Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. She was awake. She couldn't say how long she was, or if she had been asleep before, but she was awake. The soft snores that were only a slight buzz against the silence, however, was enough to alert the tyke to the fact that it was still night, whatever time it was. And the fatigue that seemed to brew stronger and stronger in her by the second seemed a clear sign she had yet to sleep that night. Keket-tyke blinked, part of her wondering in the brief moment of shutting her eyes would have her the next moment opening them up to the shapes of her den-mates tumbling around. Yet when she opened them again, it was as silent and still as ever.
Soigne was on sleep duty tonight. She had grown hot lying beside the rest of the kittens and the origins, so when the night grew dark and she couldn't take the heat anymore, she rose to her paws and slipped to sit further out in the Post in front of the groups of sleeping kittens. She glanced back as she heard a kitten stirring. She couldn't see who it was, but she waved her tail in invitation for the restless soul to join her. The cream feline didn't want any tykes to wake up their siblings if they couldn't sleep, it was too late to be awake.
