Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lemondrop looked back to the only sister that had so far been willing to join her on the adventures into the woods. Gingersnap had not yet been convinced, but that was okay. Getting Macaron to come with her was an acheivement all in itself.
"Come on, slow poke ! " The sweet yellow cat grinned, her pawsteps excited. "I want to show you how cool this is ! You know how there are cats in our neighborhood that live together in their houses ? These cats live with each other like that except they're kind of funny and don't have homes and they sleep in the dirt, but other than that they are so cool ! "
It had been effectively six days of Lemondrop saying the same thing over and over again that convinced her sister to give WaterClan a try. What could she say, though ? She was excited !
"I'm coming, alright?" Macaron muttered, slowly hefting herself onto her paws. "You've been telling me how cool it is for like a whole week now, I think I've gotten the message. You're lucky you caught me in a good mood, because that's the only reason I'm entertaining this idea right now." It was true - she'd heard of the Clans before in passing and hadn't felt any great desire to hear about them more, and that desire hadn't increased with her sister's incessant hounding of her. Then again, perhaps they had some good food over there, or something. Macaron was getting kind of tired of the dry stuff her owners kept giving her.
"I've been telling you for a whole week because it's just so cool ! You have to admit, the idea of living in the wild has gotta be fun. Defending your home land, running free. I think I would miss our two leg though. Those pets are just so nice I love them so much. Hmm, but being able to like... climb trees and live a wildlife adventure would be something that sounds so much better. I don't like the peeing in the woods idea though. That seems like someone's bound to get a disease somewhere. Did you know that these cats don't have to go to the twoleg in the white pelt when they get sick? They just feed each other herbs whenever they want!"
Lemondrop was practically skipping now. Was it worth her excitement, probably not. Was she excited anyways, of course. Such was Lemondrop.
"You can defend your homeland and still not live in a tree," Macaron argued, raising an eyebrow as she increased her pace to keep up with Lemondrop. Well, at least they were getting exercise. "I suppose they avoid the Cutter then? I suppose that's one upside." She blinked, the scenery around them rapidly beginning to shift to something completely unfamiliar. "I hope you're not lost, by the way. Because I don't trust you not to be lost. Are we lost? You have to tell me if we're lost."
"I mean you say that, but I'm not convinced," Lemondrop meowed with a grin, a goofy grin. Not that any of her grins weren't goofy; it was sort of a character trait at this point. "Yeah, I guess that's an upside. Although that means you gotta take care of your own babies and I feel like that's less fun. Just think of all the fun we can have without consequence!" Lemondrop winked at her sister, letting out a laugh.
She then looked around them. "To be completely fair, that's how I found this place in the first place ! I was even singin' about how lost I was when a friendly, or not really I don't know if I'd go as far as friendly but he wasn't unfriendly, you know how the strays are, nothing like us civilized folk. Anyways, he found me and that's how I found WaterClan ! I didn't have a single idea of where we were going from the very first moment we left this morning. I think that it shouldn't be far though! We've been lost for seven minutes and that feels like the right amount of time."
Macaron rolled her eyes at her sister's confession. "I suppose we may as well just keep going in one direction, if we've been lost from the very start," she remarked, closing her eyes and huffing. Was that a headache she felt coming on? "If we're lucky, we'll eventually just waltz into their camp."
She paused a moment before pushing her body close to her sisters in some weird sort of cat-hug thing. "You love me," she whispered in her ear, before letting out a giggle. "We can't be far, can we? It's got to be somewhere!" Her tone was back to a sing-song as she danced away from her sibling.
ok should i make a throw away cat that they meet in the camp or something bc i have no other waterclan cats LOL
( lmao i used to have wac cats but i killed them off oops do it )
"I mean, I suppose we should be able to scent when we've crossed into their territory, right?" Macaron mused, lifting her head slightly to sniff the air. "Wild cats leave pee markers around for a reason, so random house cats like us don't push their luck and wander in...Incidentally, what was their scent like when you, uh, visited there the other day? If you could remember, I suppose we could even begin to make our way there ourselves, rather than stumble blindly..."
( i suppose macaron's verbal tic is that she says i suppose once every three seconds )
