Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The sun was just barely setting but Levee was already awake, watching over his followers, who bathed in Selene's weak light as they slept. She was already returning into her strength, once again she had accepted their offering. Confident as he was, there was still apart of him that feared one day she would reject his sacrifice. Quietly he wandered away from the sleeping cats headed in the direction of Selene's crescent shape. They were following her after all. She had intended for Levee to lead these cats through the mountain and leads these cats of the moon. He just hoped this journey would be easy enough, he knew he had his work cut out for him when they finally reached their destination.
Reaper had never been much of a sleeper, preferring to have the advantage of consciousness. She understood its benefits, so she slept when her body demanded it, but she had found she could operate off a minimal amount. She was awake, sorting through the few herbs she had collected in their travels, when Levee left camp. She didn't quite see it, but rather sensed it. Ever since she had committed herself to Selene and Leviathan, she had gained a sixth sense, able to read shifts in presence, mood, able to detect lies, able to guess things she shouldn't know. It was incredibly useful, and it made her useful to others, so she thanked Selene for it and accepted her new abilities without question.
Curious, she set the herbs aside, her small black frame moving through the shadows as she followed Levee. She waited until they were farther from camp before speaking. "Going for a midnight stroll?" She asked, her quiet tone breaking the silence of night.
Levee didn't even flinch when she spoke, he had learned early on that he was never truly alone when he walked, least of all at night. He was grateful for those whom Selene had brought to him. He was afraid if it weren't for those on this journey with him he would of gone mad, chasing the whispers of the moon into the unknown. His ear flicked briefly in her direction, indicating that he had in fact heard her question but chose not to answer as he made his way up a near by hill. It was one once they reached the top that the black and white tom spoke.
"Scouting out the path ahead" he explained gesturing out at the view ahead of them with his tail. They were drawing closer to the mountains now, he would never voice this out loud but he was definitely not looking forward to climbing them. heights were not something he was particularly fond of, and even he had to admit going around the mountain was counterproductive.
"You seem apprehensive," Reaper said, her stony gaze lifting to the massive slopes in the distance. As always, her keen intuition from Selene was a tool for her, and potentially a bother for everyone else. There were no secrets with Reaper, at least on your end, and the only comfort was that she didn't particularly care about using your secrets against you. She liked to know for the sake of knowing, which is why (she thought it was why) Selene had chosen her to carry these powers. Reaper's damage meant she had a pure heart, unconcerned with politics and personal gain. "You fear the mountains?"
"No, I don't fear the mountains." He spoke calmly like always, though there was an unmistakable look in his eyes that suggested he wasn't actually as calm as he let on. "No, I'm more wary. I trust Selene will guide our paws where we need to go, and that we will reach our destination when she intends it but something about the mountains..." He let his voice trail off for a moment as he considered his next words carefully. "I believe Selene will test me in the mountains."
