Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Discordantmelody trotted into Primal Instinct territory like she owned the place. In a sense, she sort of did, seeing as her father was the leader. While Funk E'tan certainly did not practice a blood-based hierarchy, he sure let her get away with a lot. Or perhaps he did with all of his subjects. She never went to any of the meetings. As she approached a corner she came to an abrupt stop and sat the chinchilla - stolen from DayClan - at her paws. She turned to the she-cat at her side.
"Alright, Tinymutiny, the Black Market is right over there. Don't touch anything unless you want to buy it and don't follow any cat anywhere without me. Have you decided what you wanted to do? Get a massage or get something to eat? Maybe find a pretty rock for home or hire a hitman? Anything goes, you know."

"Don't expect any discounts, and temper your expectations of living through the day." Senescence was an initiate, and really, she probably shouldn't be traveling around so freely, but if the feline cared, which, really, was a laughable concept, it did not show. By virtue of their parents all being engaged, they were sort of siblings, not that this mattered to Sen. She sort of just appeared in the area, laying against a wall with as much ease as Discordant walked the streets.
"Oh hello, Sen, you were the last cat I wanted to see." Discordantmelody said with an even voice, bowing her head in respect to the Initiate who, on this territory, was her superior. She put her paw in Tinymutiny's head as well an forced her half-sister to join in, more as a show of 'I'm looking out for her' than actual respect toward the Proxy, "Well, since you're here, there's really no better cat to give us a tour than the one in charge of it all."

Tinymutiny glared daggers, her head refusing to budge even as her sister tried to press it downwards. She sidestepped, tipping her head upwards not allowing something so silly to get in the way of her pride. Discordantmelody may have known this place better, but she wasn't about to be bossed around "and I'll know when I see it" she retorted, but really she didn't have anything in mind. Just get out of camp was more than enough for now.

"Or, how about you tour it yourself, and I'll make an internal bet of how long it'll take for you to get yourselves killed." Senescence suggested in turn, though her offer wasn't exactly something she intended to negotiate. "If the both of you make it through the day without needing medical help, and I'll let the pregnant one pick out a gift free of charge." All things considered, that was a pretty good offer. Get one thing from the market, anything, if you could just happen to not need a medicine cat. Though this also required Discordantmelody to manage to not do something entirely idiotic to risk such a thing, but what was the point without the risk?
"Sounds easy enough. You're on, Senescence... But what happens if we lose?" Perhaps she should have found out the consequence before she asked, but whatever, Discordantmelody had an affinity for worming herself out of sticky situations. Besides, she loved a good bet, it always made things interesting.

It was an excellent deal, and it was Sen's market to do as she pleased. So when the Nemesis approached the group, he stayed to the side to not step on Sen's toes. Long as the pair worked separately, they did fine. But bringing them together was always trouble. "I'm normally not one for scaring off new customers, but a challenge is a challenge. You two brought more to pay with than I thought." Why Discordant brought her friend to the black market was a mystery. It wasn't like this was an amusement park. Nah, the people that walked by kept their heads down before disappearing behind curtains to discuss business. This little challenge would be a breeze or impossible depending on the crowd here.
"Hi dad," Discordantmelody purred, rubbing her cheek against his in greeting, she greeted the Nemesis with familiarity not quite earned but that was the name of the game, "This is my sister, Tinymutiny. Not just a friend. She needed some fresh air and I figured there was no better place to do it than the Black Market. I always come here when I'm feeling particularly edgy. Works wonders."
What she basically said was that he Black Market was an amusement park, at least it was to her. Discordantmelody had a way of finding herself in and out of trouble just as fast. She was sneaky. But she usually didn't have another cat with her to hold her back. So sure, it was sort of risky, but there was little to gain if you didn't put your life on the line every now and again, "What's your favorite store, Funk? Maybe we'll start there."

Funk held himself still when Discordantmelody rubbed her cheek against his. Even aside from the fact that she hadn't really earned that sort of familiarity, he wasn't used to being on the receiving end of that affection. Normally he was the one to hand it out like candy, just to see how others would react. That sort of superficial feeling, and he had a feeling that was the same game she was playing. A smile ghosted his face for a moment. "This isn't quite the park you come to for a breath of fresh air, but you may as well look around while you're here." Tinymutiny... sounded like another Foxbane name. Not that he felt overly compelled to ask.
Funk didn't care what sorts came and went from the market, as long as it stayed running. And at least with Senescence here, it was all but guaranteed it would. "Eh, my favorite seller here is Berdella, the butcher. Though I don't think that's a good place to start." Really, no where would be great. Unless the dare was for Tiny to not throw up, then everywhere worked. For as clean as they place looked, there was a hint of something darker in the air.
