Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Ruinedportrait laid in her nest, her eyes closed in exhaustion as three tiny kits kneaded her belly in pursuit of milk. It wouldn’t be long before their mews and the scent of blood lured others to them. The flame-point had snuck away from the rest of MoonClan once her pains had begun. Why she didn’t really know other than the fact that she was afraid and had no desire for her mate to see her in such a state. Now laying in her makeshift nest with no one around but her new born kits she was starting to regret that decision.
Sitting up slightly she peered at the kits in her nest, there were five in total. All of which were solid black save one, who had the faintest of Bengal markings on his pelt. He was one of three who actually managed to nurse. The two that didn’t lay stiffly in the nest, they didn’t move nor did they breathe. Swallowing passed the lump that formed in her throat the former janus leaned over her daughters. Already the sour scent of death had claimed the two she-kits. Tears welled up in the queen's eyes but she refused to let them fall as she curled protectively around her kits, squeezing her eyes shut once more.

( I didn't forget )
Fortunately, or unfortunately, Ruinedportrait couldn't elude her mate for long. The dark furred tom found himself at her side after some time, and leaned down to nuzzle their newborn kits in silence, noting the two dead she-kits. Quietly, he simply curled himself around her, gently laying his head atop hers. For a long few moments, he didn't say anything, just laying there with her. "We should get you back to the others, have Nereus take a look over you."
She'd be lying if she said she didn't find comfort in her mate's presence. As much as she hated to admit it, she wanted him with her. At his words she opened her eyes, blinking back the tears that still threatened to fall. "What about them?" she asked, referring to two unmoving she-kits. Already their tiny bodies had grown cold and stiff, and part of her was still holding out hope that they would take a breath. "We can't just leave them out here." It was in this moment the former Janus had regretted leaving SunClan. Even if her brother did let her bury the kits in the Sunflower fields it was too far of a journey to make with her surviving newborn kits.
