Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Okay its your first day as Halflings. Like the halflings in the past. I will be preparing all of your for your Halfling Ritual when you become apprentices. You will learn the basics of what it takes to become an apprentices. Anyone have any questions?" Dreamentertainer asked the group of halflings sitting near him.
Dovecaper the other Nursery Aid had been cleared to leave the Medicine Cat Den. He left the den headed toward the nursery. Just inside the large cavern sat Dreamentertainer with the recently new group of halflings. He stood silently behind the group waiting for the other Nursery Aid to finish talking. "Being a halfling is also about having fun. Dreamentertainer failed to leave that part out." The former deputy spoke.
Stellarkit sat beside her sister, Autumnkit. Stellarkit couldn't see, her blind eyes like miniature moons wrapped in an amber glow. She sat down crossly. She knew she wouldn't be able to do most of their training. She lived in darkness. She couldn't see anything.
Autumnkit sat beside Stellarkit, their pelts brushing. The firey red she-kit trembled with excitement, her amber eyes beaming. This was so exciting! Though, she wasn't sure what she wanted to be, exactly. She wasn't sure if she wanted to be a Hunter, Defender, or Fighter yet but she couldn't wait to discover her potential.
(Stellarkit could be a nursery aid if you wanted to do something different with her. Nursery Aid apprentices are now allowed.)
Rainbowkit wiggled in the spot where she sat. She couldn't contain her excitement that she was now a Halfling. She was ready to start training. She wondered if she was going to be a hunter like her parents Fawnheart and Foxfoot traveling all around the territory searching for prey. Or if she was going to be a defender and defender the camp and stand from the outlook posts watching the territory for intruders. Or if she would be a fighter going on border patrols.
Himawarikit sat by herself amongst the Fawnheart and Foxfoot litter. It had been a few days since two of her littermates had passed away from kitten cough. Her normally bright and bubbly mother had grown quiet. The kitten had stopped being her cheerful self and had finally stopped being tearful.
(Thanks! Ill give that some thought! When Fearful was leader, we had a plot that she would be the next MCA but since theres been a change in leadership, Jet thinks the plots been dumped so I still dont know what Im going to do with her yet lol! Thats why I made her blind and since their mother used to be Springclans medicine cat, I thought it would be cool but we will see how things go. Jet said there will probably be a tryout held)
Autumnkit purred when Rainbowkit approached, "isnt this exciting?"
(I had suggested to Jet for Fallclan to have a tryout when she became ready and comfortable with taking an MCA since there has been some changes to the position with the brought back of the Pilon stone. I will admit I was totally out of the loop of the MCA position being promised to you. Fear never told me about that tidbit and I only found out about it until I became leader. I do totally recommend you trying out with Stellarkit though.)
"What do you think we will learn?? Are they going to teach us how to hunt like apprentices? Or are we going to learn how to fight like warriors? Maybe they can teach you something Stellarkit. I mean isn't Dovecaper blind now?" Rainbowkit rambled on.
(Yeah! I could probably tryout with her! But its okay that you didnt know! No worries! I'm fine with a fair tryout! And if Jet doesnt choose me, then I may have her become a nursery aid or something!)
Autumnkit purred, "I think I want to learn how to be a defender!"
Stellarkit huffed, "they wont be able to teach me anything. I cant see my paw in front of my face! What makes you think I can fight and hunt? Dovecaper probably has seen the world before. I haven't."

Soaringkit sat trembling beside the others, he already had his heart set on becoming a fighter for the clan even though he had not yet started training. He looked up to the other fighters and wanted to be exactly like them one day.
"I want to be a hunter! So I can dash through the territory and chase after rabbits, and be the quickest hunter there ever was!" Rainbowkit meowed grinning at the idea of her chasing after a whole burrow of rabbits. "Its okay Stellarkit, he can help you! I think there plenty of ways Dovecaper can teach you. I mean that's why Thrushstar made Dovecaper his deputy, because Dovecaper is smart." She continued to ramble.

Soaringkit looked over at his littermates as they spoke, he had often wondered if Stellarkit being blind would mean she couldn't train with the rest of them. Surly she would be able to manage with he right cat training her. "You can do anything you set your mind to Stellarkit!" He nudged his sisters shoulder lightly.
Stellarkit looked toward Soaringkit, almost as if she could actually see him. "Thanks, Soaringkit, but I dont have any talent. What I want to do is be a defender but I cant exactly see...my oponents would have that advantage over me..." She slumped down, her cloudy gaze somber.

"You may not be able to see them, but your hearing and smell will tell you where they are. Work on sharpening those, I'll help you. We can do mock battles, so you can get comfortable." He didn't like seeing his sister so sad, he wanted to help her reach her goals.

Soaringkit smiled as Stellarkits sightless eyes widened. "Of course! I'm your brother, I want you to be happy and to be able to do what you want." He pressed his forehead to hers, a silent promise that he would do whatever it took to help her reach her dreams.
