(figured it'd be best to go from the beginning. i don't know what you want her saved from, so i left the scenery vague) | (and draculad will become more competent later) Blue eyes like robin's eggs stared out over the horizon. Once lit brightly with the sun rays, it was now only home to the moon's gentle glow as he traveled. For such a small and bright looking tom, he was very ill suited for travelling at night. But it was what he found the most comfortable, practically born into it as he was named after the night itself back home. He had left that home behind a moon ago, to find some bigger or better purpose in this world. So far, he had come up blank, wasting his days and nights walking and grabbing any scraps that were left behind by their killers. Having grown accustomed to the taste of garbage, the cream and white tom still hated it. He needed something better, something grander.
It truly was a horrible night for a curse. Specifically to our little protagonist, the curse of being lost. He spent most of his time walking in circles rather than actually going anywhere. It was frustrating, awfully so. Pausing to stop and stretch, letting out a yawn that ended with his fangs once again digging into his lower lip, he considered his options. Small cream tabby face scrunching up, he let out a frustrated yell and fell on the ground, cushioned by the tall grass as his mind fell blank.
"Come on universe. Give me something!" Draculad screeched, impatience growing.

(Sounds great, I'm not sure what I want her saved from so I'll wing it haha)
She had been walking for days with no end in sight. The small sand-colored cat had left her colony only a moon ago, driven by some invisible force to take to traveling. So far it had been disastrous. The small cat was accustomed to being looked after by her family in the realize safety of twolegplace and found the reality she was currently in to be a nightmare. Hunting, she was terrible at it. Fighting, she'd just run away, thank you. She didn't like the silence of the open territory or the constant presence of predators like foxes, badgers, other cats.
Tonight found her sitting under a stubbly old tree, gazing blankly at the moon. In the distance she heard the furious screech of a cat but hadn't the slightest idea how to find it's source. The screech drowned out the growl from behind her. She noticed a different, disgusting smell but hadn't the faintest idea where it was coming from. Until the second growl. She spun around to see a fox, heavily scarred and particularly mad-looking. The small cat whimpered and backed up, hitting the trunk of the tree with a grim certainty that she was about to die.
The fox seemed to sense an easy victory and approached slowly. Nimue felt that was unfair of it, drawing out her death. Feeling brave, she tried to dart away to the left. But the fox was quicker. The old creature lunged and she shrieked, narrowing escaping the creature's jaws.

The night gave him what he wanted, ears perking at the sound of a screech. The grass behind him rustled in the sound of a struggle, and the small tom rolled onto his paws and ran towards the noise. Maybe this was it. His guide, his savior, his key to all his dreams. What he found was a cat only a little bigger than him being pinned against a tree by a fox. His white fur fluffed up instinctively. Normally, he wouldn't mind seeing how this played out, never one to throw himself into a meaningless fight if he could avoid it. But he'd never fought a fox before, and that was the kind of excitement he'd been craving as of late.
The fox's back was to him, so he sprang onto it with ease. His short apprenticeship mostly consisted of fighting so he could compensate for his smaller stature, so this was the only thing he could really do well. The animal whipped around, forgetting about it's easy prey as it tried to get Draculad off of his back. He wasn't going anywhere though, no matter how many times the fox slammed into the tree or the ground. But one whip tore him off of the creature, paws skidding along the ground. The sting in them, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. This is what he missed, the violence.
He didn't laugh loudly like a maniac or whine with a clever line only smart to him. Instead, he only gave a confident smile, artfulling dodging to the side as the fox charged at him before diving for it's throat.

Nimue was shocked to see a cat smaller than her appear and so easily leap onto the fox. The fox forgot all about her and she quickly scrabbled up the stubbly tree, pressing herself against the topmost branch and watching the cat below cling onto the fox. Who was this crazy cat? Who in their right mind would leap onto a fox for a stranger? Nimue should run, probably. This was her chance to escape before the fox inevitably killed the mouse-brain tom fighting it.
The fox, for it's part, was crazed and desperate and really only though of killing the cat who'd jumped on it. It was not prepared for the cat to leap at his throat, relying on it's larger size to intimidate the smaller cat. The fox roared indignantly, trying suddenly to escape this cat.

Really, if she had ran, he would have found her again eventually. The world was only so big, and this was more destiny than anything else. Though he was never one for fanciful musings, especially during a flight. The fox was larger than him and crazed, flinging him about as his teeth sunk deep into the fox's throat. The iron taste of blood poured into his mouth, immediately making him gag. As the light-colored cat tore away and landed in the grass below, blood from the arterial wound began to spray over him, raining on him like a torrent. The fox yipped and yayed in panic and fear, it's life probably flashing before its eyes. What a fool. To underestimate him, truly. Left with nothing but it's dwindling life span, the fox ran off presumably to die somewhere else. The only evidence it was here was the torn-up grass and a blue-eyed cat covered in its blood.
Draculad stared after it, his vision clouding in red. Rubbing his paws against his eyes only made the muddying worse. Now wearing a mask of red, he let out a yawn. "What a boring fight. I expected better from a fox. Hey, get down here!"

Nimue had watched with wide, terrified eyes. And now she was being asked to reveal herself to a cat that had just skillfully and effortlessly killed a fox single-pawed. Nimue didn't want to talk to him, but she also felt intensely curious. He'd saved her! As that thought dawned on her the feelings towards the tom shifted from wariness and fear to interest and... devotion? She clumsily scrambled down her little ugly tree and approached him, her head and clear green eyes both lowered and her fur fluffed up with anxiety. When she was before him she forced her gaze upward, locking on to his face. She spoke in a small, awestruck voice, "you killed the fox."

Draculad spat out any blood in his mouth. This was no treat. He would take no pleasure in drinking that. When the she-cat finally made it down her sad perch and stared up at him with anxious eyes, a surge of power ran through his veins. This was truly fate, a gift from the night. But what was his present? The way she looked at him though only screamed one thing. A partner. He stood as tall as he could, pale pelt coated in the sticky stuff. "Ah that. Just a fly really. It was nothing. Hardly worth my time. Though you, you are something. What'd you do to aggravate the poor thing?"

Nimue scoffed, flicking her tail crossly and feeling very satisfied with the fox's death, "I did nothing! The fox simply attacked me. I was just sitting here by myself." She looked at the tom again, somehow charmed by him spitting the blood out. It seemed.... strong of him. Nimue decided on the spot that he was a cat worth following, no matter his stature. "How did you get here so fast? I would have died without you!"

Somewhere, Draculad was sure he heard the last high pitched whine of the fox, somewhat surprised it could with so much blood loss. But maybe that was just his imagination. Oh well. What's done was done. Now he needed to either get her on his side or go back to the city and try to find something to eat. He tended to get what he wanted with a little charm and a pair of puppy dog eyes. That was there and this was here, and there was no way he was going back there. His smile was overly sharp, full of weapons he knew how to wield well. "Oh that. I was sitting on the hill down there and heard you scream. Pretty lucky of you, gotta say."

"Very much so," she agreed wholeheartedly. "I would be crowfood by now." This was the moment when they'd part ways and her knight would disappear. But she didn't want that. How could she feel safe without him now? He'd saved her from one fox, but how many threats were out there? She needed this cat. "How can I repay you for your heroic deed? Could I... accompany you anywhere? Traveling in pairs is supposed to be safer, so I've heard." Please, don't leave her alone, she wanted to add. However, she held her tongue, hoping the soft helplessness in her voice was enough to persuade him into letting her come along.

The corners of his mouth twitched up to a smile, a bizarre softness overtaking his eyes. There it was. Just what he was looking for. A partner, a knight. Sure, he may have fought off the fox but perhaps with a little work, this girl would be a greater asset to him. If her end to survive, he would grant it, so long as she could keep up with him. That was the simple goal; to bend the world to his wishes. By himself, it was impossible, but this was the first step towards his great machinations.
"I suppose so. You'll have to get better at fighting if you expect to make it even with my help. You have a name, stranger?" Nothing about him was really normal. A small tom covered in blood like it was nothing, with a voice as dead and dark as the night's silent winds.

"Nimue," she responded, sighing with obvious relief at being allowed to come along. "I'll get better," she promised, "and I'll do whatever I can to help you along the way." Nimue didn't know this tom or his ambitions, but she saw a cat worth following. So if he wanted to rule the world? So be it. If he wanted to be the kindest, most decent cat in the universe? Nimue would help it be so. The small cat was quick to love and easy to ensnare, two traits proving dangerous to her now. But Nimue never cared much for caution, and so in a moment her heart and mind were stolen and she became fixated. "Um... may I know your name?"

His tail swept behind him, finally having enough and stepping out of the pool of blood he had been standing him. He gave a slight smile, tilting his head in a charming way. His ambitions? A little vague at the moment, but he was discontent with his life in Sunclan. He needed something bigger, better, deadlier. Somewhere they would recognize him for the lord he was. Now he just needed a castle.
"Draculad." His voice was smooth, cool enough to sell the name to some people. It was better than any mortal name given to him by someone else, after all, "Let's go then. Night's still young."

"Draculad," she whispered, the name sounded like a prayer to her. "Where are we going?" All weariness and sadness were gone from her now, her green eyes were bright and her tail twitched excitedly. She felt as though she was on her way to a new life. A better one. And Draculad was the cat to lead her to where she needed to be.

Taking a deep breath, a feeling of freedom washed over him. He forgot, almost, of the reason he ran away in the first place. It was for this exact feeling. One that made his paws itch to run. Where were they going? Draculad didn't know, didn't care at this moment. The night felt young, and he was suddenly bursting with energy. "We'll go wherever we want. Do whatever we want." He moved a bush out of the way, suddenly revealing the wide expanse of the fields below then and the dark sky above them. "The world is ours to conquer. Make them remember our names. That's what I want."

Nimue padded up the edge and looked out at the world they were intent on conquering, paws churned the ground in anticipation. "When we're done," she promised confidently, "no one will ever forget the name Draculad." She never would. And she wanted to see to it that no else did either, even if she was yet unsure how they would accomplish such a feat. "Where do we go first? What do we do?"

Draculad's heart pounded at the promise. No one will ever forget the name Draculad. That's what he wanted, all he dreamed of. To throw away the name Nocturnepaw, discard that brief yet suffocating life in Sunclan for a new lease on life here. Baptized in the blood of the fox, he turned to Nimue with a smile and answered simply, "Let's go to twoleg place. As far away from these foxes and clan cats as possible." They were still near the forest, but he could make out the blinking lights of the city in the distance.
