Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Ow! Not so hard Kaisra," Duskslayer said as he continuously tried to get to his paws to walk with her, but at the rate she was moving he didn't stand a chance. He wiggled with discomfort in her grip, at this rate she was tearing off his fur from dragging it across the ground for so long. Just now he had been dragged over particularly sharp rock, which was why he bothered to make a comment. Kaisra always liked to play rough, but never for this long, which meant he was probably in trouble. With Cinnamonsavage he already knew his brother judged him as a family traitor, probably pegged him as a cultist. The real irony was his brother was as judgmental as the sun worshipers. "Can we just get to the part where we talk this out before I lose all my fur?"
"Talk, right," Cinnamonsavage said with a scoff, but didn't comment on Kaisra being rough with their brother. "Considering that everything went up in smoke behind us in the clan you decided meant more to you than mom, you could stand to lose a bit more fur." He said. "Might even out your appearance, match your sun burned and blackened traitorous heart."
Duskslayer tried his best to squirm in his sisters grasp to at least prevent any fur loss, but when that proved hopeless he relaxed once more. Wherever they wanted to take him there was nothing he could do about it, they were both much stronger than he was. "Okay, well what do you want from me?"
"Well personally I'd rather like it if you talk a long walk off a short cliff and dragged your beloved Bloody with you." Cinnamonsavage groused, hiding that he actually wasn't sure himself. Kaisra was clearly going to drag him until she felt like stopping, and Cinnamonsavage didn't much want her to stop either. And talking helped him ignore the gaping festering hole that was forming with the loss of mom.
He didn't really want Duskslayer dead if he was being completely honest. But he was angry, angry at him for standing by and letting it happen. Angry at Bloody for killing Glowstar. Angry at Foxstar or whatever she was called now in DayClan he kept forgetting, for her machinations that apparently persuaded all his siblings that Glowstar deserved to be abandoned.
He was angry, and also hungry. But he didn't want to go get chicken nuggets because it would just remind him of Glowstar, so Duskslayer was just going to have to feel his wrath.
"How long are you going to stick up for him, Dusky?" Kaisra spoke the words around his fur, dragging him down into an abandoned foxhole where she finally let him go, her own body blocking him from leaving without having to deal with her and Cinnamonsavage first. Honestly, she had half a mind to drag him to the Regime prison so Shule could keep him grounded until Bloodystar could be dealt with. The other half just wanted to hang out with her brothers, cause chaos, and maybe just see how much she could irritate Cinnamon before his head exploded.
"Did you see something happen to mom?" Duskslayer asked as he was released from Kaisra's grip. "And I was going to stop literally when you dragged me away. We were having a family meeting and everyone agreed that it was becoming too strenuous. I want to keep going, I don't want to leave Bloodystar, but I also need to take care of Lights and the kits and I don't like the tolls its had on them. So truthfully I'm happy to go back to the Regime, hopefully with Mountainsound."
Honestly, the first thing immediately distracted Kaisra. She had not, in fact, seen what had happened, and her gaze seemed to focus dangerously in on Duskslayer a second after he spoke, pinning him with a long stare. "What happened to mom?" Her voice was cool, and slow, and it was abundantly clear that if her littermate said the wrong thing, she might actually just tear him apart, he wouldn't actually get back to Shule.
"Were neither of you looking?!" Cinnamonsavage demanded incredulously. "Dusky's beloved Bloodystar burned her alive!" He shouted. "Glad to know neither of you care about mom to where you gave up looking for her so quickly you didn't see her die!" He spat.
He shook with fury, "So I hope your dear Bloody was worth it. You kept mom in his grasp, you put your kits and family in his grasp. So it's all your stupid fault!" He said stamping his paw. "I wanted us to grab mom and go talk over chicken nuggets but nooooooo you're too in love with Bloody, and now mom's dead."
"Hey! You can tone down your unchecked teenage angst if you're going to turn it on Kaisra. She just dragged me miles, not just for herself, but for you to get some closure too so I think you owe her some descent respect instead of talking trash like she doesn't care about mom," Duskslayer said, keeping his tone harsh, but below a hiss.
Cinnamonsavage curled his lip. "I already know she doesn't care about mom, considering she y'know ditched her for the ones who lost us in the first place. And don't go trying to change the subject Dusky, or are you admitting you're just Bloody's little beaten pet that does whatever he wants. Speaks when he commands, sits when he says, like a well trained little kittypet. Does he scratch your belly while he kills our family and that makes it okay?" He asked with a sneer.
Kaisra was all about ready to flay Dusky alive when Cinnamonsavage spoke, and the Regime she-cat turned on him, using the full force of her weight to swing at his cheek in a harsh punch, just barely keeping her claws sheathed. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU CINNAMON?" The Sentinel basically screamed the words, the sound seeming louder by being contained in this space. "I WAS MAD AT HER, AND SHE HURT ME, BUT I STILL LOVED HER. SHE WAS MY MOM!" Instead of breaking down crying at the news, she channeled all her hurt, all the surfacing regrets, into fury instead.
"Ow! Quit it you stupid piece of fox dung! This is us dealing with him! If you really loved her, then stop letting him get away with changing the subject!" Cinnamonsavage shot back rubbing his cheek and glaring at his sister. "This is his fault she's dead. He sided with Bloody, he got in our way when we were trying to get mom out. Can you like focus on the matter at paw?! Swinging at me won't punish Dusk, you're just making him happy. Since when did you get such a thin skin for my comments?" He said scoffing. "I'm so sorry words hurt you more than Dusky helping the cat who killed mom."
"Moms not dead and if you stop being such a jerk, Cinnamon I'll explain," Dusky said, keeping an even stare with his brother. He wanted to reach out and comfort Kaisra, but knew she wanted the truth more than any hug right now. "Mom came into SunClan and saw Bloodystar. It was a nice visit, but when she tried to leave she couldn't. It was really... Weird. I would come up beside her and she could walk no problem, but then I'd leave her side so she could continue the walk to DayClan, but she couldn't. Like there was some kind of invisible barrier keeping only her from leaving. But later Bloodystar revealed he had an amulet and I had no doubt it was him keeping her from leaving. But he's selfish he wants mom to himself so he faked her death using the illusions from the amulet. She's alive, but I definitely haven't seen her yet since you took me. And no, I'm not fond of the idea of faking her death, but I pick and choose my battles with Bloodystar. I came to SunClan to either take him somewhere to get him the help he needs or provide him that help directly while maintaining order and peace in SunClan the best I can. If it wasn't me as priest promise, he'd choose some brainwashed follower that would make the clans life worse. SunClan used to be both of your homes too, I'm not trying to be well a trained pet, I'm just trying my best to keep it together..."
In a heartbeat, she spun, stepping forward to slap Dusky across the face just as hard. "LEAD WITH THAT NEXT TIME YOU IDIOT!" The dark furred feline hissed, sitting down hard as her shoulders drooped and the adrenaline seemed to drain from her body as each moment went by. "And Cinnamon, you do not get to decide whether I love mom or not. So stop trying to." There was a lot of stuff she could tolerate from Cinnamonsavage, but she would not let him just say she didn't love Glowstar.
"Yeah! Lead with that! We've walked all the way here and you could've easily said that! Your mouth wasn't broken the whole way here!" Cinnamonsavage said. "We've wasted time we could've spent going and taking mom back!"
His enraged mind not fully registering the whole 'I don't know where mom is' and instead just hearing 'Mom's alive, and Bloodystar is keeping her to himself!'
"And fine I'm sorry, you do love mom, you just really don't show it." He said to Kaisra. Since okay maybe that was a little unfair. But he wanted mom back and he wanted her to stop slapping him and save it for Bloody.
The fiery sting of the slap roared against his cheek with enough force to shoot his head into the side of the wall. He grimaced at the hit immediately placing his paw over his injured face, now both sides soar from either Kaisra's paw or the wall. "You never even said what exactly you were dragging me here for," He said sorely. "So what now?" Translation: Can I leave?
"We're gonna sit here and talk until I say otherwise. So you're not going anywhere." Kaisra answered, rubbing her face in apparent frustration. "When are you going to give it up, anyway? It's kind of boring in the Regime without you. And bring mom while you're at it."
Her gaze turned to Cinnamonsavage, glaring at him with an expression that clearly stated he was on extraordinarily thin ice with his words. "Also, Dusky, have you thought of just taking over SunClan? It's not like Bloodystar would be hard to get rid of, and we could keep him somewhere out of the way if you're really so concerned with keeping him safe."
"Kaisra, this is a once in a life time role, I've never been a co-star before, I even co-directed a play. I need to soak in this stardom before it passes me up and I'm just some washed up celebrity," Dusky smirked, but shook his head, "In all seriousness though I like being in a supportive role. I don't know... I guess I know I'll have to step up, but currently I don't know how. Remember back when Foxstar was taken? Even then Littlestar couldn't take control even with the priestess gone because it was against the law, no one would follow her. And I'm not going to let him get killed so that's not an option."
