Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was unlike the fiery ginger she-cat to be out at night instead of curled up in the warmth of her nest, but sleeping was proving to be difficult for her tonight and so she stretched her short limbs and trotted out of camp. The warm night air that buffeted her thick pelt made her smile, her deep brown eyes glowing in the light of the moon over head, she was thankful of all the nights she couldn't sleep that tonight was at least a good one. The sky was clear and each star could be seen twinkling brightly as if calling out to the world below, it truly was a beautiful sight but more breathtaking than that was the flashing lights that caught her eye from further up the path. "Fireflies!" She purred in excitement as she quickened her pace toward the little light bugs.
So focused on the sight before her she was unaware of just how close she was to the NightClan border, her eyes staying focused on the Fireflies that danced around her brightening the darkness of the night and reflecting on her ginger pelt. True to her name, the glow around her made her pelt look like fire flickering in the breeze.
Most cats within NightClan were to afraid to cross their own borders and to explore the lands that lied beyond, but then again Divinepaw wasn't like most other cats. Staring out over the border sent a shiver down his spine,a sense of excitment that never seemed to dull. He was a free spirit, a cat that would never be happy to remain in one place for to long.
Perhaps this time his father wouldn't be able to hunt him down, and drag him back kicking and screaming into the clan. It wouldn't be the first time it had happened, nor would it be the last. With a quick glance back over his shoulder, he made a break for it. He sped up into a full run, loving the feeling of the wind in his fur and freedom. Out here he could be who he wanted to be, not bound by any silly rules or traditions. Out here, he could be himself.
However, his little freedom break was short lived as he stopped only a few paces past the border as the fireflies began to flash before his eyes. The young tom skid to a stop, as his giggles filled the air. Other might find it silly, but he couldn't help himself. Chasing fireflies was one of his favorite past times, and he couldn't stop now. He playfully batted at the air, as a sudden movement caught his eye "Who....Who are you?"
Firefly turned at the sound a voice not familiar to her, the little lighting bugs around her now forgotten as her brown gaze fell upon the white cat before her. "Who are you?" She asked back, his scent was not of SummerClan and yet here he was on their territory questioning her. Looking the tom over thoroughly she came to the conclusion that he must be an apprentice, still young, of course she wasn't exaclty a senior warrior having only been given her full name a moon ago. "Why are you on SummerClans territory?" She took a step forward, her eyes showing hostility and her thick fur fluffed out even more than normal.
His fur bristled slightly sensing some hostility coming from the cat before him, and knowing that she could probably take him if she wanted. He look down wide eyed and took in a big wiff of the scent, knowing now that he had crossed from no man's land into the territory of another clan. "Oh.... This is SummerClan?" he questioned, forcing his fur to lie flat. No one she seemed so angry at his presence. Hopefully she would understand that he hadn't meant any harm
"My apologizies... I was out exploring when I saw the fireflies in the distance. We have fireflies in NightClan to, and I always stop to chase them. Life it to short not to enjoy it, ya know? I didn't realize I had crossed over a border"
She listened carefully to him, and realizing he was alone began to relax, he alone could do no harm. "You need to be more careful, is someone else had been here they may have attacked you without letting you explain." She shook her head and took a step closer so she could see him better. "My name is Firefly, what is yours?" she asked, her ginger pelt still lit by the dancing glow of the fireflies around them.
"That is a pretty name, mine is Divinepaw" he smiled, but then realized that he probably sounded like a jerk "I mean I don't think I am divine or anything, that is just what my father named me. He is a little odd" he chuckled.
His father had high hopes for all of his children, always pushing them to do better, work harder, and strive for perfection. While many of his siblings thrived under the pressure, Divinepw crumbled. Doing anything to stay out of his father's hateful glare
