
Regulus would want to be a warden to really prove himself to others. He knows in order to live he must have others believe in him and give them a reason to follow him. The more cats that trust him the better his survival is and in return theirs as well. He is not a cat unable to love or care for others but he plans and strategizes for the future. He wants to rule a group one day he knows that would back him up and he would do the same for them in return (that is within reason of course.)
