Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
“Family outing time!” Shadedstar poked his head into the warriors den, scanning then nests for his sister’s cozy bodies. “Oh, and I suggest you surprise me because I have no idea where we’re going.” He smiled, lowering his tone as he remembered some warriors were probably trying to sleep. He turned away from the den, eyeing the sun that was inching its way higher in the sky. Puffs of clouds dotted the sky here and there, but for the most part it was a clear, breezy day.
"Ugh!" Appleshine grunted good naturedly. She rose from her nest, stretched and walked out of the warriors' den. "Family day and you're making me do all the planning, eh?" she joked nudging his shoulder.
Shadedstar stretched from where he stood beside his sister, flicking his thick tail. "Oh, but of course. I planned that we're doing it, you plan what we're gonna do." He bounded to the prey-pile and grabbed a mouse, placing another one next to him for Appleshine.
"Then I guess we'll go explore the valley." Appleshine decided, settling down next to her brother and taking a bite of the mouse. "I actually haven't been to the valley in a while. It's a nice spot." she added between mouthfuls of food.
Shadedstar bounced where he stood. “Yes! I love the valley! The last time I’ve been there was... I don’t remember.” He twitched his tail. “After can we go to the flower meadow? I just love the flowers.” He purred, bounding towards the camp exit. “Common sis, you’re such a slow eater.” He teased.
Gulping down the last of her mouse Appleshine followed her brother out of camp. "Yes we can go to the flower meadow," She laughed in response. "I didn't realize you loved the valley so much!" She added. "I'll race you there!" She took off at full speed. Speed wasn't her strongest spot, she was quite muscular, nevertheless she enjoyed a good run once in a while.
"It's my third favorite spot. I can't believe you did know that, what a sister you are." He purred, stepping slow beside her. Race you there! "Oh seriously? You know I'm not the best runner!" He huffed and broke into a run, following somewhat close behind Appleshine. His stamina was low, which meant within a few minutes he was huffing.
"That makes two of us!" Appleshine called over her shoulder, she wasn't tiring yet but running really wasn't her favorite activity. Appleshine slowed down to a steady lope as they neared the valley. The valley provided lots of sunlight, a cold stream, and some of the best hunting in the territory. She slowed to a walk as they left the shelter of the forest and entered the open land. "I love being out in the open, too bad I'm not fast enough to catch rabbits!" She said glancing back at Shadedstar.
Stopping just behind his sister, Shadedstar lowered his head and panted. "Good thing -- the river passes -- through here." He said between heavy breathes. "I feel the same way about birds, why do they always have to be so high up? Yeah, sometimes they're down low, but come on!" He said, regaining his posture. Hip-bumping his sister while he passed, Shadedstar stopped at the small river and took a long, steady drink.
"Because they're birds!" Appleshine shot back in an amused tone. "Don't you wonder what it's like to fly sometimes?" Appleshine asked, glancing up at the sky, noticing a hawk in the far distance, too far away to be a threat to them. She crouched beside her brother at the river, taking a drink as well.
