Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Now that Leatherfern, was Leatherstar once more it was time to settle their differences before it resulted in another war. She had a lot on her plate... Foxstar was gone, jetclaw was missing, they were at war with the regime, the pride relationship required constant tending, she had a large litter of newborn kits that needed her attention. The newest revelations when it came to Leatherfern were only making things more difficult.
She had sent him a message, that she would meet with him in their old spot tonight as the moon stood watch high above. Most of her clan were sleeping, giving her the chance to slip away into the night unoticed. The kits would be safe with skipstep for now, though she wouldn't be able to linger for long.

Leatherstar waited at the border. Just over it was the rogue territory where they had shared nights that resulted in their son and daughter. Leatherstar would never regret it. But he chose not to cross the border. Instead to wait. His heart ached in his chest. Each beat like the resounding crack of an ancient tree protesting and crying for help as it broke in a winter storm. He was all muscle and determination to most. But only littlebird and Crimsonrose saw the fleshy vulnerability around his living heart.
She emerged from the shadows, the pale moonlight making the white highlights in her fur shimmer. She had choose to go without the paint, for tonight she wasn't Littlebird the priestess promised. Tonight she was littlebird, the cat behind the mask. The cat few cats got to see. Skipstep probably wouldn't like that she was here, but they needed to resolve the conflict between them before it spiraled further.
"I told them everything..." she began. She always knew that one day she would have to. She had never wanted to hide the truth from them, but they also needed to be protect from the more... gruesome and unsavory details until they were old enough to understand.

"Even the parts that shed me in a good light?" Leatherstar meowed rising to his paws to great her. The moon dancing on the natural silver in her gray pelt. She looked like WinterClan at its finest. And Leatherstar felt a painful tug in his heart. Would he ever be over her? He could be a solemn tom at times but Littlebird seemed to always bring the light out of him. No matter how painful it was.
She couldn't help but to admire the snow that clung to his pelt, it made him seem more alive. He was a WinterClan cat through and through, and he had seemed so out of place for so long. Now he was in his element, back where he belonged. "Everything, they probably know even more than you now"
As he continued to move forward she couldn't help but feel her heart begin to race. She had begun to pick up on his emotions, even though she felt it far weaker than he would feel hers "Leatherstar, don't" she averted her gaze "I'm here to talk, but that doesn't mean we can be together. Don't do this to me, Don't do this to yourself"

He could feel her words not matching up with her emotions. If he pressed he knew he could get her to himself for one night. Just one night. Instead of stopping he met her where she stood and pressed his nose to the curve of her forehead between her eyes. "You wouldn't deny me a proper greeting im sure." he whispered before stepping back. "I hope with the new information presented to them they have lighter hearts and minds. How are they?"

LITTLEBIRD
SUNCLAN PRIESTESS PROMISED
A warning growl rumbled in her throat, as he moved forward despite her words to keep a respectful distance. She had raised her paw to give him a cuff on his ear, but he moved away before the thought had even fully materialized. No matter her inner turmoil, she wouldn't allow him to get to close. She owed that much to Skipstep.
"Lighter heart and minds?" she shook her head "hardly, more like confused and conflicted" even though it was Leatherstar that had wanted them to know the truth it was her that had to to give it to them. He had given her little choice in the matter, and she wasn't about to forgive him for that just yet. Even though they were old enough to know the truth, he couldn't blame her for protecting them from it for as long as possible.
"I told them to come talk with you, I'm sure they will have questions for you"

"I did tell them upon being left at the border that I would come to meet them there over the next three nights if they wanted to hear it from me. But the lack of interaction with their own father could easily have made up their mind without giving me the proper chance." he meowed a little defensive but he could feel in his bones that his kits would eventually know him. "No one can deny the familiar fire in Fernpaw." he meowed. She was like the mix of a perfect little sunny winter storm.
