Snakekit lifted his black and white head from his paws and let his mouth drop open in a yawn as his eye adjusted to the light streaming into the nursery, it felt like he had been asleep for days though he guessed it hadn't been quite that long. With unsteady legs he pushed himself up and began to pad out of the den narrowing his eyes as he took in the sights before him, he did not know every cat in his clan but that didn't matter he knew the important ones. Snakekit gave his small body a shake thankful for his thick fur, it was cold here and he wouldn't survive without it. The tom-kit looked around the clearing not moving more than a tail length from the warm milky scented nursery and sat down with his chest puffed out as if he expected some cat to approach him first.

Sceptickit eyed the other kit who wasn't far away. He seemed to be looking for something or maybe... waiting for something? She couldn't be sure exactly, but she approached him quietly and cautiously. "What are you doing out here?" She asked curiously but not unkindly.

Snakekit looked at the she-cat as she approached him and a smile spread across his face, soft and warm to those looking upon it but below it was tinged with something far different. "Who knows, maybe I was waiting for a pretty she-cat, and here you are." He replied keeping his tone soft and friendly.

She blinked at him, surprised by his words. What did that even mean? She wasn't entirely sure and she was even less sure that she liked it. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Hardly, you can't fool me, Snakekit."

Snakekit let out a purr his green eyes glowing, she was smart to be cautious he admired that. "Hey now, don't bite my tail off. Remember you asked me it's not my fault you don't like my answer." The tom honestly was waiting for anything to happen though he was not disappointed his first visitor had been Sceptickit, she was cute and the ever cautious gleam in her eyes was amusing. Deciding to turn the conversation he ran a paw along the dirt covered ground, and gave a little frown that pulled at his features in an almost frightening way. "I'm sorry Sceptickit, I was just enjoying the warmth and hoping some cat would come along and rid me of my boredom." He spoke the apology softly making it sound as genuine as he could.

"Mmhm." She mused, watching him carefully for a few moments. "What do you want to do to ease your boredom? I have a bit of time on my paws may as well." She smiled at him. Sure, he might not be entirely trustworthy but it couldn't hurt to hang out for a while when they were both supposedly bored.

The tom was surprised at her response but he managed to hide the fact, she was no fool and he could tell she would fall prey to him so easily but that only sparked his interest in her even more. "Why don't we go out and see if we can find anything interesting in the territory." He was already getting to his paws, and without waiting for her reply began to walk along the shadows at the edge of the camp being sure to stay out of sight as he neared the entrance to camp, pausing only briefly to look back over his shoulder at the she-kit and encouraging her to follow with a small jerk of his head.

She watched him with suspicious eyes but followed without a word of agreement or argument. They were similar in age so she really wasn't all that concerned about him. She could stand her own even if she was fairly quiet, after all she was old enough to almost be an apprentice anyways and it would be any day now. "Where do you suggest we go? It seems like you've been out of camp a lot?" She asked Snakekit curiously.
