It was a long trek back to camp and one that would not come with bloodshed. Frozenlaughter's gaze stared solemnly in the direction of Moonclan's old territory, wondering if they'd ever be able to reclaim their home. Brookclan's old territory was wet, uncomfortable, and not what they deserved. He was appreciative to have a place to rest for the night, yes, but it just didn't feel right. He wondered how the rest of the clan was faring in this new land. Did they feel the same way?
He circled around to come at Frozenlaughter from the side instead of behind, cognizant of where he placed his paws. Snowsnod was smiling as he joined his son and nodded to him in greeting.
Beetleboo witnessed his father join their brother., and moved to do the same, nudge Cravedsnow as he went. He'd been snuggling with the she-cat, whispering about all that had happened and what would happen next. The two had grown close following their mother's death, and even in this new trouble, they stuck together.

A soft smile crossed Frozenlaughter’s muzzle as his family joined him. He was able to read Snowshod’s words well enough to understand what he was asking. “Yes.” He answered quietly, staring up at the moon that seemed so empty now. His tail swept towards the three of them. “And you?”
Snowshod nodded. "It's strange being away from home again," he admitted. "I thought I would never have to leave again. At least not alone." Coping with his wife's death had been difficult for the small warrior, but now that they were on an adventure, she was always on his mind. Spookbat would have loved it out here.
Carvedsnow leaned against Beetleboo, frowning a little. She was glad to have her family with her, but she was starting to feel restless. She used to be leaving the camp all of the time but now she was stuck with her clanmates, and it was a harder adjustment than she expected. "I don't, not the camp anyway. It was just a different place to be."

Frozenlaughter nodded in empathy to Snowshod's words, laying his tail on his father's shoulder in comfort. He wasn't good at saying the right thing, but he was good at just being there.
As Carvedsnow leaned against him, Frozenlaughter tilted his head to rest his cheek on top of hers. He was glad to have his family also. It was different and strange out nowadays but at least they had each other. As she spoke, he glanced at her face to catch the words. "Hmm... What do you mean?"
Beetleboo was surprisingly quiet as he too thought about his mother. He could remember all the pranks she told him about, the laughter she'd spread through the clan. But now, what eh was doing, it wasn't the same. It didn't bring as much laughter to those around him as hers had and the thought troubled him. He wanted to be as good--no better prankster than she had been.
Carvedsnow shrugged, the movement small so she wouldn't disrupt their position, though she tilted her head a bit more to make sure he could see her speak.
"MoonClan's territory doesn't feel special anymore. All this traveling has taught me that locations don't matter. What important to me is having my family close." She snuggled closer to Frozenlaugher and reached out to hook her paw around Beetleboo and hold him close as well. As a bishop, she spent so little time with her siblings, too busy off exploring the world, and she missed having them.
