Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Honestly, Lotta hadn't been happy since her promotion. She hated being a guider and being stuck around stinky herbs all day. She was supposed to be a mercenary cadet, not some stupid guider. Sure it was ok if others wanted to be a guider, but she wanted to fight. Her father was a mercenary and he had even been commander at one point. She was supposed to follow in his footsteps. It tended to keep her in a less than pleasant mood which had already gotten her in trouble more than once. Today she had decided to take the day off. She hadn't been given permission to do so, but she didn't care. She deserved a day to have a bit of fun after spending what seemed like an eternity training in the garden. She just hoped she didn't get caught leaving the tunnels.
Cadet Zion was on his way out when he saw Cadet Lotta head towards him, "Oh hey Cadet Lotta, are you practicing battle moves outside?" He asked.
A younger version of himself would have felt jealous, Cadet Lotta was going to be a mercenary, so lucky! But after a week in Post Echo he was happy with his choice. Hunting was only becoming easier and the Regime had been pretty well fed ever since he became one. No surprise there though considering his late night activities. He knew one day he'd stop and maybe years after he'd joke about it off handedly with his dad, but too much time would have passed for him to genuinely get mad at him. Everyone had one of those adventures they kept away from their parents till later, after all.
She froze when she heard Zion's voice. Was he making fun of her? She wasn't even allowed to practice battle moves outside of basic self defense. She turned to glare at Zion after a moment. "Ha ha very funny. Let me guess, you're here to make fun of me right? He must think it was so funny that she had been forced to become a guider cadet when she had her heart set on becoming a mercenary. Of course she did realize the impossibility of her dream, but that just made her even angrier. "If you must know, I was getting ready to go for a walk so that I could get the smell of herbs out of my nose. I've been stuck learning them all day."
"Oh you're not a mercenary? I'm sorry, my mistake. To be honest training to be a mercenary is kind of intimidating, this will come off critical, but personally I find our military's training tactics to be unethical and outdated," Cadet Zion said, but nonetheless came at her side, "So where are we off to m'lady?"
He had a big teasing smile across his lips, he knew he was probably being obnoxious inviting himself to follow her on her break, but it couldn't hurt to pester just a little.
