(Hey I thought it would be fun to have a one on one rp with Duskslayer and Scorchedwhisker if you're interested! Your characters always looks so cool and I've never gotten to rp with you so I figured I'd make this one fun!) Nova
Today was odd... Or at least for Scorchedwhisker it was. First off Duskslayer was new, or at least seemed new to most SunClan cats. All of the older warriors knew Duskslayer as the only SunClan warrior, with no special rank or connections to ever to be allowed to leave SunClan. He was sent out to Renegade Regime for missionary work in an attempt to convert Renegade Regime to Sun God religion. However it had been cut short when he was told to return to SunClan as Priest Promise. The guy looked young, he was a new father. He had dusky brown fur and a white crescent moon mark cupping around his right turquoise eye.
But what was weirder was when said priest promise approached Scorchedwhisker and asked him to come help out with digging? That alone was kind of weird, but it got weirder when he started explaining why.
"So lately I've been digging around SunClan and when I do I find all of these old fossils, some are normal, others look like animals I've never seen before. I don't know you at all, but I thought maybe it could be something fun to do if you're interested?" Duskslayer invited. His voice had a soft whisper like slyness that came faint, yet audibly at the end of his sentences. Strangely enough it didn't give the sense that he was tricking someone, but more like he was letting someone in on a secret side of him.

(I am SO interested in an RP with you ;3)
Scorchedwhisker had started the day as if it were any other day. He started with an early morning hunt but could find nothing which only soured his mood. The siamese tom had been hoping that the high priest was just bluffing about the shortage of prey. He had been disappointed to find out he was right. Scorchedwhisker returned to the camp with nothing. He cast scathing glares at the clan mates he passed as he walked by them, daring them to say something about his lack of fresh-kill. The half clan tom settled down in a comfortably shady spot, stretching and flexing his claws as she lounged about on his side. It was the first time in a while his half-sister hadn't immediately run up to bother him. He was determined to enjoy the peace and quiet.
That was until a shadow descended upon him. Scorchedwhisker could feel the fur on the back of his neck rise. A part of him was ready to lash out, claws unsheathed, at whoever dared to disturb him. But something stopped him. Instead, he cracked open an ice blue eye and was shocked to find Duskslayer looking down at him. Scorchedwhisker stared up at the priest promise, confusion etched across his face as he furrowed his brow. What would the priest promise want with him? The siamese tom looked around, thinking for a moment that the tom had mistaken him from someone else. Until Duskslayer spoke to him. Scorchedwhisker was unsure of what to do. Only an idiot would refuse an offer from the priest promised. "Uhm... sure?" The tom said with a flick of his ears. The half Sunclan tom knew better than to snap at those higher in rank than him, even if they reached out to him with an odd request Faith
"So I haven't met you before, are you SunClan born?" Duskslayer asked as he led him over to the field lands. Most SunClan cats had the kind of walk that had their snout pointed up and an air of vain egotism about them. Duskslayer couldn't look less SunClan, his walk was leisurely, his steps so relaxed that even against the crunchy dried up grass they were silent. Now that they were further out from the shaded camp it was easy to make out Duskslayer fully. He had full body paint dressed all the way up his left front leg in gorgeous detailed paint. The paint looked vibrant, rare, not the typical kind most SunClan cats had access to.
Up ahead the two could spot a giant pile of leaves and other debris in the open field. The sun was beaming down hot and heavy against their backs, but Duskslayer had been two steps ahead of mother nature by protecting the ground from drying out.

"I tend to keep to myself a lot." Was all Scorchedwhisker said, a soft growl to his voice. He learned early on not to mention his Moonclan side much. It made his initiation a hell on earth. The siamese tom wasn't exactly ashamed of his mother's side. But he rarely mentioned it. Besides, the priest promised didn't need to know that much about him. He'd be able to tell by the paint on Scorchedwhisker's side that he was a warrior, and that was good enough for him.
His whiskers twitched as the walked onto the open field. The sun bore down on them and he was thankfully that he didn't have as thick of a coat as his mother, or the long fur of his father. If he was feeling the heat now through his thin pelt, he could only imagine the kind of hell he'd go through with a thick coat. "So what exactly are we looking for?"
"Bones, sometimes I find bodies though," Duskslayer said.
With his head he pulled away the debris he had laid out to reveal some softened damp ground. He began to claw away at the dirt, "Digging is also a lot of fun, but when I find bones I usually use my paw and tail to carefully uncover everything, it's a delicate process. If you don't wind up liking it though you're welcome to leave, it won't hurt my feelings. I won't dance around it anymore though, I did hear about who your family is from some of the older SunClan cats. I just really wanted to meet you so sorry for taking you out for selfish reasons," He said, rubbing the back of his head bashfully, "Seeing that you avoided the subject though we don't have to talk about it, it just seemed cool to finally meet someone who also came from an outsider family."

Bodies? Bodies?! Scorchedwhisker curled his lips at the idea as he watched the priest promised meticulously push away the dirt and debris. The siamese tom crouched down and started to repeat Duskslayer’s actions. “It’s something to do I guess.” Scorchedwhisker commented dryly when the priest promised offered him a chance to leave. The warrior wasn’t about to just leave. It would seem rude, and he wasn’t about to just leave the priest promised’s company. He’d never hear the end of it. However, his fur quickly bristled and his claws dug too deep when Duskslayer told him why he really took him out here. The siamese tom quickly stood up, his fangs bared as he stared down at the priest promised. His birth and family life were something he tried to avoid. Scorchedwhisker avoided the subject like a rabbit avoided a ravenous fox. “Those old fools should keep their mouths shut and their nose out of everyone’s business…!” The tom cat hissed. His snarl turned into a quiet snarl however, when Duskslayer mentioned something about his own family. Though his fur still bristled he looked at the priest promised curiously. “You?” He questioned.
Duskslayer figured the tom would have a bad reaction, but not quite this intense. After all plenty of the population was made up of cats who were once outsiders.
"Yeah, I thought my parents were Darkcomplex and Strikhedoniadalisay, but it wasn't that simple. They were arranged into a marriage and my mother Strik is leader of DayClan, the ex priestess Foxbane saw an opportunity to control her if she had kits. But the priestess actually used this memory blurring herb on my parents and my littermates. Then she basically reprogrammed us into believing we were a family when I was actually Strik's nephew. My real heritage is in Renegade Regime. It was pretty embarrassing though when my blood related mom found out what happened to me and my siblings. She came into SunClan and murdered the priestess in front of everyone. After that my littermates left SunClan, but I stayed for my dad even if he wasn't my blood dad. But for a long time everyone knew me as the son of that cat who murdered the priestess. Coming from a family of deserters is kind of frowned upon, especially when my dad left recently," He explained, "I guess I just wanted to talk to someone who didn't come from a perfect SunClan family who would kind of understand."

Scorchedwhisker listened carefully, cocking an eyebrow as Duskslayer spoke. “Wow…” He said when the priest promised finally finished his explanation. “You’re history is a lot more messed up than mine.” There was no malice behind the tom’s words, and Scorchedwhisker had meant to say it lightly. But now that he thought about it, it was probably not a good thing to say. Scorchedwhisker cleared his throat as he looked at his paws. “Sorry… but… Well I guess we aren’t really that different. I just… didn’t expect that the Priest Promised wasn’t full-bloodied Sunclan… to be honest, they’re kind of the worst..”
“You’re history is a lot more messed up than mine.”
"Heh, uh... Yeah," Duskslayer agreed with him, bashfully rubbing the back of his head with an embarrassed expression. He didn't expect to get judged so quickly, but it was a pretty a disastrous upbringing. However what Scorchedwhisker said next made him laugh, the comment caught him off guard, "They kind of are the worse though, you're right. Everyone here is always so stuck up, I hate it. I like everyone alright, but the I'm-Better-Than-Everyone SunClan stereotype is unfortunately an accurate one."

The tom couldn’t help but let out a low chuckle. “Yea unfortunately. The clan I was born into wasn’t really any better…” The tom cat kneaded the ground with his paws sheepishly. “I’m… sorry, I guess. About what I said before…” It was as sincere as Scorchedwhisker could make it sound. This was the most interaction that the tom cat had with anyone in Sunclan, aside from Blissfulkit. Apologizing was something he rarely did, and even though he tried to make it sound sincere, it came out as a soft growl. “I uh… don’t exactly know how this whole… getting to know others thing works. I’m the last cat that would ever dare judge you.”
"Yeah, but I did blind side you about your heritage, I wouldn't have faulted you if you had took a swing at me for that," Duskslayer mused. His relaxed turquoise gaze widened, before softening in understanding at the toms words, "Thanks," He smiled, "I wouldn't judge you either, I think it's pretty cool that you're not a mindless follower. You can call me Dusky when we're in private by the way. I used to be called it all the time, but singular rogue names are frowned upon here so everyone's been calling me by my full warrior name Duskslayer since coming back. It's nice to make a new friend."

"I can't exactly take a swing at the Priest Promised." Scorchedwhisker replied dryly. "I very much like my head where it is on my body." The tomcat glanced back down at the soft dirt he had been brushing away. With a soft sigh he returned to what he had been doing, gently brushing away the dirt with his tail, and pulling out the more difficult clumps with his claws. "Mindless follower... I may as well be. I'm loyal because I have to be... at least I have a bit of Sunclan blood in me, I can be grateful for that at least..." The cream-colored tom looked up briefly when the priest promised called him a new friend and informed him of his nickname. "Dusky, huh? I'll try to remember that. Though, I'm not sure I'd be a great friend. I was never good with friends"
"You can take a swing at me with no one around if I deserve it," Duskslayer promised him. He hadn't really ever gotten into a fight before, not one he hadn't won. He'd battled quite a few times in MoonClan and against Renegade Regime cats. He wasn't sure what it would be like to be hit and not fight back, it actually sounded pleasant to not have to lift a paw and instead go on with your business.
His tail brushed over a bone which let to him very carefully skimming his paw around the edges as he began to uncover more of it, "It'll be fine though, I think we can be good friends. It can be fun, wearing matching paint designs, going hunting together, gossiping about girls," He enthused with a teasing smirk.
In the distance there was a cry, it sounded like an injured animal. It made Duskslayer look in the direction, but debate walking all the way over wherever the sound was coming from.

Scorchedwhisker rolled his eyes. "I told you, I'm not going to hit the priest promised. Even if we are friends now. But I promise to hit you if you really deserve it." The siamese tom said with a soft smirk. He lazily brushed his tail against the dirt and watched as Duskslayer started pulling out an actual bone. He suppressed a small shiver that ran down his spine, wondering if that came from another cat or something else. He quickly looked up at the sound, instantly on his feet and alert. "What was that?"
Duskslayer cocked his head back to the side as his relaxed expression stared ahead, "someone's in turmoil," He said, getting up he swiped the dust of the dry earth from his legs. "I have to investigate if it's one of our own, it's your choice if you would like to come, I won't think anything of it if you stay behind. I know when I wasn't priest promise I preferred to be involved as little as possible," He said as removed forward at a leisurely pace to find what was up.

"Forget that." Scorchedwhisker said, already walking ahead. His curious nature he once had as a young apprentice was brought to light once more. He wanted to know what that was. What could it be? What made a sound like that? "It could be a kit in trouble. Or a fox. Maybe even a badger. What kind of... friend, would I be if I let you go it alone? Isn't that what friends do?"
"If you didn't you'd be a really boring friend to avoid interest in danger. So in other words, a smart friend," Duskslayer teased, a smile lifting to his lips, "But instead you're a brave friend, I appreciate it," He said with a kind of honesty that came out more powerful than the moment demanded. There was such a determined liking Duskslayer had towards Scorchedwhisker that was so visibly there it would make anyone blush from just how trusting his turquoise eyes were.
Up ahead was the DayClan border, a flame point siamese was imprisoned inside of a pest trap that looked meant for catching raccoons. The trap was likely laid out by the farmers on DayClan's side of the border.
Duskslayer stopped with curiosity, "That's Gingersnap, she used to be a janus before her family became the only known SunClan cats in history to be allowed to leave the clan without being marked for death. The farmers are friendly to cats though, they'll probably let her out once they discover her." He said, but wasn't too sure. The farmers were nice, but what if they just didn't check their traps everyday? It wasn't like he was against letting her out so much as he had no clue how to release her.

Scorchedwhisker twitched his ears as he held the priests promised's gaze. The tom wasn't exactly uncomfortable with it, he just wasn't used to someone looking at him like that. "I guess we'll just find out whether it's bravery or stupidity when we get there. My mother used to say there was a fine line between the two that I liked to walk on. She wasn't exactly wrong." He said with a simple shrug of his shoulders. He followed Duskslayer towards the Dayclan border, his blue eyes becoming alert when he saw Gingersnap.
"Yea, but what if the farmers don't come by?" The siamese tom countered as he took a tentative step forward. "We can't exactly leave her there. Maybe we can find a way to spring the trap? Open it up somehow?"
"There's always a mechanism somewhere. I actually got stuck in one with Bloodystar when we were younger. He freaked the heck out," He snickered before grinning. He lifted his face up in the light showing a tiny faded scar across his cheek, "He flipped out so bad he literally scratched me up because I was stuck in there with him."
Moving over to the crate he tilted the cage harshly, "Hey shade walker," He smirked before thumping it down aggressively. But that only served to produce a roar of laughter from the she-cat stuck inside.
"Someone found me!" She chirped, peeking through the bars to see who. Her entire body was stuck in a lowered position making it difficult for her to see.
Duskslayer fiddled around with the metal, trying to find a piece that likely stuck out at an angle, "It's me, Duskslayer and I got a new member of SunClan with me, Scorchedwhisker, I don't think you met him while you were in SunClan."
"Oh! Do you like it in SunClan Scorchedwhisker?" Gingersnap asked, her head twisting and turning to try and see the tom.

"Uh... yea it's alright. A little hotter than Moonclan, and full of crazy." The siamese tom said as he examined the trap. "How'd you get stuck in this thing? Didn't you see it?" Scorchedwhisker tilted his head a bit as he circled the odd contraption. Duskslayer had said there was a mechanism... it must have been what opened the trap. He gently brushed his paw along the sides of it until he felt something odd beneath his pads. "Hey, Duskslayer, is this it right here?"
