"Tell me more about our illustrious history," Discordantmelody had done so much roaming around that she had never realized a tom that was exactly her type had been in SunClan all along. Rorke. A handsome name for a handsome cat. He looked a lot like the Sun God, although he'd tell you the Sun God looked like him, either way it was impressive, especially given the fact that no one could definitively say which one came first.
She'd brought him lunch, some prey she'd stolen from League territory, and sat there bright-eyed and bushy trailed, soaking in whatever history he could tell her. Discordantmelody didn't judge him a liar and these days information was the hottest commodity. And he was hot, "How about the story of how you came to join SunClan?"

Rorke chuckled, but took the prey that the young she-cat had offered. It seemed that his position as an ancient had spread. Most of the cats in SunClan respected him, but few had asked him anything quite so personal "It's not quite that simple" he lifted a paw ruffling the fur upon her head like a parent might a kit "but if you have the time, I can tell you the story of how SunClan came to be" his eyes glimmered as he spoke.
Discordantmelody leaned into Rorke's paw, putting her whole body into it, and purred, "I would love that." She was sitting very closely to the senator now, doing everything she could to brush up against that satin-soft fur of his. It didn't seem like he was buying what she was selling but it was fun nonetheless.

Rorke settled in for the story, letting the young cat brush up against him not thinking much of it. He often told stories of SUnClan's past to the young cats of the clan "When I was born, there was no SunClan as you know it to be. It was a chaotic time, back then there were not just cats that look like you and I but lions and tigers. Lions and tigers are bigger than any cat that you could imagine in your head, you wouldn't even be able to reach their bellies standing on your hind legs"
"Like the skeletons in the boneyard?" Discordantmelody asked with childish glee. Of course she had heard these stories a hundred times before, but never from someone who was actually there.

"Yes, very similar" he agreed, in fact there were probably some lion and tiger bones mixed in, but he digressed "Back then the lions and tigers paid us little mind, our kind lived scattered across the lands in loose family groups unable to compete with the prides of such large cats. They paid us little mind, so long as we stayed out of their way and kept our own in line. They ruled the lands, we were only allowed to live in them" he paused letting his words settle "but nothing lasts forever, even the prides of big cats. A terrible drought settled over the lands, and many of the lions and tigers passed away as water and prey became scarcer as they migrated to other lands. Forced with starvation, famine, and extinction they had a decision to make. To leave their sacred lands or become lost to the sands of time. Many were reluctant to leave their temples behind, fully believing that they would return one day. So before they left, they recruited a few cats like you and I to watch over the temples. They taught us about the Sun God, about how they ran their prides. While they were forced to leave, we remained small enough for the lands to support us" [Ugh forcing me to make up stories XD]
"Ya know, the way you just described the Lions and Tigers sounds a whole lot like twolegs to me," Discordantmelody mused. It was totally in character for her to pick at the more obscure details of a story, but don't be mistaken, she was taking it all in. Most of this story was common knowledge among SunClan, but, go at it with the right angel, she knew she could learn something special. Such as what and where exactly this so-called temple was, "I wonder if the twolegs that left the League's city spoke to them about watching after their temples in their place. Have you ever been there?"
